Situated on the fourth floor of a traditional Florentine building, this beautiful apartment allows the visitor to share the intimate heart of the city. This area, although close to the historic center of the city, is where the Florentines live.
The apartment accommodates two people and the light and airy bedroom has an en-suite shower room plus a separate main bathroom. There is a mezzanine sofa bed to sleep an extra person if required. Both central heating and air conditioning ensure year round comfort.
The spacious lounge bears evidence of the interior decorating skills of the owner. Two Venini Art Deco Murano glass chandeliers gently illuminate the living space. Strategically positioned mirrors maximize the light, and a variety of antiques and handcrafted decorative objects combine pleasingly to create a stylish, but comfortable ambience.
There is a well equipped modern kitchen and open plan dining area. From here a spiral staircase leads to the gallery and a private roof terrace with inspiring roof top views of Florence, the Dome of the Duomo to the right and the hills of Fiesole to the left.
If you turn right when leaving the front door, in no time at all you are immersed in the bustling San Lorenzo market where you can share the delights of shopping for Italian delicacies with the locals or barter for a dozen cashmere pashminas with the tourists. Another five minute walk and you can stand between the Duomo and the Baptistery in the historic heart of Florence.
If you turn left when leaving the front door your local store is just two minutes away. At the end of the street on the left you can buy a hearty lunch for 7 euros, in the evening enjoy excellent Florentine cooking with local wines at moderate prices. Two minutes further around the next corner will bring you to one of the best restaurants in the city where any special occasion can be celebrated with panache.
As this is a traditional building, there is no elevator. The accommodation is not suitable for children and is non-smoking throughout. |
