Our beautiful condo is at the Papakea Oceanfront Resort, which has the smallest number of units on some of the largest acreage of any resort in Kaanapali. The grounds consist of almost 14 acres of open grass area, tropical gardens, bamboo & palm trees, koi ponds with water fountains and walkways lighted with tiki torches. We have 2 large pools(1 heated), 2 large jacuzzis, 2 putting greens, 2 shuffleboards and 3 lighted tennis courts on the resort, as well as other amenities.
The Papakea is adjacent to Kaanapali Beach and a short ride to the harbor town of Lahaina. There are wonderful art galleries, restaurants and shops within walking distance and in nearby Lahaina. We have a local farmers market a few days a week in the neighboring road behind the resort for some wonderful local fruits and other great foods.
Our spacious oceanfront condo has amazing views from the kitchen, living area and the large lanai, as you can see from the pictures.
There are no check-in or resort fees with us and parking is free. If you mention that you saw us on VRBO we will discount the cleaning fee to just $70 for stays of 7 nights or more!

We just returned from a 5 day Thanksgiving vacation at Maui and rented this condo. From the moment we walked in through the door, we fell in love with the place. You can hear the waves crashing below the lanai all day and night. On moonlit nights, the scene is especially enchanting. We didnt see any direct sunrises or sunsets from the condo, but could see them if we walked down to the ocea, and looked to the east or west. We booked through Maui Dreams Come True and Misty really went out of her way to make things easy and pleasant for us. The condo was clean and in good condition. All appliances were working. We didnt need the AC at all, as the ocean breeze did the job. There were all kinds of imaginable utensils in the kitchen. The bathroom was clean, there were plenty of towels, beach towels, linens and even a beach chair. The sofa turns into an extra bed in the living room which was convenient as we were travelling with a toddler. The resort itself was lovely with two pools, jacuzzis, a mini golf, a green oceanfront walkway and cute fish ponds which delighted our daughter. The pools are lighted with tiki torches at night and we grilled dinner every night by the pool. The resort is very quiet and close to grocery stores, farmer's market, a fresh seafood market and fast food. It is also close to Kanaapali beach and Kapalua bay.There is no beach in front of the resort, but there are plenty close by. Thank you Misty, and thank you Jim and Martha Troughton for making our stay memorable!
