Her plantation style, modern and comfortable home features a wrap-around lanai, offering you a full range of outdoor living and dining opportunity, amidst the peaceful sights and sounds of nature.

The park encompasses 333,000 acres and ranges from sea level to the summit of the earth's most massive volcano, Mauna Loa at 13,677 feet. Kilauea, is the world's most active volcano.

Volcano Cottage is a new, 2 bedroom, 2 bath home with full kitchen, wireless internet coverage allows you to work in the garden or in front of the gas fireplace, tropical furnishings in a secluded, tropical setting. You will sleep blissfully on our luxurious pillow-top mattresses.

Peaceful Nature Sanctuary

Guest: Kimberly Cox Carneal (Kailua-Kona)
Date of Stay: 12/20/09 Review Submitted: 04/22/11

I stayed at the volcano cottage for three weeks in December. It was the most peaceful, secluded sanctuary! I felt as if I had gone back in time…. Even though there were neighboring homes in (distant) sight, I never heard a sound except for the birds. The seclusion is only an impression, however; I could walk to the Volcano Winery, and shops and restaurants (oh, the restaurants!) were within a five-minute drive. It's a quick jaunt to the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, and a drive to Hilo for the day is a good idea, too. But I found that I wanted to stay put, light the fireplace or sit on the wraparound porch, drink hot chocolate, and watch nature through the mist after fixing dinner in the huge, well-equipped kitchen. I was alone, but this cottage has plenty of room for families or two couples. It would be a great place for a retreat.

Wonderful volcano vacation rental, accomodating owner

Guest: Big Island Visitor (Waikoloa, HI USA)
Date of Stay: 03/17/11 Review Submitted: 03/25/11

There are so many properties to choose from yet the owner LInda was so accomodating and gave us a deal we couldn't refuse. The property is very nice, I loved the gas stove! The backyard is beautiful going into a forest and the bedrooms were very tastefully decorated. The beds were very comfortable. I would highly recommend this property and am hopeful that we will stay again when visiting the Hawaii National Volcanoes park.
