Hi, We are having a wonderful week, your house is perfect for our family! The weather has been great too, it looks like Thursday will be our only rainy day. We liked the house and it was really close to the beach. Probably will come back another year, but early summer as we had problems with jelly fish bites. Except that we recomend Hilton Head and this house to anybody who enjoys beach.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

There is no better place to stay for a family on Hilton Head than Temaju. The location is perfect for children and adults. We didn't know what to think the first year we went when our kids were 1 and 2 years old and it was perfect for us. Low stress, easy access and tons of room on the beach for them to play. The walk to the beach is very short and once there the crowd is sparse. We usually rent beach chairs and umbrellas from the lifeguard, but if you are driving and have room for your own and a big tent, do it! Plenty of people around us do. The house itself is simple and what we need for a vacation to the beach. It is clean and the deck and the porch are marvelous to relax on when the kids are taking a nap. We watch movies at night with the family and always have rested well on the beds. The trail system is right out the front door on North Forest Beach if you are a runner, walker or biker. Coligny Circle is a quick drive or bike ride away if you need some groceries, beach items or novelties. Hilton Head is great location for a family vacation. It is not as commercial and hectic as Myrtle Beach and not as quiet and secluded as Kiawah Island, it is a nice balance of in-between. The zoning code regarding signage is strict and you don’t see the large annoying signs which I appreciate but prepare to make u-turns, I always miss a turn. We usually fly into Savannah from Kansas City (for now). If you do the same and are budget conscious, I recommend doing your initial grocery shopping at Wal-Mart by the Savannah airport. Everything there is cheaper and depending what time you arrive, the perishables will make it to the island without any worries. Three years ago we learned the hard way that the Wal-Mart on the island isn’t a Super Wal-Mart and the Target isn’t a Super Target and paid almost $60.00 more for groceries and supplies. Barnacle Bill’s on Hilton Pkwy is where we get our seafood and I take the kids in the mornings to Flamingo’s Doughnut Café for fresh, hot custom made doughnuts while mom and grandparents sleep. Bill and Noni are wonderful to work with and make renting their home so easy and stress free. Thank you so much for opening your home up to our family year after year.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
