If you are looking for a place to stay directly on the beach Gulf Coast...this is the ideal place for 6 people! We just stayed the week of May5th to May 12th!..we did not want to leave! The place is Paradise. The house was very clean with ocean views where at night with the windows open you can hear the ocean waves...they put me to sleep every evening!..I was in Heaven everyday & night along with my family! Our transportation was bikes rented from Billy's Bike Rental...a must to have! We had many journey's on our bikes to get to very yummy restaurants and the famous Island's grocery store Jerry's!..Jerry's is like Paradise in it's own setting with it being a grocery store and shops...they have tropical birds from Parakeets to love birds to parrots surrounding the place! The locals are so friendly and want to make sure you are having the vacation of a lifetime...we had fishing poles given to us and bait from locals to ocean fish right out our door, waste deep in water we were fishing everyday...outstanding and unbelievable! The Dolphins would be swimming by taking there time to view all of us in the water..they would jump and splash and make all kinds of noises while we swam with them again Right outside our house Door!! ..I still can't believe all of this happened to us...I keep pinching myself! I feel everyone has to experience this place Sanibel Island atleast once in there life time! No worries on this Island the locals would tell us...full relaxation your entire stay with a huge smile as something remarkable and different happens to you in and out of the ocean water everyday! Driving over the causeway ( as our driver from the airport brought us to the island) is a must see...you go from very busy florida city life to Crystal blue waters and palm trees blowing in the wind...driving over the causeway is the start of your paradise vacation...the view is unbelievable! We rented a weeks stay from the Kingfisher vacations business as we rented the Coquina home 2A...a must to stay in for a remarkable ocean front stay! You will not be disappointed at all! Like I say " I hated to leave..I want to move to this Paradise Island". Thank you for everything. Kristin Wisconsin We left 92 degree weather to come home to 48 degree's YUK!!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, tourists without a car, girls getaway.

My husband and I spent a week at the condo. As noted in the description the view is terrific and you can hear the ocean as you drift off to sleep. The king size bed was very comfortable and the bathrooms appear to be recently redone as they were clean and very nice. The unit has a nice television and plenty of clean, high quality bath towels. Parts of the unit were a bit tired perhaps from all the renters. The sliding door was difficult to lock and the linea door was not properly aligned so you had to slam it shut. The window treatments were older and not that effective at keeping the light out - the bedroom in particular. We were surprised to have single size packets of one laundry detergent and 3 dishwashing soap packets - felt like we were being rationed. Prior places we've rented have bottles of detergents and a general cleaner to use during the week. We bought a bottle of laundry detergent - no big deal. Found the bed linens to be worn and slightly stained - we ended up washing them after the first night. They had 2 beach towels that were thin and worn - thought there could have been a couple of extras left in the unit. These are minor things - all in all the view and beach make up for it!Recommended for: Age 55+.

Karen & Wayne - Thank you for sharing your amazing condo! What a special place!! Everything is perfect here and you have thought of everything we could need to enjoy our vacation. We love walking out the lanai to the beach with our morning coffee and can't believe how quiet it is at night - just the sound of the ocean waves to lull us to sleep. The shelling on your beach is amazing. Everytime we look down we find another shell prettier than the last. t Sanibel is so pretty and we are having a blast at Ding Darling - saw 3 alligators in one day!! Rented bikes and spent the day riding around - it is so level here and the biking is really easy! We have had some great meals too - Salad at Over Easy Cafe, breakfast at Lighthouse Cafe & an amazing dinner at Traders! Your place is the perfect location for a relaxing get-a-way. Hope to visit it again soon!! Overall, our stay was good. The furnishings were comfortable, the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, the price was great. The beach access and view from the lanai was fantastic. The pool and pool area was great. The only exceptions to the great stay are as follows: The spare bedroom is not "hard wired" for cable television and we had to run the line from a splitter in the living room along the floor and we put the throw rugs on top of the wire. The sliding door seems to need some sort of repair, as we had difficulty locking it. At the time of our stay, the WiFi was security locked and the password was not available. We were able to connect to another source, but not the wireless in the unit. The management staff and maintenance were very prompt when we called about help and arrived as promised to fix what they could. This unit has the potential for a perfect rating, if the items above are addressed.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.
