Our group of ten (6 adults 4 kids) had a wonderful stay at the Villa. It fit all us very comfortably. Some of the features of the house that we liked the best were the huge back yard that had plenty of shade and the dock. Off the dock we found star fish, sea urchins, conch and a manatee. Tonnes to do with trips to the ruins, cave tubing, snorkeling, fishing and strolls down the beach. We had a wonderful time with Luckie our snorkel/fishing guide the best part was catching an eighty pound Tarpon on a hand line. We toured the village and ate at all the little places; from Innes to Tina's to the bakeries in peoples homes. The local market in Bellmopan was fantastic although a little drive away. Recommend a car or you can rent dirt bikes to get around. Still have a lot more we wanted to fit in; just didn't have the time... next time.

This is wonderful place to stay and Hopkins is a very friendly little village. We went as a family of three adult siblings & 5 of our children. We had plenty of room in the villa, but the private pier is absolutely amazing !!! It is a great place to escape to !!!

We loved our stay in Hopkins. The house is very nice and a great value. One member of our party said that Hopkins is a diamond in the rough. I believe that says it all. Would go back and stay in the family Villa. Cant not mention our favorite eatery. Robs, the food is fantastic and a super value.

From the amazing sunrises on the private dock to the fun loving dogs to the fabulous local food and attractions it was all perfect. 4 of us spent 9 days at the house which really felt like home. Having Chunko, Maya and Cash at our door every morning to greet us was heart warming as we are all dog lovers who missed our critters. They played in the water and hung out with us whenever we were outside. The property manager was easily accessible and could not do enough for us. Down the beach at Beaches and Dreams Tony and Angela kept us very well fed with fabulous food and Tony was our hook up for activities. He arranged for snorkeling, cave tubing and a trip to the Mayan Ruins. The local restaurants were full of culture and charm and great food. The atmosphere is very laid back and everyone was very cheerful and helpful. Chef Rob at Parrot Cove fed us well and we also ate at his other place, Love on the Rocks. The night we went they had garifuna drumming while we ate. It was lots of fun. The day before we left for home we had a spa day at Butterflies. It was the very first time I got a massage and the masseuse didn't comment that my neck was one tight knot! So, I guess I was already relaxed. Sign of a perfect vacation. I must say that getting to Hopkins off the main road is not an easy task. It taskes about 1/2 hour to go 6 miles because it is all dirt and potholes, but it's worth it!

Thank you so much for opening your home to our group of 8 friends. We are from Illinois, Iowa and Canada. The week started with 6-7 local boys visiting and inviting us to the drumming school for a special performance. Don't miss it. Our group loved going to Hamanasi for scuba, snorkeling, Sittee River kayaking tour and scarlett Macau tour. We would recommend them all. We loved the Driftwood in the north beach for pizza and Innies for hamburgers. We met so manyt nice people in Hopkins. Everyone is as interested in us as we are in them and everyone was accomodating. We loved Chunko the dog as we are all dog owners and dog lovers. Slow down, relax, be patient and enjoy this wonderful town and relaxing home. The people here live a simple life and are so happy. They have welcomed this group of 8 into their community aand their lives. Thanks again for the wonderful time and I pray we get to come back again.

What an event having 15 of our family and friends between your home and Dean's. We barely slept so we could do as much as possible... hired a boat tour out of Dangriga to Tabacco Caye and the frigate bird island with Ishmail; hiking in both Jaguar Preserve and Bocawina, a boat ride to the "hand-made" isldand with Boo. Great food at Rob's, Innies, King Kasava, Thongs, and Beaches and Dreams. I want to put a handle on Chunko (beach dog) and take him home as carry on. We all missed our own pets, so he was a delight. The Villa is beautiful, thank you for sharing.

Thank you so much for the use of your wonderful Villa. We had a delightful time enjoying the comfortable accomodations and beautiful surroundings. We swam in the ocean everyday. We enjoyed getting to know Chunko (the beach dog) and loved the garden setting. It was fun and relaxing to sit and eat outside, enjoy the odd game of chess and see the stars every night. Charlton (tour guide) was a real highlight of the trip. We had two interesting adventures with him. Pat and Jim, our in-laws are excellent bird watchers and have travelled all over the world to enjoy bird watching. They were very impressed with Charltons knowledge and dedication to helping them "build their birding list"....they saw 41 new species with Charlton. Our day with him to the Mayfair jungle reserve and the Blue Hole was interesting and fun. We had a tremendous meal at Beaches and Dreams. Thank you so much for such a lovely environment to enjoy Belize.

After a long and arduous journey from the "frozen north" to arrive in the paradise was truly wonderful. All of the wonderful people who welcomed us and showed such love and warmth. I am so, so grateful. How luck we all are.

What a great trip. The villa is wonderful. I will miss going to sleep to the sound of the waves. We all experienced a lot of firsts on this trip; cave-tubing, zip-lining, snorkeling....it was a blast. We want to take Vicki home with us - it was a real treat to come back after a long day and have her busy in the kitchen. Charlton (tour guide) was a lot of fun to hang out with. Tanya and Uwe have a wonderful restaurant and they took good care of us as well. We also had Jerald, Myrian and her daughter tooking after us as well....great snorkeling and good trip to Monkey river. Thank you for this opportunity! We appreciate your generosity.

For a third world country, I have found all the villagers to be very content. The small children are clean and dressed well for school. I loved the small children!. Tanya and Uwe were fabulous, a wealth of knowledge and a great restaurant (thongs). Charlton (local tour guide) made the holiday! I'm sure he may be very lonely the next few days. The trips to the jungle.....I can see why people come back to stay. Belize I will always have fond memories.

If there is a "paradise on earth" we found it here. It seems cliche to say "thanks for the memories" but appropriate considering all there are; fabulous tours, fabulous places, fabulous food and amazing people. thank you Constance, Hal and Kyle for sharing your Belize with us.

The opportunity to come to your Belize home with you and friends has been an amazing experience. It has been so different and wonderful from my other travel experiences because we were able to mingle and be amongst the local. I can't thank you enough.

Now that we are back in the States and dealing with our daily lives again, I wanted to tell you how much we all enjoyed our stay in your home in Hopkins Village. The house was perfect for our needs and beautiful. Loved the location, people and village. Issy was an incredible help and great fun! I'm happy to say we all call her "friend". Along with her husband and kids, Tania, Uve, Sharon and Horace. We had the opportunity to spend a day with a Mayan couple, Rosario, Geronimo and their children, in Medina Banks and the southern ruins. Very enlightening and we will stay in touch with them also. Loved driving around the country... we rented a large van... experiencing the land and other people. Went to Tikal....amazing! That was also a Guatemalan driving experience I won't ever forget. The Reef was calming and inspiring and our days spent snorkeling were filled with joy. It was Sharon's first time and she is already planning another adventure. The people at Jaguar Reef were very helpful answering question and arranging some of our day trips. The restaurants were colorful and tasty. Enjoyed the Friday night event at the drumming school in the northern part of Hopkins. So many things I will never forget that will be responsible for the smile on my face at any given moment. Thank you for making your home available! Will let you know when we are ready to visit again. Your friend, Jan from Phoenix

The Family Villa has a storey behind this elegant beauty. The Family Villa now has a new owner, they started management of the Villa in 2007. The owners set on a path many years ago, looking for their own Tropical Villa to rent. It grew out of a desire to enjoy the tropics now and into retirement. They were looking for accommodations that wasn’t over priced and in a location that was still natural and not over developed. The ultimate paradise playground must be on the beach and have the diversity of choices in what to do within close proximity. It must create the desire to roam the country and sea side knowing the beauty of the area is calling you. With the privacy of a last frontier in paradise but with access to concierge services similar to a top resort including a pool, great places to eat and night life. The Family Villa is all that and more.
