Through Internet we have found Melissa's and Steve's place in Safety Harbor. A contact between us was quickly made and we found ourselves in their place from nov. 28 - dec. 18, 2012. We have never stayed in a more charming and a more complete place!! We have not only rented a house, but also a peaceful neighborhood, friendly people around us, use of Spa, Library and easy access to roads leading to all over Florida. Definitely a place to come back to!!!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

The Blue Heron is even nicer than advertised. We thoroughly enjoyed our month (February, '12) and hate the fact that today is our last here. We made good use of the spa passes, and took many invigorating walks in the surrounding area, as well as short drives to nearby towns (Dunedin, Clearwater, Tampa, etc.). The kitchen is fully equipped, the rooms are comfortable and cozy, and the neighborhood is quier. You can even get excellent pizza: it was almost like being in Boston's North End but a lot warmer.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children.

I don't actually want to write this review. Because I want to keep this darling bungalow a secret!!! Since the owners are so thoughtful and generous I can't not write this review. The home is clean, beautifully decorated, comfortable and every amenity one could need on a vacation is provided. We loved the neighborhood--it's old Florida with beautiful flora views from every window. We used the library cards for books and to rent movies--big bonus. There are charming small businesses to explore in Safety Harbor. We enjoyed daily walks. Thank you Melissa and Steve for sharing your magical home with us and thinking of EVERYTHING!!! Can't wait to come back.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

We GREATLY enjoyed our time in this darling bungalow in Safety Harbor. It is cozy and comfortable yet quite stylish. The spa passes were FABULOUS. Each day I walked or rented a bike. we had a picnic at the harbor, strolled through the scenic downtown and read several novels. Delicious. We loved Safety Harbor SO much we are considering our own real estate purchase in this slice of heaven. What a great secret..shh..dont tell! Dennis and I rented this property in Safety Harbor January/February of 2009. It was a perfect escape from winter up north. Safety Harbor has a quiet, small town atmosphere and provides local activities including street fairs, farmers' markets, art, music, and wonderful little restuarants where we were made to feel like a part of the community. The house is beautiful, comfortable and filled with everything necessary plus many extras. We used the Spa passes every day for workouts and aerobic classes. The community of Safety Harbor is great for bike riding, running, and relaxing; however, it is a short 15 minute trip to Honeymoon Island and a beautiful beach. Also about 15 minutes away is the Pinellas Bike Trail which runs through other quaint artsy communities. Don and I stayed in the bungalow in Safety Harbor in Dec. 06 and January 07. It was one of the most delightful vacations that we have experienced in the Gulf Coast area. The house is cosy and very well appointed. The neighbourhood is quiet, safe and friendly. The Guest passes to the Spa were a wonderful added feature. We used the Spa facility every day. The biking and the walking are attractive features in the area. Tennis courts are close by too. Safety Harbor is "Florida's well-kept secret"! Jan-Apr .. $3000/month, May-Oct .. $2400/month, Nov-Dec .. $2600/month Our home may be rented by the month or for the season. Minimum 14 night stay. $500.00 Refundable security deposit due at time of booking. $250.00 each, Refundable pet security due at time of booking. 50% of rental is due 60 days prior to arrival. Full payment is due 30 days prior to arrival. Cancellation policy: We will refund 50% of security deposit but the rental charges are nonrefunable unless we are able to rebook dates reserved.
