This is a centuries old house of "original construction." Exact dating unavailable due to revolutionary destruction of municipal records in early 20th C., but the thick walls which hold coolness in heat of day, the interior courtyard, the scallop shell decorative motifs [reference to St. John's baptisms with sea shell] and the very central location adjacent to Parrochia all confirm its authenticity.

Large "great room" [15' x 35'] adjacent to kitchen [cocina] with 2 sinks, refrigerator, gas stove, water cooler, fully furnished, and the courtyard with fountain, flowers and plantings and garden furnishings.

Large Master bedroom with large closet and a full bath on first floor adjacent to kitchen and courtyard. Small bedroom Alhambra of Moorish design with single bed off courtyard with full bath.

Very small little Celde, single bed, up rear steps. Shares bath with other single room.

Rooftop "Casita" bedroom with large closet and a full bath adjacent to spectacular rooftop view of Parrochia next door and scenic surrounding hills and sunsets behind Parrochia Dome!

Wonderfully convenient to all centro advantages: Post office, DHL office, money exchanges and banks, restaurants, shopping, and the Jardin.

  • What a wonderful place. It is only a block off the Jardin and close to everything in SMA Centro. We had two parties with over 40 people and we were not close to being crowded. Lupita cooked for us on three occasions including one of the parties. What a wonderful person. I would highly recommend this home to anyone visiting SMA.

  • We had a wonderful time in our home away from home in San Miguel. It is a very comfortable house and is very close to the Jardin which makes it very nice for shopping. The kitchen is very adequate if you want to cook, but there are many wonderful restaurants in San Miguel. The maid and gardener were very nice and Juan, the gardener, speaks very good english. Angelica was very helpful and we would use her transfer service from Leon. Would defintely stay here again.

  • Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed staying at your house. The locations was amazing! I had very few problems and Lucha helped me with the ones I had. Just one suggestion: get a corkscrew and some wine glasses. Other than that it was perfect. Hope to rent the house again in the future.

  • We spent a delightful week in August in this beautiful house that is only steps away from the Jardin. The house is the classic Mexican house with an interior patio and bold clay colors throughout. It is easy to cook in or step out for meals in the restaurants that abound in the area.
