Breathtaking view!!

Having two terraces was wonderful, because one had an overview of Florence and the other one had a nice view of the neighborhood (cat, garden, trees and tiled roofs). The apartment is huge and very quiet with a very comfy bed. Everything is at a walking distance from the historic centre of Florence. We have enjoyed our stay there.

Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway.

Wonderful Apartment

My husband and I stayed here for a week in May 2011. This apartment was fabulous and really added to our stay in Florence. The apartment has spacious rooms and high ceilings. It could easily accommodate more than two people but we found ourselves quite at home here with just the two of us. It was very clean and well equipped, and we even found coffee and biscuits when we arrived. The location is ideal, far enough away from the madness but not too far. An easy walk to the center of Florence. There are grocery stores and restaurants nearby. We applied for a discount card at the Centro supermarket which provided some excellent two-for-one specials. Although beautifully decorated with lovely art and a mix of antique and modern furniture, the best features are the two terraces. The front terrace has a breath-taking view of downtown Florence and the back terrace overlooks some lovely gardens belonging to an older couple. It was wonderful to enjoy morning breakfast, a glass of wine and/or dinner on the terrace. One day we didn't even leave the apartment but instead sat in the loungers on the terrace and read all day. We enjoyed the travel books in the apartment and took in the observatory hike following the instructions from the brochure there. A well spent morning. If I ever return to Florence I don't think I would stay anywhere else. This was by far our best accommodation in all of Italy. Roy and Kathryn in Nanaimo, BC, Canada.

Tommaso, thank you for a great apt. You were very helpful and nice. The apt. is large and the view is perfect! Better than the pictures. The walk up four flights of stairs is worth the effort. The neighborhood is quite and the walk to the Ponte Vecchio kept our weight down. I have kept your contact info. to give to any friends who might go to Florence. A sweet and charming flat? Classificato con 5.0 su 5.0 Our visit to Florence was a huge success, thanks in part to the amazing flat we found on the internet, to our surprise. We have never visited Florence or Italy for that matter so it was hard to predict what to expect from an internet reservation. Since we are from North America we are quite picky and fussy about the standards of our lodgings. Our major concern was for our safety and since we had a vehicle, of course, parking. Well, few days into our stay at the apartament we felt relaxed and at ease Because the building is very secure and located in an exclusive part of the city where tourists do not really venture into. Mostly well to do locals. Another concern we had was noise because we are sensitive sleepers and find it hard to sleep with a lot of noise around. The grounds were very quiet at night even with the windows open, you could only hear the occasional ambulance sirens but have enough distance from that after a few nights it never posed any real problem and that's with wide open windows. Parking is tricky in all of Florence The apartament itself is beautifully decorated, spacious and charming with large windows just about everywhere you turn bringing in plenty of daylight inside. The view from the terrace is breathtaking, all of Florence is at your feet and we took many pictures from the balcony as it's quite spectacular. In the evening one can sit with a bottle of Chianti and be mesmerized by the surreal peace and tranquility of the city in front of you all lit up. The owners are very charming and warm people who went out of their way to help us locate many attractions and interesting locations. We thank Franco for all his help during our stay. Overall the apartament is large, very clean and well maintained with lots of restaurants and shopping close by. It is located 10 min. walk from city center and 2 min. walk to the Boboli gardens. This is an exclusive area of the city located in a very green and lush area that bousts many beautiful villas and high-end apartments as we discovered walking the grounds and nearby streets. Locals are very curtious and pleasant and will always go out of their way to help you and advise you as we discovered on Many Occasions. We toured the city and Tuscany extensively over our 2 week stay and always looked forward to coming back home to the apartament for the view and charm. Def

We stayed in this property summer of 2008. It was great. New applicances, well located, and very comfortable. Would stay again in an instant.
