Location: Munising, Upper Peninsula, Michigan, USA (Jenny Lake Resort is located 14 miles Southwest of Munising)

Accommodations:  Cottage, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths (Sleeps 2-6)

Jenny Lake Resort is located in Upper Michigan's beautiful Alger County, the snowbelt of the Midwest. It has a private five acre lake with great fishing and no public access. The secluded forty acres tucked away in the Hiawatha National Forest make this a wonderful peaceful retreat with nature and wildlife all around. It is just a couple of minutes to the snowmobile trails with very easy access not having to cross any main roads.

The cottage is fully-equipped with all the modern conveniences one would find in a metro area including high-speed wireless internet. It has an open airy floorplan and a 3 season sunroom. There is a fitness area in the basement, which includes a treadmill, free weights, and a power cage. There are games, video's, DVD's, books, and a pool table with a ping pong table to pass the time inside. There is a fire ring for bonfire's down at the lake and a dock to launch the canoe or rowboat we provide.

Book early for your special date in July or August because they go fast!

    • Pet Friendly: Cannot be left unattended. One large dog crate is provided for their safety when they need to be left behind.
    • Minimum Age Limit for Renters: At least one person in group needs to be 25 years of age.
    • Smoking Not Allowed: This is enforced, even the slightest hint of smoking in the cottage will result in automatic forfeiture of your deposit as well as additional deep-cleaning charges.

    • Thank you for letting us use your home. It is absolutely gorgeous ! We felt so relaxed like it was our own. We have been going to the UP for 10 years now. Your home is the best ever. The use of your home with the use of all the amenities that you offer was the topper of the whole trip. It was so nice to have all the comforts of home plus so much more. The beauty of colored leaves, the lake. The peace and quite. The five geese and seven turkeys that came in all the time. Wow, they weren’t even afraid of us or my dog. That was really neat and also surprising. It was so relaxing. We got to enjoy ATV riding without all the hassles of hooking up a trailer and taking them somewhere else to ride. There were just so many trails you could follow. Then during the day or in the evening to be able to enjoy your home. Play ping pong, was so much fun. We never got to play pool. Which didn’t bother me I can play anyways. Then if you wanted to work out you could even find time to do that. Hopefully we can come back again. We’re planning for next year.

    • I was searching the internet for a get away spot near Munising as a Christmas present to my wife. The area has some great cross country ski trails with plenty of pristine snow. I came across Jenny Lake Resort and it sounded perfect. I wanted something private that was off the beaten path and that had plenty of accommodation's to enjoy. We couldn't have been happier with our stay at JLR. The beauty and solitude JLR offered was exactly what we were looking for. We have some great photo's of bright sun sets to heavy lake effect snow showers. We also came across a flock of about 12 turkeys near the property that flew off as we approached. We spent the evenings by a cozy fire. We'll be back and are considering bringing a couple of good friends with us. There's plenty of room and accommodation's for a group. Thanks!

    • Our whole TV crew stayed at the JLR for the 2007 Snow Shoot and had a great time. While the other folks stayed in a chain hotel across town 8 of us lived the good life at the JLR - and we were closer to the great riding than anyone else. We didn't even get time to make the most of the Dish TV, weight room, or whirlpool. We couldn't have asked for better accomodations for our tv shoot - hopefully they'll have us back.     • Fantastic Accomodatons! The 3 of us had a good time snowmobiling. Snow was very good and so was the weather, the days it was around 0 to 10 degrees during the day was best for sledding. We put on nearly 1000 miles in 6 days. Had a few nights the temps. got down to -20 but you wouldn't know it, the house stayed cozy warm, what great insulation. Best accomodations in 13 years!
