The villa nestles in a beautifully manicured green park full of flowers and old tropical trees. There is direct ocean view from the house and living room and the open air breakfast terrace. With a telescope, you can watch the whales and dolphins jumping. The villa belongs to a small size banana and macadamia nut farm, but there is no direct view to the farm. The house is nicely furnished and beautifully decorated. You are in need for a rental car for shopping or your own travelling.

Supermarkets are close by in the area and it will take you 12 minutes to a bigger shopping area of Port Shepstone or 25 minutes to the famous Shelly Beach Shopping Mall. The place is ideal for retired guests and long time stayers for three to four months in the mild and warm subtropical climate to relax and rest over the harsh; cold and rainy wintertime overseas.

The beach is great for tanning, fishing, snorkeling, surfing, swimming, wind surfing, and lot's more! If you are looking to let your hair down and want to see the razzle and dazzle of a multiculture city, you are only 45 minutes from the vibrant hub of Durban. Durban offers all the night life you will need. Durban is also a great place for the discerning shopper, historian, and cultural junkie. South Africa also offers the visitor unique insights into traditional culture. You are one and a half hours from Shakaland, the all encompassing Zulu cultural experience. You will be transported back to the time of Shaka Zulu, one of history's most feared warriors.

Last but not least, the experience that most people come to South Africa for is the African wild life. Banana Beach only a few hours drive from the world famous Game Parks of Umfolozi, Mkuze, and Hluhluwe. Experience the thrill of seeing Lions, Elephants, Rhinos, Leopards, Buffaloes and other games unique to Africa.

Other free amenities that are offered to the visitors are a live-in maid who will clean the house, make the beds, attend to the laundry and ironing as well as all the dish washing. The villa is in a secured and fully fenced private property of 50,000 sq meters and daily controlled by the private security company Chubb. There is no pollution and no noise. The villa is situated in a mixed upper class environment.

  • We spent four weeks at Bendigo Farm in February-March 2008. This is a great place to stay, and perfect for pensioners (like us) who want to have a peaceful long time vacation. The house is beautiful with comfortable beds. Cooled by fans and the fresh air, it was nice and airy even on very hot days. The garden, or rather the park, is marvellous with the lush greenery, old trees and flowers. Clouds of white butterflies, birds and even monkeys in the trees add to the feeling of a tropical paradise. The pool is spacious and very well kept. Even if it had been blowing in the evening and the water was full of leaves and flower petals, it was meticulously clean at eight the next morning. Great for those who like to swim!
