Shipwreck Point Estates was the choice for Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett during the shooting of the idyllic Honeymoon Beach scenes for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button in 2007. The privacy from paparazzi and proximity to the beach made Shipwreck an appealing property.
Have you ever wanted to drop out of the Rat Race, sit on a quiet beach, and do absolutely nothing, but do it in style? Would you like to watch the waves wash back and forth through volcanic rocks, listen to the gentle surf sounds, and experience the cleanest air and water on the planet?
Would you like to see shore birds, sea turtles, and dolphins from the front yard, wave to people on cruise ships, sailboats, and megayachts coming and going from St. Thomas? If so, this is the place for you!
Located on 3 acres of private landscaping with 850 feet of shoreline, this beautiful two bedroom, two bath bungalow with guest cottage offers gentle breezes, a sunset view, and a remarkable interaction with nature.
Shipwreck Point derives it's name from the wreck of an iron ship 30 yards from the point in 15 feet of water. All that remains is a part of the keel and some ribs, but it holds beautiful tropical fish and coral. We recently hosted a group of divers who told us the snorkeling from our front yard rivaled anything their professional guides had shown them.
A rustic staircase leads from the house to the Swimming Grotto, where you can enjoy an intimate, private swim, or snorkel the wreck and boulders. The water can also be accessed from another spot on the property with a pebble beach
We have completely remodeled and redecorated the two bedroom, two bathroom house. All three bedrooms have air conditioning, Cable TV with VCR/DVD and total privacy. The grounds feature shade trees, lawns, and floral plantings.
The "Tree House" guest cottage has one bedroom, kitchen, and bath, with a private deck. Newly constructed in the traditional West Indies vernacular style, it is nestled among palms, turpentine trees, tall cactus, orchids and other flowers.
Guests are met at the ferry dock and, oriented to the island, and escorted to the property. A car or minivan is provided. Additional vehicles are available.
It has been said that this bungalow and guest cottage should be featured in a magazine! You can be as active or as lazy as you wish here, Water Island has always been a very friendly, comfortable, and safe island, It endears itself to you, and after a week or two, you can't imagine going back to the Rat Race! Honeymoon Beach, within walking distance, is magnificent and uncrowded

April 16-November 14....$3,000/week
Discounts will be given for stays of 3 weeks or longer.
One half (1/2) deposit is required plus $500.00 refundable security deposit is
required at time of booking. Prorated for additional nights.
Balance of the payment is expected 14 days prior to your arrival. All cancellation
made 30 days prior to arrival wil be refunded in full. Cancellations
made less than 30days will have a $350.00 booking fee.

My son and I stayed at Shipwreck Point in March and we will definitely be back in the future. The property is lovely and the view is spectacular. Shipwreck Point was beautiful, clean and it felt lime home. It is so amazing because you are right on the water. You can walk right outside and fish or throw rocks in the sea. The sunsets were one of a kind and Shipwreck Point is the ideal location to watch the sun fade away. Honeymoon Beach was only 2 minutes away and it was the perfect place to spend the day. My son is 3 years old and he loved the beach. The water is flat calm and crystal clear. We had lunch at the beach each day at Heidi's Honeymoon Grill. They even showed a movie on the beach one night! Water Island is truly unique and so much fun. It is perfect for families and couples. Shipwreck Point is the perfect island getaway and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Virgin Islands.

My family had the best time enjoying this property on Water Island. The entire experience is something to remember for a lifetime, and the minute you leave, you look forward to the next time you will have the opportulnity to return. It is a piece of paridise!!!! We were amazed at the view, the beach, the friendly island people, the activities available on the island, and the house and cottage could not be more fun...the decor is tropical, beautiful, and well mlaintained.

Sue and Steve's home was wonderful from the beginning of our three week stay to end. It was the second time they shared their home with us. Their home brought sunshine to our hearts. We felt so welcome and completely relaxed with the sound of the waves and the warmth of the sun. Water Island is the right choice for a family vacation. Shipwreck Point will bring your family together with the beautiful sunsets, wonderful beaches, walks at night and the safety of having your family stay at Shipwreck Point. I have been to Shipwreck point several times. It is absolutely beautiful. The grounds are lovely and the inside is decorated with elegance and charm. Sue is an artist with a flair for decorating. The view is spectacular. You feel as you are living on the ocean. The tree house cottage is lovely. I would recommend this property highly.
