  What a great vacation rental! It was a beautiful home with great views and loved the location with lots of privacy. We would recommend this property to anyone who wants to stay in a comfortable home with a lot of charm and beautiful art work. This house is close to beaches, great hiking and our favorite place was the Elk River just a few miles away. Thank you Julie and Chris!

  Your home is magnificent. The location is beautiful. The view to the beach could not be improved. The town of Port Orford impressed us in many ways. The beach, the people, the resident whales. There are many things to do in addition to the beach. We rode our bikes, walked the grounds around the lifeguard museum, and visited the nearby Blanco Lighthouse and Hough House grounds. This included a stop to get fresh honey at Lee's Bees. Many thanks for sharing your wonderful home.

  What a wonderful way to relax and unwind from the stressors of everyday life. The Battle Rock House has absolutely everything we could have asked for. From the time we entered the driveway, we knew we were in for something special. The home, which sits in the woods above the port, is absolutely beautifully furnished and overlooks the port and the ocean beyond. A glass of wine and dinner on the deck, and we were set. Our hosts, Chris and Julie, were very accessible,and even had fresh flowers to greet us upon our arrival. Even though we felt like we were out in the country, we were only about one minute from town with its quaint shops, great little restaurants (we liked Griff's at the dock the best) and of course the beach. We look forward to many more visits to Port Orford and the Battle Rock house. Please! Don;t change a thing!

  We thoroughly enjoyed our three days at your Redwood Palace, Chris. The house is just gorgeous and the setting is equally gorgeous. Secluded yet right off the road, surrounded by trees with a view of the port. The house is built of redwood and is huge with literally an art gallery for your viewing pleasure. Everything is first class, first cabin and the seclusion and ocean/port view just tops off the experience. We will return as often as possible and thank you kindly for the hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed our three day retreat in your art gallery/house.
