We thoroughy enjoyed our 3 night (4th of July weekend) stay at Mary's Cabin at Lake Lure. The cabin is in great condition, with numerous extras. You have thought of everything. The cabin was central to our golf and lake activities. We enjoyed the deck and especially the covered porch during the rainy evenings. Thanks, John BDid you find this review helpful? Our family celebrated my husband's birthday at Mary Ann's Cabin and are happy to say that we made a good decision. The cabin's location is great! The cabin is beautiful, you can see that a lot of love and thought went into the building and decorating of this cabin! The decor is charming and cozy. My husband,mother-in-law,myself and my two daugthers,14 and 10 enjoyed it greatly. We also suggest that you have dinner at Larkin's on the Lake.Great service, food and setting. It's also very close by. We would highly recommend renting this cabin. Looking forward to going back!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

About the owner: Let me introduce ourselves,we are Tim and Barbara Egan and we live south of Charlotte, NC. We were married in May 2006 and had our log cabin built in the summer of that year. We love the location and the neighbors here are very nice. We had looked all in the Lake Lure and Chimney Rock area and found this lot almost by accident. We named the cabin after Tim's mother. She had always wanted a cabin in the mountains and after raising 9 wonderful children we felt that she could also now have her dream. We consider ourselves very fortunate to find such a beautiful community.I grew up on Sullivan's Island, & Columbia SC Presently live in Rock Hill, SC
Why the Owner Chose Lake Lure:
We love the beautiful lake and mountains all around. It is breath taking in all seasons. We took the tour of the lake and just realized how relaxing and beautiful it was. It is an added bonus that Chimney Rock is so close. We went to the top of Chimney Rock and got a birds eye view. WOW it is amazing!! Don't worry they have an elevator to take you to the top. My parents told me to always invest in real estate. It was advise!
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
We enjoy the location and all the kind people there. The lake and mountains are so peaceful as is the cabin. We enjoy watching the wildlife...birds, squirrels, and sometime deer. The deck is enjoyable with the rocking chairs and cooking out on the gas grill. We have enjoyed many evenings on the deck. The jacuzzi tub is amazing too! Especially after an nice walk and a quiet dinner!
