Recently renovated, 1,100 square foot condominium on top of Sugar Mountain. The 5,200 foot elevation allows you unobstructed views of Grandfather Mountain and the surrounding mountain ranges Adjacent to the Sugar Mountain ski slopes. Great for winter skiing, watching the leaves change in the Fall, Spring antique shopping or just getting away from the Summer heat.
Great view of Grandfather Mountain from every room in the unit, as well as the balcony. Completely renovated in the Fall of 2004. New paint, flooring, drapes, furniture and kitchen equipment. Unit was retrofitted with with full size washer and dryer. Unit has Wi-Fi connection.
Appalachian State University in Boone and Lees McRae College in Banner Elk offer cultural and sporting events. The quaint town of Banner Elk is less than two miles away, the Linville Caverns and Falls are nearby, the Town of Blowing Rock, famous for its antiques and Tweetsie Railroad is less than a 30 minute drive. The Blue Ridge Parkway, famous for its scenic views is nearby. The adjacent Sugar Mountain ski resort provides Summer lift rides. Grandfather Mountain, with its mile high swinging bridge and its Biosphere is less than three miles away.
