Condominium is in a part of the ground floor of a pitturesque villa Belle Epoque in one of the most famous residential street of Arcachon, nearby restaurants, shops, beach and Casino. With 1 bedroom with a double bed (linens provided), 1 bathroom with sink,washing machine, shower cabin and Water Closet, a kitchen with microwave, cooker and oven to bake, dishwasher refrigerator with freezing, cooking utensils provided. The kitchen is openned to the livingroom whih is with sofa bed for 2 people. High Speed DSL line, TV and DVD are also available for your entertainment.
Parking is in front of the villa. Possibility to rent bikes to enjoy all the path-cycles, with one in front, to go to the beautiful beaches on the bay and the ocean. All kinds of Watersports are also accessible for your enjoyment and you reach the nearest beach in five minutes walking.
It is a good base to explore Bordeaux, capital of this wine country, Saint Emilion, Basque region and Biarritz palaces, Pyrennees mountains and Spain. Your toddlers will love the calm waters on the bay beaches and your teenagers will safely find lots to do, with all kinds of watersports such as surf lessons or hang glide off the Dune du Pilat, the largest and highest sand dune in Europe, from the top you discover an exceptional point of view on the bay.
Five minutes from the condominium, you can walk to the beach, to the wonderful french daily market, to the Casino or cute frenchy shops. In the area, many french seafood restaurants but also asian or italian or spanish cooking are available. From Arcachon, many boat excursions are organised to explore the island from the bay or ferries are used to join others picturesque villages. Arcachon is the Europe's oyster capital and a commercial fishing centre as well.
The condo is also quiet and you will enjoy trying french breakfast, with croissants and pains au chocolat or "chocolatines" here bought from many bakeries within walking distance. It is at the ground floor of a Belle Epoque Villa, built at the beginning of the 20th century, which is, at Arcachon, a sort of cutesy victorian architecture, particularly typical here and the tourism office organises sightseeing along the streets, specially in Ville d'Hiver. You can also enjoy Thalasso therapy in Arcachon unless you prefer to go for a ride in "Medoc" one of these so famous Bordeaux wineyard, test and choose some greatest bottle of wine.... Some advices about wine or trip around should be provided by the owner, english speaking, present in the villa for summer. |
