COMMENTS FROM OUR GUESTS:
"We greatly enjoyed every minute of our time staying at your beautiful home, so much so we didn't even leave the place for two days in a row--the deck is the place to be! Other favorites: watching fall colors change, listening for the owls, enjoying a warm fire." Hudsons and Taylors, October 2007.
"Your mountain chalet was a wonderful place for friends to meet and enjoy so many activities like elk watching, hiking, downtown Waynesville, and gorgeous mountain views. We are so glad we can visit here year after year." The Sullivans and Kennedys, 2008.
"A cloud in our living room! We really could look down on the clouds and one even came inside exciting our children. Staying in your home has been the highlight of our year. Thank you for all the thoughtful extras you have provided." Weiderholds, 2008.

Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2006
Rob Dulaney and Barbara Bishop are high school sweethearts who married 26 years later. Rob is a consulting engineer and Barbara is a counselor, consultant, educator and retreat leader. Her practice, Soul Focus Resources, is in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. We enjoy our professions, but we love spending time with our three grown children and four grandchildren. Traveling is also on our list of pleasures. One of our desires is to hike in all the major national parks in the United States.
Why the Owner Chose Waynesville
After vacationing on Cold Mountain for a number of years, we knew we loved repeat visits to the area. There is so much to do here that it is impossible to do it all. Rather than continuing to rent someone else's vacation home, we decided we wanted to build our own. Fortunately, some acerage was available for purchase. In 2005 and 2006 we built our Cold Mountain Retreat. It is truly our home in the mountains. Since we aren't here year round, we love sharing our home with others.
