Eagle Pines Cabin - Pure Essence of a Vacation Experience

We arrived 7/10/11 and instantly fell in love with Eagle Pines Cabin. The long driveway through the woods led us up to the cabin nestled in tall pines overlooking Dam Lake. The views were simply stunning. The cabin itself is cozy and inviting. It has everything you need for a terrific stay including unbelievable views from the living room, kitchen, and wrap around deck. We saw four Bald Eagles fishing overhead almost every day. And best of all, as secluded and private in the north woods as it feels, it is a ten minute drive to to St. Germain for all your food and equipment supplies (and GREAT baked goodies). Dam lake is pristine and exquisite. Be sure to venture to the other lakes on the chain. That exploration offers up pur magic! We spent many hours sitting on the pier listening to the loons or by a warm fire on the shore at night toasting marshmellows and sharing stories. You MUST go to Pub n Prime in St. Germain for the very best prime rib you will ever put in your mouth! It simply melts; fork only - no knife required. Our only regret is that we did not book Eagle Pines Cabin for two weeks or better still, an entire month. Thanks Pat, for a memorable vacation experience!

Just got back from our family vacation at Koppa's Eagle Pine cabin on Dam Lake. What a comfortable and lovely home to spend time at. The view of the lake is so beautiful and peaceful. The kids loved the private beach, swim raft, kayaking, canoeing, and tubing. The fire pit is an awesome place to roast mello's and have s'mores. Whether you have rain or shine, Eagle Pines is a wonderful place to get away, relax and unwind. From our family to yours.. thanks Koppa's!

The week was everything we expected and more. The water was clean and refreshing for all us swimmers. The kids LOVED the boats and the raft. The kayaks were a favorite for our 9 year old and 13 year old. We had wonderful weather and spent lots of time in the water. The beach was a bonus for our little 4 year old. This was a wonderful week for our family to play games, have bon fires and enjoy the water. It is just as described!!! Thank you so much for opening your home and sharing with us... It was great!!!!

A Little Piece of Heaven

My fiance and I rented Eagle Pines as an opportunity to bring together as many of our 6 young adult children and their partners as could make the trip. We had folks coming and going all week, but everyone had a wonderful experience. As soon as you walk through the door and see the beautiful view of the lake, you know you've made a good choice. Dam Lake is a beautiful lake with some spectacular homes, several families of loons and loads of Bald Eagles cruising about, but very little boat traffic. We rented a pontoon boat for the week and spent many hours cruising both Dam and Sand Lakes. Having the kayaks and canoe was a great addition. The beach at Eagle Pines is beautiful and would be great for young children. We found the cabin to be very clean and well set up for any size group. Ed the caretaker made sure we had everything we needed and was easily available if necessary. I know Pat and Laura have put many hours of labor into the property to make it as nice as can be and it really shows. We highly recommend this property and know that you will enjoy it as much as we did.

We had a great four days at your cabin. Lots of good snowmobiling and playing games while looking out at the beautiful view from your big windows! The property is so beautiful! So peaceful!!!

Thank you so much! It was a blast. We had such a nice winter weekend. The place was great for both our kids (1 and 4) and our folks. The minute you enter you feel at home. The place is comfortable and warm and has all the amenities you need. The views are marvelous and the sunrises are astonishing. It is a true house in the woods and on the lake. We enjoyed walking on the lake, sledding down the hill, cross country skiing on the path, and taking the car for a short drive to Eagle River or St. Germaine. We can't imagine anything better than this. Thank you so much for a great northern-woods experience.

Eagle Pines Cabin was a wonderful place to stay and exceeded our expectations. The Koppas' were very helpful with assisting us in planning our fishing trip, giving us an abundance of information on fishing in the area and fishing guides, and replying to our numerous e-mails! We would definitely love to stay at Eagle Pines Cabin again!

It was wonderful to see the old Vos house in such wonderful condition and to read how the lake still works its magic on those who need to relax and appreciate the quiet of Dam Lake. I hope everyone, and I'm sure they will, enjoy every minute they spend on Dam Lake. This is the best lake in the area. Our family still has their home after 40 years down the road and every generation is thrilled to spend time there.

The cabin was everything the website says it was. Decorated beautifully and extremely cozy. We utilized the kayaks, paddleboats, life jackets, etc. as the water is just steps away and just amazing. You can hear the loons from the bedroom and the place has the friendliest little chipmunk that looks in your window from time to time and greets you when you leave and come back to the cabin. The owners are amazing people and I would return to this cabin without thinking twice. We loved it!

WE HAVE JUST RETURNED FROM A 4 DAY TRIP UP AT THE "CABIN". BEAUTIFUL PLACE ! AWESOME DRIVE UP TO THE CABIN. IT MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE YOUR A MILLION MILES FROM ANYWHERE, YET JUST A SHORT DRIVE TO ANYTHING YOU WOULD WANT TO DO. WE CAME TO FISH. DAM LAKE WASNT RESPONDING WELL, BUT WE DID CATCH A 37"AND 31" MUSKY. 28" NORTHERN AND A SLEW OF VERY NICE CRAPPIE AND BIG PERCH..,AND ALOT OF LITTLE ONES TOO. WE WOULD DEFINITELY RETURN !!! MUST DO'S: KAYAKING,BOAT RIDE TO KNOCKERS FOR PIZZA,CAMPFIRES AT NIGHT,PING PONG IN THE BASEMENT. STUFF WE MISSED BUT WILL DO NEXT YEAR: GO-CARTS, MINI-GOLF AND MABEY HORSEBACK RIDING !! We had a great week at Eagle Pines. The beach is great for small kids and big kids and property is well kept. Everything you need is there for a great vacation - kayaks, paddle boat, swim raft, fire pit. Beautiful lake views. We'll be back next year!

Very much enjoyed our stay. Plenty of room for all 11 of us. Great private beach area...kids spent all day in the water, using the kayak's, paddle boat and swim raft. Awesome lake views. Great pizza at Knockers. Not much luck fishing on Dam lake but did catch some nice bluegills below the dam.

Welcome to Eagle Pines Cabin and thank you for visiting our site! Our first full summer as a northwoods rental has been a resounding success. Eagle Pines has been well used and well loved, with not a single vacant night all summer. We thoroughly enjoyed 2 separate weeks with our kids, creating memories with friends and family. What a great thing to know so many people have had the chance to enjoy the beauty and magic of Wisconsin's North Woods! We've had tremendous response to our rennovations, and the interest in summer 2008 has been surprisingly strong, which is wonderful. Have a great fall and winter. The week in August that we spent at the Koppa's cabin was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable weeks of the year for us. Our three children enjoyed every aspect of being "Up North", from fishing to the kayakes, paddle boat, and of course the smores. The cabin is beautiful, and to start your day out looking at the sun rise over the lake is simply heaven. Truly God's country!

What an amazing, peaceful place! We stayed for a 4 day weekend and could not have had a better time in a nicer place. As a visitor to the Eagle River area throughout my childhood, I have to say this is one of the best places I've visited. The kids had never had an "up north" experience and they couldn't get enough. From the kayaks to the swimming pier to all of the close by activities, they were thrilled. Bon fires on the beach capped the perfect end to each of our days. We are already booked to come back!

We had an unforgetable time here! Absolutely loved the rental home! The pictures do it no justice. Very close to stores & restaurants. Caught a few walleyes, northern & a lot of perch!

This is a very nice rental. The cottage is in excellent condition and has everything you might need. The local towns are an easy drive and offer lots of activities (mini golfing, go-karting, ice cream, good restaurants and grocery stores). The cottage sits high on the lot with great views of Dam Lake. THe lake is wonderful. It's large and has very little boat traffic. We stayed over the 4th of July and could not believe how peaceful the lake was during this busy vacation time. There are two good lake- side restaurants that we boated to for lunch/dinner. Our visit to Eagle Pines was a highlight of our family's summer! Your interior photos can't capture the incredible panoramic view of the lake and amazing trees from the open and airy living/kitchen/dining area. The house felt so fresh and everything seemed so new, clean and cheery. For a family with young kids we loved the sandy beach and clean shallow water. The many boats you included were great fun for everyone, that was a bonus! My kids are still talking about the 2 eagles they watched soaring through the pines on our last night! We are definitely coming back next summer! Thanks!
