We have ON-ISLAND management to take care of you throughout the duration of your vacation in the event you need anything related to our condo.
Our beautiful condo is at Papakea Ocean Front Resort, which has the smallest number of units on some of the largest acreage of any resort in Kaanapali. The grounds consist of almost 14 acres of open grass area, tropical gardens, bamboo & palm trees, koi ponds with water fountains and walkways lighted with tiki torches. We have 2 large pools(1 heated), 2 large jacuzzis, 2 putting greens, 2 shuffleboards and 3 lighted tennis courts on the resort, as well as other amenities.
The Papakea is adjacent to Kaanapali Beach and a short ride to the harbor town of Lahaina. There are wonderful art galleries, restaurants, shops and grocery store within walking distance and in nearby Lahaina. We have a local farmers market a few days a week in the neighboring road behind the resort for some wonderful local fruits and other great foods.
Our spacious condo has oceanfront views from the kitchen, living area and large lanai, as you can see from the pictures.
There are no check in or resort fees and parking is free. If you mention that you saw us on VRBO we will discount the checkout cleaning fee to just $95.00 for a 7 nights or more stay!

We absolutely love the Papakea! The grounds are well kept and there is plenty of space to spread out. There were always plenty of lawn chairs available to place whereever we wanted. There are many BBQ grills by the pool to grill your food and we saw the staff cleaning and attending to them. We just returned from our week long stay in Maui. This unit was roomy and spacious for our family of 4. I love the location in that is so close to great beaches, grocery stores, and takeout food. The unit is definately ocean front and we loved sitting outside on the lanai watching the waves come in. The beds and pillows were not comfortable however. Perhaps at least updating the pillows would be a welcome asset as every one of our family complained about the beds and pillows. Kitchen has plenty of dishes but the pots and pans seemed a little worn.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Our family has surely enjoyed staying here. The views are beautiful and we even get to see the whales in the distance. The grand children loved the pool and the beach and made friends to play with each day. This is our 9th year at Papakea it is such a beautiful and well kept resort.
