  We had an amazing stay at Big Bear Lake Haven thanks to Destination Big Bear. The cabin was immaculate and there was everything we needed. The price was very affordable, especially where we were staying. We were right by the golf course and within a walking distance of Bear Mountain. I will definitely go back for another vacation!

  The house was absolutely amazing! It was very spacious and had everything we wanted. The game room was awesome, we all enjoyed it very much. We cannot wait to come back for another visit. The location for us was perfect, not to far out from the slopes or the stores and restaurants. I think the best part was being able to bring. The whole family and to have something for everyone to do. The least part was having to go home after spending two great nights and 3 days at this beautiful getaway. Thanks for an amazing trip!!

  We rented a cabin this past weekend for our parents 40th anniversary. There were 16 of us and to us, a very special occasion. So of course before ever going I was a bit concerned about finding something with enough space and things to do for such a large group and just trying to make sure that everyone ended up happy. After searching craigslist and calling what must have been at least 10 different companies and browsing through 20 or 30 different cabins, I finally found a cabin that I really liked and thought would fit us all perfectly (and was actually still available, we were only booking a month in advance..I was unaware that for most good cabins it looks like you may need up to a years notice!). From the get go, the people at destination big bear where more then willing to walk me through everything, answer all my questions and reassure me of all my worries. I seriously must have called them 15 different times! And each of those 15 times I was greeted with a friendly, more then patient person on the other line, or through email (cuz i did email them a few times as well!) They even recommended to us a different cabin, thinking it would fit us better, that was actually a bit cheaper then the one I was looking at! Since this was our first time going up there, and I figured they probably new better then me, we of course took their advice and ended up staying at a cabin called snow summit retreat. We absolutely lovedddd it!! It was beyond beautiful, around the block from snow summit, a dozen hiking trails and right up the street from big bear blvd (which for us ended up perfect for the 5 or 6 bike rides we needed down to the store for this or that). They let us check in early and check out late and for our group the time to pack up was definitely needed and appreciated! When we first got there we couldn't figure out how to open the door, but one quick phone call had someone walking us through it. And later the next day, we couldn't figure out how to work the spa, and again were walked through it with no problem. All and all, a wonderful trip that the whole family has now agreed to make an annual event. And trust me, we will be using and recommending nothing but destination big bear!

  We stayed at the cabin called "Big Bear Lake Haven". It was perfect for us. We had 3 families (including a bunch of little kids). It was safe for the kids and I didn't feel there was a bunch of stuff I was worried about them breaking or getting hurt with. The game room was a hit for everyone. There was a jacuzzi that we never ended up using so I can't speak to it but I'm sure it would have been nice. Everything was clean, so no one was grossed out by dust or an old cabin feel . . . because I've unfortunately rented those type on accident too. But I did do my homework and read lots of reviews on lots of cabins and rental companies this time around. My husband would have loved a high definition TV but it wasn't a show stopper. Every time I called the destination big bear team I was able to get a hold of someone and they were all quite nice. Everyone had a great time and were already asking when we were doing this trip again.

  My family and I just got back from a three night stay at Big Bear Haven, it was one of the best family get togethers we have had in a long long time. There was plenty of games for the kids to stay entertained and we even got some snow over the weekend!! The house was so beautifully decorated, you can tell they spent a good amount of time remodeling the home. I am coming back to Big Bear next year and I can't imagine staying in another home, this was by far the best vacation ever!

  Recommended for: Pet owners, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, people with disabilities.

  The house is getting better year after year. It's become a home away from home. Great memories were made there!

  Thank you so much for making us feel very comfortable. It was a pleasure staying there and we loved everything about it. It gave a lovely time to relax and have fun with our family. Everyone had such a great time and had a calm time. Nobody wanted to leave but we left knowing we will come back some time!

  My name is Samuel Carrizales and I stay with Destination Big Bear many times over each year (under other names when with family). Only once before have I experienced such professionalism from the staff and high quality within the staying quarters (at the Waldorf in NY). My grandparents own a cottage in Colorado so going to the mountains is some what of a home coming for my family and I. Destination Big Bear has made such memorable vacations possible and I will continue to stay with them in the future. Thank you for making us feel at home. -Sam
