Dining room with wood burner, toilet and brand new, fully fitted kitchen with traviata tiles and carved stone sink on ground floor; large lounge upstairs, Satellite TV, hi-fi, L-shaped chocolate suede sofa, leather coffee table, leather desk, 2 bedrooms and bathroom on top floor.
The terrace is a real gem, spacious with great views under fragrant jasmine and bougainvillea for al fresco dining. A light afternoon breeze from the valley means it‘s rarely too hot; very tranquil and relaxing for long, lazy evenings as the sun goes down with a chilled glass of wine.
If things get too hot, wander down the path to the pool, great for a quick dip to cool off under the olive trees, then either enjoy the newly finished 50m squared deck relaxing on a sun lounger to take in the sun until late evening or chill out in the Moroccan lounge area with its atmospheric lighting around the pool.
Ideal to kick back and relax. Life really doesn't get much better than this!
What others thought:
Jane, Royal Opera House, London:
"The house is beautiful in a very quiet hamlet, if woken up it is by birds singing!! Neighbours are warm, welcoming and friendly, the hosts too - they gave us lots of valuable tips and information on things to see, visit and do in the area. It's a really lovely place to stay, you won't want to go home!!"
Berengere, Putney:
"Stunning Mas furninshed with taste, located in a small hamlet away from roads. Quiet, peaceful, perfect for relaxation - one to recommend!"
Bing & Terry Shen, San Francisco:
"We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary belatedly in Provence, after planning the trip for 7 years. We couldn’t have found a more lovely and romantic place than this charming farmhouse -- “Les Bengalis”. (The house has nothing to do with tigers – it is named after a pair of birds which always stay and fly together, according to our host.) We plan to return for a second visit, hopefully in the not too far future.
Best Impressions:
Fragrance from flowers and herbs is intoxicating, view of the surrounding hills is simply beautiful, watching a thunder storm from the bedroom window is refreshing, Best Hours: Candle-light dinner on the terrace."
Carol, Colchester, England:
"The house is wonderful, very comfortable and has everything you could need. It is a lovely place to stay in for the day and swim or laze around on the terrace, surounded with flowers and olive trees.
The hosts are very friendly and helpful. Because they are local they know all the best places, restaurants and beaches to visit and will help you as much as they can. The French neighbours are also very nice and invited us to a barbecue, which was great. I really enjoyed my stay and am hoping to go back soon."

Owner's Profile
Owner Description
I live and work in London within the digital marketing arena, currently in pharmaceuticals, and commute on a weekly basis back to France each weekend, often working from home on Fridays.
It is the perfect mix and a great antidote to the cut an dthrust and stress of city living.
I love this part of the world, it is truly stunning with a great, rugged and unspoiled coastline as you head east into the Var. We feel we are able to have the best of both worlds, we're just 20 mins to the coast and the sea, but in a very tranquil, rural setting - a far cry from the heat and congestion of the coast in the height of summer.
There's loads of activities to do as well, we go sea kayaking a lot and have our own boats; we often head into the mountains and gorges for some great and varied treks and walks; in the winter we have two small (but perfectly formed!!) ski resort just 45 minutes away, with the big resortsof Isola 2000 and Auron just an hour and a half away. It is bliss!
