Sunny and spacious with fantastic views of Martis Valley, this pleasant and warm three-level home is located conveniently near the Northstar Golf Course, Northstar ski slopes, and the amenities of the Northstar Village and Recreation Center.
The large, fully-equipped kitchen, with a roomy dining area on one side and comfortable family room on the other, easily accommodates two families. Relax and get cozy in the inviting living room with views of the valley and mountains, beautiful stone fireplace with gas insert, custom woodwork, wet bar, and piano. A stereo system provides music throughout the downstairs. Family room, living room and master bedroom have satellite TV and DVD players. Wireless internet services are also provided.
Upstairs, the master suite offers a king bed and stunning forest views from the bedroom and from the spa tub. Other upstairs bedrooms include a second master suite with queen bed and a large bedroom with a king bed, both with wonderful views of the valley and mountains. The fourth and fifth bedroom each have two twin beds and forest views.
Outside are two large decks, front and back. The back deck is great for winter snow play and cooking on the barbeque. Plenty of comfortable outdoor furniture makes it a pleasure to eat on either deck and enjoy the view.
All homeowner's amenities are included: Free day/night on-call shuttle to all Northstar locations. Use of the Recreation Center with swimming pools, outdoor spas,Massage Therapy, Tennis Center, Health and Fitness Center, Saunas, Men's and Women's locker rooms, Youth Center (video games, pool tables, ping pong tables, air hockey, TV room, and BBQ area.
Northstar ski area has 83 trails, beginner through advanced, accessed by 17 lifts (express gondola, six-pack express gondola, 6 quad express chairs, triple chairs, double chairs, tow lifts, and magic carpets. The mountain has 5 terrain parks and 2 pipes. Other ski area amenities include ski and snowboard schools, cross-country ski and snowshoe cemter. rental equipment and demo centers, licensed child care for children 2+.
During the summer, the area is open for mountain biking. Wonderful hiking trails can be used spring, summer, and fall.
Northstar Village features a new outdoor ice skating rink (roller skating in summer), Starbucks, special events with live music and entertainment, and a variety of quality shops and restaurants. Nearby historic Truckee and Kings Beach at Lake Tahoe offer a variety of excellent shopping and eating opportunities. Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows ski ares are close by, as are gambling and entertainment at Nevada Stateline.

I couldn't see how to add a comment on the website....We had a wonderful stay with 6 adults and 4 preschoolers--it was just right for us. We were so grateful for the generous supply of dishes, utensils, napkins, etc. And also, there was plenty of SPACE for our use. The beds were all comfortable and cozy. The Northstar shuttle was perfect and quick. Being able to go out the back door to do some sledding and some snowshoeing was a bonus! Everything was working and clean. No problems. Our first family vacation as 4 generations.....The home is incredible! Just the right amount of spaces for each of us. We love the gorgeous view of the Martis Valley and the serenely natural backyard. (Enjoyed the trails out back, too.) We wouldn't change a thing, except maybe to stay longer.
