My husband and I enjoyed our stay on the 14th floor of The Blue Heron. The sunrise was breathtaking and the unit clean and comfortable. We spent many hours enjoying the pool and walking the boardwalk around the lake. The owner was very helpful and friendly, answering all of the questions we had about the area. .There were places to eat and shop within walking distance so when traffic is bad you can leave the car and reach many places on foot. This was appreciated because the traffic was very heavy at times. You won't be disappointed if you chose the Blue Heron for your Disney vacation.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.
Owner response: Thanks! The sunrise and the moon rising over the lake are very enjoyable and I'm glad you made use of the pool. Being so close to Disneyworld is great and around dinner time at the busiest times of spring break it can be really busy on all roads leading in. I'm glad you made use of the 8-10 restaurants within easy walking distance of the resort. And as far as questions go, I really like them because sometimes I don't know the answer and that's when I learn something too. Take care, David

Positives: Unit was as advertised, location is very convenient to Disney World. Two thumbs up!! Negatives: Internet service is poor, do not count on it. Did not use shuttle service, No Comment.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you for your review and thanks for the two thumbs up! I'm glad you had a great time and I'm sorry that the wi-fi was not working well at all while you were there. It had recently been installed just prior to the end of March, one of the busiest times of the year, and it became evident quickly that the broadband needed to be increased. That has been taken care of now. About the shuttle service: there are some glowing statements below from other guests' comments that did take the free shuttle service so no worries about not being able to comment on it. All the best. David

We recently just stayed at this condo at the Blue Heron resort and i have to say I was thoroughly impressed. The condo was very spacious and comfortable. The pool was nice and warm since when we were there the weather wasn't very warm. It was very nice to come back to the condo after spending all day at Disney and feel so at home. I would definately recommend this condo for anyone who is going to Disney, it is really close to the main entrance and there is everything you need all around you. I will definately stay there again next time I'm in Orlando.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you and it was a pleasure serving you and your family. I'm glad you had a relaxing time. That is one of the reasons why we bought at Blue Heron Resort, it's relaxing and yet near a lot of things. Best wishes, David

My family of 6 stayed in this condo for one week and we were all very happy with the condo, location, and the view from the balcony! The condo is very clean and modern, and we felt there was lots of room for everyone! The pool was fantastic and never crowded....the kids loved it! The view of the lake and the boardwalk are also very beautiful. We would stay here again, and would recommend it to our friends and family!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.
Owner response: Thanks! I was glad to be of help and I'm glad your family had such a nice time. Also, I'm glad for your questions (all good!). I like questions because sometimes I don't know the answer and that gives me a chance to learn find out and learn something new. It is a surprisingly spacious condo that affords a lot of opportunity to unwind. Take care.

Our family recently stayed at this beautiful condo for a fabulous week in Orlando. The condominium was even better than the pictures - we are a family of four and had loads of room to spare and all the amenities of home - a luxury you just can't get from a hotel. The view of the lake from the balcony had the effect of instantly relaxing you and the pool was perfect for us - it was so refreshing that it was never packed with loads of "noisy tourists." The location was another big draw - we had a short drive to Universal and an easy and speedy shuttle to Discovery Cove. Being so close to the Premium Outlets was an added bonus - if we didn't need to carry all of our shopping bags, we could have walked! Finally, being able to watch the Disney fireworks from the balcony by the elevator was brilliant - a great view without the crowds. Thanks to the owners for being so helpful in the booking and thanks to the staff at the Blue Heron for taking care of all of our needs. Wish we could have stayed longer - can't wait to return!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

My wife and I stayed at the Blue Heron Resort last March (2012); we absolutely loved our stay. Our one-bedroom condo overlooked a lake (just as the pictures indicate). We ate our meals on the balcony every day; we had 21 days of sunshine. Not only did we walk to Downtown Disney, but we also walked to Orlando's Outlet stores. I am a triathlete and my wife a duathlete. I completed my swimming workouts at the Blue Heron Resort pool (one lane is reserved for lane swimming). We found a great place to cycle and run a mere 20 minutes from Orlando (Winter Gardens), and we enjoyed running in the same area where we stayed. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. This is an ideal location to visit Universal, Disney, and NASA. We used the resort's (free) shuttles and we were very impressed; we drove to NASA and we walked to Disney. We are booked again for next year.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We found the place no problem, the staff was fantastic-helpful and professional, and the condo was beautiful! Clean and relaxing and what a great view! We arrived the first night at 10pm, quite tired, and just wanted to settle in to our place. Check in was quick and easy. We used the laundry at the condo, which was great! It sure saves on the number of clothes you have to bring on your trip. The kitchen was nicely stocked for making meals so we saved money not going to Disney restaurants. Inside the park costs can realllllllly add up. We did not have a chance to use the golf course nor the pools/hot tub or lake :( We just couldn't cram it all in, and by the time we got back at night from the parks, we were totally tired! The location really made it easy on us getting to the places we wanted to go. Local restaurants are close for the few nights we ate out-nice variety. The shuttle service is really underrated – that was something we appreciated – taking a small hassle of driving out of the day and getting us home fast. We also really appreciated the amount of info, recommendations, and prompt answers we received. David really helped to make planning smooth and worry free. The only problem was that we couldn’t stay longer! We will highly recommend David to our family and friends. Great price for location and the space! Till the next time!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Glad you had a good time and glad you made use of the kitchen and washer/dryer! That's what they're there for. The hot tub probably could have helped the sore feet from all those days at the parks but there's always next time. There really is quite a selection of restaurants within walking distance so I'm glad you still had some legs left to do that! Best regards.

We stayed at the Blue Heron with great help from Davd. We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days while we visited Disney from our regular scheduled 2 week vacation in Panama City Beach, Florida. The condo was awesome. Spacious, clean and it was on the 14th floor so we could watch the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom from the obversation deck. The staff was friendly the area has all the amenities needed for restaurants and food were close by. The shuttle to Disney was awesome and reliable. The only feedback is the pull out sofa bed mattress was very uncomfortable....you felt the springs! Other than that all was top notch. Thanks David for linking me to the Blue Heron after inquiring about your condo. Eventhough yours was not available you were able to find another unit for us and for a great price. From this Canadian Family to Yours...much appreciation! We have already recommended the Blue Heron to fellow CanadiansRecommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.
Owner response: I'm glad you had a great time! Just so you know each floor has observation decks to watch the fireworks. It's great you found the condo and all to your satisfaction. We do get a lot of really good feedback about the staff and how helpful they are. I'm glad you made good use of the amenities and that you had a great time.

We spent two weeks enjoying ourselves at the Blue Heron Resort. Our family of 2 adults and 2 kids were pleasantly surprised with how big the suite was. We were able to spread out and not be under each other's feet all the time. Having 2 full bathrooms was great, and the washer and dryer in the suite were very handy. The room, pools and hot tub were clean, the beds were comfortable and the shuttle service to the Parks was excellent. We took a cab to the nearby Walmart and stocked up on groceries for our stay which helped us eat propely and cut costs. The kitchen even had a dishwasher - hooray! It is a holiday after all! David was very helpful in answering all of our questions before we left, and I would certainly recommend renting a condo at the Blue Heron Resort, we will definitely rent here again in the future!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Just got back from our winter getaway to Disney. This was a very nice place to stay. Everything was clean and could not have asked for a place more centrally located to all of the parks, stores, restaurants, etc. Parking was very spacious and if the garage was full, the parking lots were just as well to park in and very close. Friendly staff. Kids loved the pool and hot tub. My husband and I loved the workout rooms. When one was being used one morning, we just scooted over to the other one and had great workouts to begin our day. We loved being within walking distance to the mini golf and Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks. I will most certainly be back to rent at this location in the future.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

About the owner: Our family has always loved Disney and travelling in general. We take the kids with us on our trips and try to mix up the 'adult' stuff with the 'kid' stuff so no one gets too bored. It's amazing how when we go to Disney and its surrounding parks no one is feeling hard done by.
Why the Owner Chose Lake Buena Vista:
It's a great location - 0.9 miles from Disneyworld. Amenities a block away.
It's right between all the major entertainment areas with a beautiful view of the lake and nightly fireworks. We wanted a place we could go to and have fun at as well as invite friends and family to stay. Also, we wanted a place that had a free shuttle so if someone didn't bring a car that wouldn't be a problem.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Free scheduled shuttle service to the various parks.
Free sunrise view of lake most every morning.
Free balcony view of the Disneyworld fireworks every night.
Best accessibility to all the parks with a lake front!
