Our spacious condo is at Papakea Ocean Front Resort, the Papakea has the largest acreage with fewest number of units of any resort in Kaanapali. The grounds consist of almost 14 acres of open grass area, beautiful koi/lagoon ponds, tropical gardens, palm trees, bamboo trees, lighted walkways and tiki torches. We have 2 large pools(1 is heated), 2 large 30 person hot tub/jacuzzis, 2 - 12 hole putting greens, 2 shuffleboards and 3 lighted tennis courts on the resort.
Papakea Resort is adjacent to Kaanapali Beach and a short ride to the great harbor town of Lahaina, which has many art galleries and live music. There are wonderful restaurants, eateries, shops, fish and farmers market within walking distance.
There are No Check-in or Resort Fees through us and parking is FREE. If you mention that you saw us on VRBO we will discount the checkout cleaning fee to just $95.00 for stays that are 7 nights or more!

This is our 3rd time staying at the Papakea but the 1st time using VRBO to rent our unit. Bernie was really helpful and very attentive to my inquiries. He listened to what I was looking for and found the perfect accomodations for us. Our transaction went very smoothly as he was always an email or phone call away. This listing is exactly as described and I was pleasantly surprised to see the details of the upgrades in person. Both bathrooms have beautiful granite countertops and showers. The unit is very spacious with tile flooring throughout the entire unit. The groundlevel location was perfect and right across from the pool, which made it very easy for our kids to go in and out as they pleased, to go swimming, play golf or search for frogs at night near the koi pond. This unit is my favorite out of all the ones we've stayed at and also compared to the other units that my family members stayed at during this trip. The only thing is there were no beach chairs, mats, coolers, beach toys or other things that would've been nice for our stay. Our other family members' units were stocked with all of this. There wasn't even a wine bottle opener (but it's ok, we just borrowed one from a neighbor). While the beach stuff or books and games would've been nice, they really weren't a necessity so I do still give our stay 5 stars. The one thing that absolutely stands out to me about the Papakea is the staff. The front desk staff and the people working on the grounds are so incredibly nice and you really feel the true meaning of aloha from them. We had a wonderful time at the Papakea and can't wait to go back for our 4th trip....and of course, we'll be sure to use VRBO and Bernie again!

We recently returned from our stay at this condo....the condo was very disappointing. It is in a desperate need of updating and cleaning. Also is missing the .5 bathroom that the description claims it has. The location is good but beware of the condition of unit and furnishings.
