Perfect cottage

I rented this cottage with my husband and two daughters ages 3 1/2 and 6 months, along with my aunt when we were visiting from Australia. The cottage itself is immaculate and I cannot fault it in any way. It has all the imenites needed, it is very comfortable, warm and extremelly clean. The master bedroom and bath are very spacious and we were able to put a portable crib for our daughter. The closets are huge and held all of our luggage. The beds were very comfortable and there is cable TV as well. We were looking for a place close to downtown Carmel as well as easy access to Monterey. The location is ideal as it is only minutes walk to the shops of Carmel, and just a couple of blocks from Highway 1. I grew up in Carmel and found this location ideal as it is right in the village of Carmel and has all the charm I had been missing. Next time I visit Carmel, I will want to stay in this cottage again, without a doubt. Carolyn has been great and made things easy as can be. Tara Pinochi Australia

What a lovely place! It is very cozy and comfortable, which helped us relax and have a lovely stay. Just the right distance to town for a nice morning walk for coffee. Both owner and greeter were very nice, responsive, and easy to work with. Also perfectly located for visiting the town of Carmel, as well as an easy escape to many outdoor activities in the area. Would recommend to others and hope to stay again in the future!

We spent a weekend in this lovely home right in the heart of the village - and it was everything we could have hoped for. Plenty of space for four adults and a toddler. It really is a spacious, clean home. Did I mention it is in the heart of the village? Great location, beautiful tree-lined street just a few blocks from the main commercial drag on Ocean. Master bedroom/bath is huge, great kitchen and a nice fireplace that warmed up the living room on a cool evening. We will definitely be back!

My husband & I were looking for a restful, quiet cottage in Carmel after meetings in San Francisco and this home was everything we were hoping for! Gabriel met us when we arrived and was so hospitable & helpful! The house was spotless, well equipped and had a lovely patio. As the evenings were quite cool we especially enjoyed the fireplace. Another plus was that it was an easy walk into Carmel so we didn't have to drive everywhere! No question--we'll be back! Boones from Texas

This is a great house! The location is walking distance to downtown, the house is very clean, the internet speed is fast, the courtyard is handy when you have little kids, the pictures are accurate, and Carolyn is a notably good host. We stayed a week with our 2 and 4 year old children and everyone had fun. We even forgot to pack an iPhone charger and Carolyn lent us hers for a few days. That’s service!

Beautifully furnished and immaculate house. Peaceful and fully stocked with all the amenities like a luxury hotel. Wonderful bathrooms. A treat to stay here for a wonderful respite from reality. Nice walking distance into the village. Would definitely return for future trips to Carmel.

We just returned from a wonderful week of vacation in Carmel. This was one of our best vacations ever. This house is one short block from the main street (Ocean Avenue) and close to everything. The neighborhood is quiet and charming and the house freshly painted and beautifully landscaped. The owner met us when we arrived to show us around the house and then left her cell phone number with us with instructions for us to call her for anything. The house has two bedrooms and two bathrooms which was perfect for our family of four. Towels and sheets were new and high-end. The beds were very comfortable. The master walk-in shower was awesome. The kitchen was furnished with every gadget, utensil, and appliance imaginable. The house was very clean.There is a full size washer and dryer that we used a lot allowing us to pack lightly for the trip. We enjoyed sitting by the fireplace in the mornings drinking coffee and planning our day's activities. We visited Big Sur, Monterey, Santa Cruz, and Pebble Beach, and spent a lot of time just walking around Carmel. The grocery store and restaurants are close. We enjoyed walking over to the old outdoor Forest Theater in the evening to watch movies at sunset. There were no problems at all in working with the owner. It is evident that she goes way out of her way to make renting her house a pleasant experience. We can't wait to go back.

Wonderful Carmel Bungalow

This lovely home is bright and cheery, immaculately clean and well appointed, with comfy beds, lovely towels and linens. The kitchen is well stocked with all necessities. Upon our arrival, the owner greeted us with small rose plants as gifts … it was Mother’s Day Weekend and we were celebrating with a Carmel getaway. The house is a delightful walk to downtown Carmel, is on a quiet street and a charming neighborhood. We would stay there again!

Great location for a relaxing Carmel vacation

We had a great time staying at this house in Carmel during our long vacation weekend. The house is very bright and inviting, and the sofas were extremely comfortable. We cooked several meals at home and sampled some of the more popular restaurants in Carmel, a very nice blend compared to only eating out. The place had everything we needed to prepare a nice meal. We watched several movies while we were there, which was the perfect end to a day of fun and sun at the Carmel beach, Pebble Beach golf course, and local shops. We frequented the various coffee shops in Carmel during the morning hours. The neighborhood is hilly, but we used it as a good excuse to get some exercise. Downtown Carmel is within walking distance, and we enjoyed the quiet, nature-oriented neighborhood and the forest/hiking trail that is just at the end of the street. If you're looking to get away from the city and just relax, this is a perfect place to do just that. Carolyn was extremely nice and the logistics of the stay were very simple.

Our family has been coming to Carmel for approximately 30 years but this was the first time we decided to lease a Carmel home. It was incredibly lovely and everything the pictures portray it to be! This lovely cottage is spacious, filled to the brim with beautiful furniture and rugs, pots & pans, a patio to sun, eat and drink, washer/dryer, etc. and we will definitely lease it again. We spent a week in Carolyn's home in July and absolutely loved it. It was everything we hoped it would be and more. The house was perfect for us...great layout, beautifully decorated, perfect location. Staying at Carolyn's made our trip so relaxing and fun. We wouldn't consider staying anywhere else in Carmel. A lovely, warm, comfortable home beautifully equipped. Four of us enjoyed it for a week and would definitely return. Cooking in the wonderful kitchen was terrific. Everything you need is right there. My family recently vacationed in Carmel and had the priveledge of staying in this clean, cute house. It was so warm and comfortable and it made me feel right at home. It had all we needed to make our stay one of the most enjoyable vacations we've had in years! The owner, Carolyn, was just wonderful to work with and I would recommend her and her home to anyone wanting to get away and relax. She surely knows how to make that possible!
