Fantastic Condo for Vacation

Guest: The Turtles (Fairfax Station, VA)
Date of Stay: 03/08/12 Review Submitted: 03/20/12

My family and I spent 4 wonderful days in your condo at Solitude. The accommodations were extremely nice and there was nothing more that it needed. The condo was easy access to the ski lifts and Club Solitude where I took advantage of the gym there. It was easy to get to from the SLC airport as advertised. I would highly recommend this condo to others. If we find ourselves back at Solitude we would most definitely rent out this unit again. Thank you for sharing your ski home.

We had a great time

I spent a wonderful 4 days at Solitude with my daughter. The condo was great. Spacious and comfortable. Exactly as advertised. The owners were very accomodating and responsive. The location is unbeatable. The ski rental is right around the corner. The slopes are a short easy walk. My only problem is that Solitude does not have a grocery store. We ordered groceries through a contact from the owner, which worked great. But we didn't have a car, so we were a bit stuck for more food. But not worries. Solitude has a couple of great restaurants.

Great family condo!

The condo lived up to its description and more. It was very spacious, very well appointed with some extra touches that made our stay that much nicer. A fan and humidifier were well used. We were able to cook meals easily with all the cookware and appliances provided. The beds and seating areas were very comfortable. We had four in our party but could have easily had 6. All the information we needed was provided by Kathy and Steve. The condo building itself was very well equipped with lockers, storage, easy access parking, hot tub. The complex with the kids' activities made our evenings that much more fun. We will return to Solitude again. Thank you.

A great place to stay

Guest: Scott (Australia)
Date of Stay: 02/04/11 Review Submitted: 02/16/11

We had a lovely time staying at this Condo . We found it spacious , well set out and immaculately clean . There was some noise from the condo above where a family seemed to stomp around a lot , but that was the only small negative. The owners are extremely nice and helpful . The location is excellent , in the centre of the small village but only a few minutes walk to the lift and you can ski back to within 100 yards of the door . Recommended .

Owner response:Scott and his family traveled from Australia to vacation at Solitude. We assisted him with the delivery of the baby items they needed. They were great guests. Our condo is a third floor unit with great views. We are pleased that the condo above ours is not a rental condo through the resort or privately. The owners of the overhead condo use it infrequently. In a condo building it is not unusual to hear ski boots through the ceiling. Scott's description of our "mountain home" is accurate.

Lovely, spacious Condo

Guest: Love-to-Ski! (Salt Lake City, UT)
Date of Stay: 01/28/11 Review Submitted: 02/01/11

We had a great experience with this Condo. The place is large and very comfortable. The beds were really comfortable. The kitchen is well appointed and the amenities are great. My kids loved the pools and hot tubs. It's a short walk to the slopes. There's a great pizza restaurant in the Village. The underground parking is really convenient. And the owners were easy and fair to deal with. Solitude is a mellow resort with great skiing and amenities. It's also a short drive (or bus ride) to Brighton--our favorite family ski resort in Utah.

Owner response:Kathy and I do appreciate the comments of our guests. We are original owners and have spent many days enjoying our condo at Solitude Mountain Resort. We love to cook and have supplied and decorated our condo for our use and relaxation. We have found that our guests enjoy the fully supplied kitchen to accomodate their cooking needs.

Solitude Heaven

Guest: Sunshine State Skiers (Thonotosassa, Florida)
Date of Stay: 01/31/09 Review Submitted: 02/09/09

Wow! It's everything as described and more. From the initial contact with the owners, to their follow-up with all the information a visitor to Solitude could want or need, Kathy and Steve went above and beyond to make our stay pleasureable. The condo was clean, crisp, well maintained and a pleasure to come home to after epic days on the slopes. Ski lockers are convenient, underground parking is a blessing, and check-in was easy, friendly and welcoming. Solitude is a joy and so is this condo and its owners. Disciminating travelers will be pleased - this is a rental not to be missed!

Owner response:This is the way we feel about our "Mountain Home." We decorated and supplied our condo for our and your convenience. We love to cook-in and just relax with the music. We thank Cheryl and John for their comments. We have a relationship with Solitude Mountain Resort to issue the keys for our condo and handle any concerns that may come up during your rental. The condos that rent with lock-boxes in the lobby have no back-up to handle lost keys or other problems. Solitude is a great destination for skiers. Great snow and no lift lines.

We stayed in the condo over spring break. The condo was clean and a great location. We had everything we needed. Owners sent package with lots of info on where to get supplies and local resturants. Great location also for kids to hang out after skiing.

We all had a FABULOUS time in Solitude! We had anywhere from 6-15" of new snow every day except Wednesday, which was bright blue sky and sunshine - just awesome. The condo is beautiful, roomy and very comfortable. All in all, it was a very memorable and fun trip, and Kathy & Steve provided us with so much information on the area ahead of time that getting there and getting set up was effortless.

The best family vacation we ever had! Very relaxing, no lift lines, great snow, fabulous mountain. The condo was very warm, inviting and comfortable. The transaction went through without a hitch. It was a pleasure doing business with the owners who went out of their way to accomodate us. Thanks again Kathy and Steve.

We stayed in Solitude the week before Christmas--the snow was fabulous, the unit was great, and was one of the largest in the building and the owners very classy. Our 2 son's spent a day in the ski school and had a very positive experience. The lift lines were very short and the everyone was friendly--would definitely go back...

This was the most peaceful, relaxing place we've ever stayed. We spent a week at Powderhorn Lodge last August and did not want to leave. Solitude is known for its snow, but don't dismiss the summer months. From the amazing views, exhilarating hikes, plentiful widelife and spectacular wildflowers this area has a lot to offer. (The highlight of our trip was "hiking" with 2 Bull Moose on the trail to Lake Mary)!! After our late morning hikes we would come back to our comfortable condo to take a soak in the hot tub or lounge on the balcony watching the Aspens on the opposite hill sparkle in the afternoon sun. The spacious rooms were very cozy and the kitchen was well stocked with all the necessities to make a hearty breakfast or substantial dinner. We also enjoyed the many amenites in the village such as the restaurant, spa, pub, general store, ski lift, bike rentals, BBQ and I already mentioned the hot tub! Even though Solitude has the feeling of a far away place, it is only 15 miles from Salt Lake City and all a city has to offer. We also enjoyed a few side trips to the surrounding area. We drove over to Park City, via Guardsman Pass and south through American Fork to visit Timpanogas Caves(a must see)!! We will stay here again and we highly recommend this wonderful condo and the Solitude that comes with it.
