Why the Owner Chose Santee
I have lived on this lake..about 6 miles away, for the past 20 years. I love it here! The lake is 40 miles long....and is just a couple of miles wide at the location of the condo.
Closed to traffic but available to walk. About 2-3 miles if you walk all the way across. Wonderful way to start and end each day! You can even fish from the bridge.

We enjoyed a great weekend at this condo at Ballards Pointe. We were close to the pool and Lake Marion just like the pictures show. We met family there and rented another condo for them. The owner was helpful with making our arrangements. This is a great place to relax. We'll be back next year!

We found Pam's condo through this website and did not know her ahead of time. We decided to rent from her based on the pictures posted, her professionalism and response to all of our questions. We were travelling to Santee with our two young boys (21 months old and 3 1/2 yrs old) to see family. My husbands parents stayed with us one night. There was plenty of room. The balcony was one of our favorite spots to sit and relax. My boys played with their cars on the balcony. This condo is as beautiful as the photos indicate. The location within the complex is perfect - beautiful views, next to the elevator, easy to get to the pool and to the boardwalk near the lake. Pam was extremely accommodating (allowing us to check in early, checking with the condo association to make sure the pool was ready for us to use,etc.). We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our boys loved the pool...the water was cold as it was early in the season...but it was 85 degrees+ most of the time. The maintenance people were very friendly. Pam labelled everything in the condo so it was easy to get comfortable quickly. We had a great time and would not hesitate to rent the condo again!
Owner response:Loved having you guys! Glad that I was able to help make your vacation perfect! I look forward to you coming again!

The condo itself was as represented, and was quite pleasant. It was a very hot weekend however, and the air conditioning was NOT able to adequately cool the unit to our satisfaction. Something broke in the pool filter on Friday, and the maintenance staff were quite unconcerned, saying they would get to it on Tuesday! Consequently, the pool water quality gradually deteriorated over the long weekend! There is a natural area/beach across the inlet (maybe 200 yds away) that locals seem to frequent in large numbers, and they were sometimes loud/rowdy. The most upsetting thing was Monday morning: we took our boat out for 2 hours, leaving an expensive canvas pull toy (uninflated) on the boat slip dock rented by and assigned to us. When we returned, it had been stolen! We were out about $350, with disappointed children! Obviously, it was our "fault" for leaving it unattended, but nevertheless does reflect negatively on the condo complex. Otherwise (seriously) it was a fun weekend!
Owner response:I am so sorry that you guys had the above problems over the Memorial Day Weekend. Due to it being a holiday weekend, the management company did encounter a problem getting a part for the pool filter. Also, I am very sorry that someone stole your uninflated water toy from the boat slip. ;( Wish there were something that I could do about that. Glad that you enjoyed the condo. I have had the AC checked and all is A ok with that.
