Our family had a wonderful week at the Marriott Ocean Club condos. Everything went according to plan and our rooms were perfect for our family of 10. We range in age from age 2 1/2 to grandma and grandpa and there were wonderful activities for all of us. The pool was a definitely a highlight for us as was the closeness of the beach. And of course for the shoppers (and diners) we loved being within walking distance of Whalers Village. The on-site restaurants were just great for breakfast and dinner but you can't beat the Hula Grill in Whalers Village for long, leisurely, relaxing lunches! In regard to booking with the owner I so appreciate all the time and effort he spent in making our trip a good one. And now its back to reality, with happy memories and 1000 pictures.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

My family of 4 had the good fortune to stay in the absolutely perfect 1-bedroom unit at the Maui Ocean Club during the week of the July 4th holiday. The rooms were pitch dark and quiet, a requirement for jet-lag recovery! The fold-out sofa bed was very comfortable for our 2 children and the kitchenette was a lifesaver for those mornings when we all just wanted a bowl of cereal to start the day. The pool and pool bar were fun for all but the highlight-and necessity if you are traveling to Hawaii- was the beautiful beach front just steps away. The availability and convenience of the fresh towel exchange was something we appreciated greatly (and surprisingly not a guaranteed service in other establishments). The staff was friendly and helpful, especially the activities desk coordinator. The location is ideally situated within beach-front walking distance to other hotel restaurants and Whaler's Village. A word of advice: reserve the beach-front cabana chairs as early as possible. They go fast!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

My family just got back from a trip to Maui. We had such a great time in Kaanapali and especially at the Marriott. The room was just as described. It was a great fit for our family (2 adults and 2 kids) plus our friends (2 adults and 3 kids). Most days we were able to eat breakfast and lunch in the room, which saved us a ton of money on food. This is a much better option for families than a standard hotel room. The Marriott's three pools were fantastic, especially the "superpool", and the Marriott's grounds were immaculate. Service at the Marriott was friendly and responsive, but not over the top (we weren't looking for the Ritz Carlton, so this is just what we wanted). We enjoyed the location too. We were able to walk to Whaler's Village with ease, and I enjoyed jogging up and down the path in front of the Kaanapali hotels, and some mornings I even ran into Lahaina. Evan Price was responsive and pleasant to work with. We checked in at the Marriott without a hitch, and the room Evan reserved for us was perfect - 6th floor, oceanfront, on the corner overlooking the ocean (and the beautiful island of Lanai and the Marriott superpool). Evan made sure that every detail was in order for us. Next time we go to Maui, we will definitely rent from him again. Oh...the ocean front room view was spectacular. I was shocked at how close to the water we were! (My seven year old bragged that he could have thrown a baseball into the ocean from our lanai). My husband and I loved to read out on the lanai and my kids enjoyed eating out there. Nothing beats an early morning cup of coffee on the lanai with that fabulous view and I loved hearing the sound of the ocean right outside our room. Thank you Marriott and Evan! We had the vacation of a lifetime.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

I stayed at the Marriot Ocean Club from 7/9/2010 through 7/17/2010 with my family and two of my brothers and their family. This was easily the best vacation we have ever had. The Marriott Ocean Club property is spectacular, the views are incrediable and the peolpe are awesome. I would highly recommend this resort to anyboby looking to stay in Maui. One of the many things that made our stay so great was the suite into which we were booked. We stayed in a 2 bedrooom, 3 bath suite located on the 9th floor (top floor). It was a corner unit that had views of the beach, pools and mountains. The only reason I was able to get such a great suite was because I booked this time-share through Mr. Evan Price. This was the first time I had booked a time-share through an indivudal and I was originally a little hesitant. However, Evan easily won me over. There were a number of reasons why I booked through Evan but the most important to me were that he was very easy to deal with, he new a lot and I eman a lot about the resort, and he came across to me as being very honest and sincere. My decision to book through Evan was the right decision as he delivered exactly what he said he would deliver. We booked in October of 2009 and between then and when I arrived at the resort I had spoken to Evan at least 10 times via email and phone. This communication allowed me to get the many questions we had about the resort and, Maui in general answered, and provided Evan with an understanding of what I was hoping for with regard to my "perfect" room. Evan did not let me down. Not in my words but in the words of a Marriot employee who indicated to me, after I kidded that I wanted to buy the suite he quickly followed up by saying that we were staying in the nicest room in the resort and I believe it. The views were outrageous. Evan and his wife also provided us with an invaluable gift at our check in. They gave us two Marriott insulated bugs that we could refill for free with coffee and soda throughout our stay. What a gift and how very considerate it was. Bottom line, I would highly recommend booking through Evan as he delivered as he said he would, he is a great source of knowledge about the resort and Maui, and he really went above and beyond what he needed to do as he was always available to take my calls or answer an email. Thanks Evan for a great vacation!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children.

My family stayed at the Marriott July 2 to July 9, 2010. The rooms were clean, larger than expected and up to date. The oceanfront view from the top floor of the Molokai building was spectacular and well worth ever penny. All questions and concerns I had, prior to renting, were answered promptly through e-mail conversations with Evan Price. If in the future I have plans to return to Kannapali Beach, I will certainly check with Evan Price FIRST.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers.

We rented a unit summer of 2009. The owner was very helpful at ever point through the rental process. We LOVE the Marriott, it is the best property on the best beach on Maui. It is both great for those that want to relax or families on the go. I highly recommend this owner and facility.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/1

My husband and I just recently stayed at the Maui Ocean Club with our two young children. Evan Price was a pleasure to work with. He was responsive to my phone calls and emails inquiring about the amenities and his responsiveness was excellent. The process was straight-forward. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to working with Evan again in the future.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/1

We stayed at the Marriott June 24-29th, 2007. Wow, what an exceptional experience! The owner ensured that the stay was flawless, followed up with us during the stay to ensure that all was going well, and went above his obligation to make this vacation memorable. The property is fabulous and the condo itself was spacious, well appointed, and has a great kitchenette. The beach and pools are clean & wonderful. Staff are helpful, friendly. Shopping nearby. We travelled with 2 small children, and this resort is great for families. Easy quick access to Lahaina for dinner, shopping, site seeing, ect. I cannott think of one thing bad - perhaps only that the restaurant is mediocre - but many other options close by, and a kitchenette for breakfast, ect. Great Stay!Did you find this review helpful? My husband, Bob, and I rented from Evan Price in Feb 2005. We used the VRBO website and found the Marriot Vacation Club. It was also our first time to use this procedure and it was a little scary, but everything was just as we were told and there were no complications of any sort. The resort is wonderful and the rooms were very nice, we enjoyed the small refrigerator and microwave in the room and the view from our lanai was wonderful! We had oceanview, not ocean front--there is a difference, but it is a great view as long as you are near the front of the resort building. The ocean front rooms cost more and they are worth it. I would highly reccomend this way of renting since we had no problems with it at all. You will have a wonderful time and enjoy your room and the resort a lot. Evan Price was very thoughtful and worked nicely with us. We would love to go again and would rent from him whenever we do. Wish we were going soon! Owner info
Year Purchased: 1999
About the owner: We have been coming to Maui for over 20 years, and feel blessed that we are able to do so again this year. We feel as if we have enjoyed most of the pleasures of the island and are happy to share our experience with anyone who is interested. We have also visited all of the other islands and resorts and find the Maui Ocean Club superior to all based on the quality of the resort and the proximity to dozens of things to do to entertain the entire family. With over 12 years of experience renting to our satisfied customers (100+), we have built a reputation of always delivering on our commitments.
Why the Owner Chose Marriott's Maui Ocean Club:
Kaanapali Beach is the most sought after beach on Maui, and possibly in the world. Hawaii has been rated the number one resort destination for many years, and the Marriott property has always been certainly equal to the best on Kaanapali. Located less that 3 miles from the charming whaling village of Lahaina, with it's shops, theaters, harbor and restaurants, the Marriott is perfectly located on the Kaanapali beach walk, which also connects to Whalers Village, less than a mile down the beach with more shops and restaurants. The Marriott Maui Ocean Club has improved consistently over the last 13 years; hence, it now ranks first along Kaanapali beach!
The Unique Benefits at this Hotel:
The Marriott is uniquely equipped for families with lagoon pools(3), Pirate ship pool, beach activities, whale watching (Nov - Apr), para-sailing, sailing, snorkeling, surfing, excursions, volcano exploring, golf and many other activities. With the addition of the two new purpose built towers (Napili and the Lahaina towers), two additional lagoon pools have been added with associated lounge areas, pool bars, hot tubs and beautiful lawn areas.
