Why you will love Grand Pointe!
Located on one of the most beautiful areas of Orange Beach! Grand Pointe was built on the very last lot before Perdido Pass. The development borders Perdido Pass to the east and the Gulf of Mexico to the south. This gives owners and guests access to so much more than your typical gulf front condo development! Every morning you will watch fishing boats make their way into the gulf as the sun rises over the crystal clear, turquoise waters of Perdido Pass and Alabama Point – it is BEAUTIFUL!! The boardwalk to the beach is accessed in the pool area of Grand Pointe…it is full of sand dunes, crabs, sea shells and other beach treasures! The boardwalk leads you to the shimmering white shores of the Gulf of Mexico!! There you will find umbrellas and beach chair rentals and plenty of beach and surf fun!! Grand Pointe is located just east of Perdido Beach Resort…take a troll over to the resort to enjoy a refreshing drink at the pool side bar or dinner at wonderful Voyagers…the best part is afterwards, you get to escape back to the tranquil setting of Grand Pointe. Just north of the development, directly across Perdido Beach Blvd, you will find San Roc Cay Marina and Shops…a wonderful, waterfront commercial development with 4 restaurants, endless (great) shopping, boat rentals, and fishing charters!
Other reasons you will love vacationing at Grand Pointe:
* Huge gulf and Perdido Pass side pool with a large sundeck and an outdoor hot tub!
* Indoor pool with all glass on the east side overlooking Perdido Pass – yes, a sunny indoor pool!!
* Indoor hot tub, sauna/steam rooms, fitness center, and bathrooms off these areas.
* Private and gated gulf side development;
* Two elevators:
* Low density development, less crowded than so many!!!
* Walk about 50 feet from the development to the jetty and enjoy some of the best fishing in the area.
* Short drive to area golf course, family fun (amusement parks, zoo, water park, mini golf), night life, wonderful gulf coast restaurants (walk to several), and shopping!!
All rooms are furnished with beautiful top of the line furniture. This condo sleeps nine/ten people (one king, one queen, one full, one queen sized air mattress for two more, and sofa can sleep one).
The fully equipped kitchen and wet bar with ice-maker have all the comforts of home. The condo is equipped with TV’s and DVD players.
It’s all here! White Sugar Sand Beach, Surfing, Fishing, Golf courses, Restaurants, Great Shopping, and plenty of places to entertain children.

Unit was very nice! Pros: Great location. Loved not having to check-in/out at a desk (we were given a lockbox code with unit's key inside). Really appreciated that owner didn't mind our need for Monday-to-Monday rather than the usual Sat-to-Sat. We enjoyed dinner "at home", dining on the balcony and watching the dolphins swim in the pass. Loved that each bedroom had its own en suite bathroom! Wet bar with ice machine is a must have at the beach. Nice variety of good restaurants in walking distance! Cons: The stovetop didn't work properly, so it was difficult at best to boil water. The refrigerator's ice-maker didn't work at all (would have preferred to use that ice for the coolers). Not enough cabinets---nowhere to put your dry grocery items like cereal, chips, crackers, pancake mix, syrup, etc. Other (not directly related to the unit): Brand new cooler (Father's Day present) was stolen from outside our door the first day we were there (unit is at the end of the corridor, not like you passed by to/from the elevator). 2 pairs of Teva sandals (not new) stolen from the beach end of the boardwalk where everyone kicks off their sandals. Children playing with the elevator buttons on the 5th floor shorted out the circuit board, so the 2 lifts that serviced the entire property were down for about 4 hours (huge problem if you're trying to "check in" or you have a disability---you're trapped; hope they figured out who the culprits were and made the parents pay the elevator bill). We've stayed at many different properties at Gulf Shores/Orange Beach, and NEVER had anything stolen. Elevators are known to break down, but this is the first property we stayed at that only had one set to service the entire property. Bottom line: Nice place to stay, but.....Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

First of all, the owners of this condo are so easy to work with. My best girlfriend and I went for a 5-day girls get-away. The decor of the unit was tasteful (not that "beachy ghastly color" theme). The location of the unit is at the end away from the pool area so it is quiet. The view of the pass is amazing. You can see all the boats go out and come in. The balcony is quite large with lots of seating and we enjoyed sunning on the balcony in the mornings (faces direct east) and having our "adult beverages" there in the evenings. Each Bedroom has its own full bathroom which was quite convenient and the wet bar with its own ice machinemaker was a plus. The kitchen was up to date with appliances and amenities. The condo building itself is gated parking and located on Gulf Road right off Perdidio Beach Blvd. Directly across the entrance is San Roc Cay with shopping, two restaurants, and other stores. Actually, the condo is convenient to everything (grocery, entertainment, gift shops, more). We noticed many people fishing from the bulkhead/rocks and down by the bridge parking area. The pool was large and nice. The boardwalk to the beach was convenient. Water was clean and beaches were sugar white. .We would definitely recommend this unit and have already asked to rent it again.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We had a great time in Orange Beach. This Condo has a magnificent view of the gulf, Perdido Pass and the Bay. From the balcony, we watched awesome sunrises, boats going through the Pass and occasionally a dolphin. The condo is decorated very nicely and was clean and comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with everything we needed. We would definitely recommend this condo and hope we are lucky enough to rent it again! Thanks Carolyn and Mark.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

I just wanted you to know that our stay at Orange Beach was fabulous. Your condo is absolutely amazing! We loved the view of the pass and the beach. We will definitely be staying again. I love the fact that it is more secluded than other condos around. My kids had a blast. From the balcony we were able to see manta rays and other large fish swimming close to shore in the pass. It was beautiful. Thanks again for our wonderful stay!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

My family stayed in this unit in August of 2007 and had a wonderful time. The condo was very clean and I am very particular about condo units. The view of the pass and the beach was amazing. We loved to sit outside. The dolpins would come by every morning at sunrise. The unit was large and the owners have lots of reading books and games for the family. The complex was perfect with nice size indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs, the beaches were nice and wide. We will definitely be back next year. I love this place!Did you find this review helpful?
