It's a glorious summer here! We would love to rent to you and have availability starting 8/16/11 throughout the rest of the season and into the Fall.
Are you looking for a restful retreat away from crowds and commercialism? A Country Home is a tastefully decorated, private home with three bedrooms and two baths, located on a rustic lane, set among beautiful oak trees. There are two spacious decks, a fireplace and a fun recreation room with ping-pong, pool table, television and treadmill. Deer love to meander through the yard, while you are eating breakfast on the deck. You are walking distance from the lake and several horse farms. A Country Home provides hospitality to families and their pets! Perfect for family gatherings or a peaceful retreat.
We are the only home on Old Farm Road; the house is on 2 acres. It is private and secluded - you can eat your breakfast on the deck in your jammies and no one will ever know. The front drive has a basketball hoop and the best skate board hill you have ever seen. Many families have stayed at our home and truly made precious and lasting memories there. We would be thrilled to help you plan your time in Lake Geneva, according to your unique needs. We are mid-way between Fontana and Lake Geneva, not far from Balck Point.
The home has been fully inspected by the State of Wisconsin for rental purposes.

I am a Mom, psychotherapist, dog lover and Christian - not neccessarily in that order - when not being a landlord on VRBO. Would love to have you rent from us. We truly treat you like a personal guest. We have lots of renters who return, send us baby pictures and stay in touch. References are available. I will be glad to help you plan your visit to the Lake Geneva area. I specialize in women's retreats and outings and have managed to keep lots of teenagers amused while visiting. Why the Owner Chose Lake Geneva
My Dad became a writer late in his life. He hated pretentiousness and commercial settings. He fell in love with this secluded, private rereat like setting and this was where he came to write. I was blessed to inherit this home from him after he died unexpectedly.

I have rented the country home at least 7 times over the past 8 years. Every time that I rented the cottage, my family has had a great time. The cottage is far enough away from the big city to get away and relax. It also makes you feel that you are by yourself when staying there. We had great family time when staying there. There were no distractions and we got to enjoy each other other and play a bunch of games. The backyard is huge and our dog Rio loved every inch of it. We can't wait to go back again!

This was my families' 2nd stay at "A Country Home in Lake Geneva" and the home, once again, met our every expectation. The home is spacious with great decks in the back overlooking a parklike setting with deer and turkey and the finished basement is spacious with pool table, ping pong, and numerous games. The Wooddale community has a nice Lake Geneva beach area and the Linn boat launching area is two blocks down the road. The house is an excellent retreat for a family looking to experience Lake Geneva, get away from the hussle and bussle, re-energize, and enjoy the beautiful flora surrounding the home. We will definitely return to this retreat!

We rented this property for the month of May and we absolutely had a fantastic time. Even though weather wasn't good with us on 2 of the weekends we had a blast at the house. The basement is perfect for having a ping pong /pool session, playing with the kids or catching a movie updstairs in the comfy atmosphere. It has a great natural backyard, porch, where you feel right at home with no noise at all!! When the weather was nice and we went out it was beautiful. The sorroundings, close to the lake, to the town, t was perfect. We truly enjoyed our time, it is a great place and you should take advantage of it! Our host was very helpful always, very prompt in responding, the house was always clean and has a lot of information for activities in the area. I would recommend it to anyone, anytime!

This is a favorite place of ours, where we have stayed numerous times over a period of more than twelve years. It is a short drive to the town of Lake Geneva, or (in the other direction) to Fontana, yet it has the feel of truly being "in the country" and away from the bustle of the town. We love walking the roads nearby, and the lake itself is only a short distance. There is much wildlife and many species of birds (an owl was the surprise during our last visit). The house itself is comfortable, clean, and beautiful in a simple way, the skylights (see photo) pouring natural light into the living space, and the deck affording multiple outside options. We honestly cannot say enough about this home and its setting. We have always cherished the peace and tranquility of the place. One of us is quite fond of the Avani Spa at the Abbey in Fontana. We both enjoy visits into Lake Geneva (they have a good library with a stunning view of the lake) or into the surrounding towns and villages. It is hard to find a restaurant anywhere that serves better food than what one can find at Kirsch's French Country Inn. In the summer, sources of local produce abound. Local meats and cheeses (and beers and wines) are available year-round.

My husband and I visited for our honeymoon. It was beautiful! The house is very nicely decorated, has three spacious bedrooms and two full bathrooms, all clean and nicely kept. The bed was very comfortable. The fireplace in the living room was great! We had deer visit us nightly in the backyard. The living room had a CD player with speakers which was very nice. The kitchen had everything we needed! Large attached garage was convenient for parking. The road was quiet and we were not disturbed. We can't wait to come back for another visit!
