This beautiful Villa is on its own private beach, arguably the best and longest beach in all of Belize. You can walk to native restaurants or play in the warm waters of the Caribbean Ocean. THE FAMILY VILLA is located just minutes outside of the town of Hopkins, the "friendliest village in Belize".
The Villa was built in 2003 to host large families and groups of friends who wish to stay together to enjoy the treasures of Belize. This is truly an adventure vacation area; within two hours of the Villa you can reach the best of Belize’s activities, or just stay at your vacation home and enjoy your own private pier and beach activities.
The Family Villa is built on a double wide beach lot 100 feet from the water edge. It also has a private beach palapa (raisin club) and a private pier with its own 30 foot palapa. The raisin club is its own enclosed games area, ideal for a kids play zone…..right on the beach and away from the main house. We also have a 100 foot pier with a 30 foot palapa at the end. This is ideal for swimming, diving, fishing, snorkeling or just plain sun tanning. The extra large lot, the raisin club, the private pier and palapa make the Family Villa uniquely “one of a kind” in Hopkins.
The large open air pier palapa extends 130 feet into the water. The private pier palapa is where you will spend most of your time; morning coffees, all day water/beach playing and evening cocktails. Evening star gazing from the pier provides your own unique getaway, personal to The Family Villa.
The beach is ideal for water activities for people of all ages, as it has a smooth sandy shore and bottom. The sea bottom slopes gradually and you can walk over 100 feet from shore before you are over your head. The ocean is perfect for hours of water volleyball.
The Villa has 4 private bedrooms. The master bedroom is on the second floor with its own king size bed, bathroom and sitting area opening up to its own second floor veranda overlooking the ocean. The second bedroom is also on the second floor, has two queen size beds, its own private bathroom and opens up to the second floor veranda. The third room is on the main floor, has a queen size bed, its own bathroom and French doors providing a grand opening to the sea. The fourth bedroom also on the main floor has a queen size bed and shares the main floor bathroom. Each room has its own air conditioning and ceiling fan allowing 10 people to spleep very comfortably.
The main floor has a large entertaining area and a fully equipped kitchen, ideal for chilling out or hosting a large gathering.
Concierge Services;
Personal gardener grooms the beach, waters and trims the mature garden once a week. This assures you will have the nicest beach experience possible.
Customized spray program. We have established an eco-friendly spray program to assure our Villa is the most comfortable in the area.
It is highly recommended that you enjoy the local Garifuna cuisine while in Hopkins. You are within walking distance of some of the best restaurants in Hopkins or if you wish our concierge can have a cook come to prepare your meals in our kitchen (extra charge for the cook).
Golf carts are the most convenient way to travel around Hopkins. They are available on a daily or weekly basis and will be delivered directly to the house for your convenience (extra charge for the cart).
If you didn’t want to walk the beach or drive your golf into town, there are bicycle rental shops in town.
Our relationship with the resorts in Hopkins allows you easy access to help plan tours, help with babysitters, and generally answer any questions you may have about Belize.

Our group of ten (6 adults 4 kids) had a wonderful stay at the Villa. It fit all us very comfortably. Some of the features of the house that we liked the best were the huge back yard that had plenty of shade and the dock. Off the dock we found star fish, sea urchins, conch and a manatee. Tonnes to do with trips to the ruins, cave tubing, snorkeling, fishing and strolls down the beach. We had a wonderful time with Luckie our snorkel/fishing guide the best part was catching an eighty pound Tarpon on a hand line. We toured the village and ate at all the little places; from Innes to Tina's to the bakeries in peoples homes. The local market in Bellmopan was fantastic although a little drive away. Recommend a car or you can rent dirt bikes to get around. Still have a lot more we wanted to fit in; just didn't have the time... next time.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children, sightseeing.

We loved our stay in Hopkins. The house is very nice and a great value. One member of our party said that Hopkins is a diamond in the rough. I believe that says it all. Would go back and stay in the family Villa. Cant not mention our favorite eatery. Robs, the food is fantastic and a super value.Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, pet owners, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

From the amazing sunrises on the private dock to the fun loving dogs to the fabulous local food and attractions it was all perfect. 4 of us spent 9 days at the house which really felt like home. Having Chunko, Maya and Cash at our door every morning to greet us was heart warming as we are all dog lovers who missed our critters. They played in the water and hung out with us whenever we were outside. The property manager was easily accessible and could not do enough for us. Down the beach at Beaches and Dreams Tony and Angela kept us very well fed with fabulous food and Tony was our hook up for activities. He arranged for snorkeling, cave tubing and a trip to the Mayan Ruins. The local restaurants were full of culture and charm and great food. The atmosphere is very laid back and everyone was very cheerful and helpful. Chef Rob at Parrot Cove fed us well and we also ate at his other place, Love on the Rocks. The night we went they had garifuna drumming while we ate. It was lots of fun. The day before we left for home we had a spa day at Butterflies. It was the very first time I got a massage and the masseuse didn't comment that my neck was one tight knot! So, I guess I was already relaxed. Sign of a perfect vacation. I must say that getting to Hopkins off the main road is not an easy task. It taskes about 1/2 hour to go 6 miles because it is all dirt and potholes, but it's worth it!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

Thank you so much for opening your home to our group of 8 friends. We are from Illinois, Iowa and Canada. The week started with 6-7 local boys visiting and inviting us to the drumming school for a special performance. Don't miss it. Our group loved going to Hamanasi for scuba, snorkeling, Sittee River kayaking tour and scarlett Macau tour. We would recommend them all. We loved the Driftwood in the north beach for pizza and Innies for hamburgers. We met so manyt nice people in Hopkins. Everyone is as interested in us as we are in them and everyone was accomodating. We loved Chunko the dog as we are all dog owners and dog lovers. Slow down, relax, be patient and enjoy this wonderful town and relaxing home. The people here live a simple life and are so happy. They have welcomed this group of 8 into their community aand their lives. Thanks again for the wonderful time and I pray we get to come back again.Did you find this review helpful? What an event having 15 of our family and friends between your home and Dean's. We barely slept so we could do as much as possible... hired a boat tour out of Dangriga to Tabacco Caye and the frigate bird island with Ishmail; hiking in both Jaguar Preserve and Bocawina, a boat ride to the "hand-made" isldand with Boo. Great food at Rob's, Innies, King Kasava, Thongs, and Beaches and Dreams. I want to put a handle on Chunko (beach dog) and take him home as carry on. We all missed our own pets, so he was a delight. The Villa is beautiful, thank you for sharing.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Thank you so much for the use of your wonderful Villa. We had a delightful time enjoying the comfortable accomodations and beautiful surroundings. We swam in the ocean everyday. We enjoyed getting to know Chunko (the beach dog) and loved the garden setting. It was fun and relaxing to sit and eat outside, enjoy the odd game of chess and see the stars every night. Charlton (tour guide) was a real highlight of the trip. We had two interesting adventures with him. Pat and Jim, our in-laws are excellent bird watchers and have travelled all over the world to enjoy bird watching. They were very impressed with Charltons knowledge and dedication to helping them "build their birding list"....they saw 41 new species with Charlton. Our day with him to the Mayfair jungle reserve and the Blue Hole was interesting and fun. We had a tremendous meal at Beaches and Dreams. Thank you so much for such a lovely environment to enjoy Belize.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

What a great trip. The villa is wonderful. I will miss going to sleep to the sound of the waves. We all experienced a lot of firsts on this trip; cave-tubing, zip-lining, snorkeling....it was a blast. We want to take Vicki home with us - it was a real treat to come back after a long day and have her busy in the kitchen. Charlton (tour guide) was a lot of fun to hang out with. Tanya and Uwe have a wonderful restaurant and they took good care of us as well. We also had Jerald, Myrian and her daughter tooking after us as well....great snorkeling and good trip to Monkey river. Thank you for this opportunity! We appreciate your generosity.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2007
About the owner: Our family has been travelling to Belize for many years now, but purchased our own villa in 2007 in Sittee Point just outside of the town of Hopkins. Since then we have travelled down as much as possible including a trip this past Christmas with our entire extended family of 19. It was such a relaxing yet exciting time as we toured around showing everyone what the area had to offer. Some of us ziplined, others took a Cave Tubing Tour and many others just put their feet up in the palapa on the beach in front of our villa to enjoy the splashing of the waves and the sunshine. The villa catered perfectly to everyone in our group from the age of 4 to 74! We created truly unforgettable memories.
Why the Owner Chose Hopkins:
We chose Belize because we have always enjoyed the friendly people, amazing scenery and unlimited activities. We chose this location in particular due to it's proximity to the warm waters of Belize and the second largest barrier reef in the world. Stretching for miles, it beckons you to snorkel, dive, fish, fly fish, bird watch or just float in its clear blue waters. Our coastal waters boast the famous Blue Hole and coral atolls.
The local ammentities including grocery stores, restaurants and local entertainment are only a short walk away. The trip down from Dangriga is convenient and the weather is beautful. What more could we ask for?!
The Unique Benefits at this Villa:
The Family Villa offers a private beach that extends from the waters edge to the villa's veranda that provides privacy as well as a great place to start a long walk or a beach game.
If total relaxation is what you are looking for a transfer from the airport, a Maid service, and a cook can be arranged for an additional fee. If you prefer to be your own chef, the villa offers a fully equiped kitchen for your convenience as well as many local restaurants that have delicious food on offer. During your stay you will often find local fisherman that will sell you their fresh catch from their boat for an extra special meal!
The villa sleeps up to 10 adults as an entire villa or can be rented by the room. Please see our website for further details and pricing.
