Our inviting condominium features SPECTACULAR VISTAS from the divine open air living room, kitchen, dining room and the master bedroom. From every room in the 1300 square foot sixth-floor condo, you have an EYE-POPPING VIEW of the ocean or the verdant jungle.
Do you enjoy the finer things in life and have an artistic eye? We have carefully selected our HANDMADE FURNISHINGS and a colorful FOLK ART collection. You will feel right at home from the moment you walk through the front door!
The AL FRESCO living area is a great place to kick back with a cool drink and enjoy the amazing sunsets over Bahia Zihuatanejo. Relax to your favorite CD because the STEREO SOUND SYSTEM is wired throughout the house.
Each bedroom has king-sized beds (GREAT mattresses!), 400+ Italian percale linens and air conditioning. The bedrooms feature plasma TV's with satellite TV, DVD, WIFI access and writing desks. And the master bedroom has it's own TERRACE where you can watch the waves roll in.
You will love our a fully-equipped gourmet kitchen. We have just about every kitchen gadget you need, including WUSTHOF knives: coffee maker & grinder, orange juicer, blender, toaster, microwave, oven, stove-top, CUISNART cooking pans, handmade TALAVERA pottery and Mexican glassware. We have a whole house water purification system AND bottled purified water. The large wormwood dining table seats six.
We feature ceiling fans, a washer/dryer and elevator access. Our wonderful maid, Yolanda provides COMPLIMENTARY maid service three times per week.
Amble five minutes down to LA ROPA Beach, or stay home and enjoy our two INFINTY EDGED POOLS overlooking the bay. El Centro is a short 15 minute walk or a 5 minute taxi or bus ride. Stroll arm in arm down lovely tree-lined cobble stoned streets or along the fisherman's walk.
This is our DREAM of a place by the sea and NOT a commercial rental property. We love our place and are happy to share it with other wonderful folks. Harriet has put together an up-to-date 65-page GUIDE to the area to get you acquainted even before you arrive!

- Air Conditioning: BOTH bedrooms can be closed off with the COMPLIMENTARY AC going, but in the BAHIA BEDROOM, we usually sleep with the TERRACE doors wide open to the sea and dream to the sound of the waves. We lift our heads off the pillow in the morning and see the boats dancing in the bay: THIS IS THE LIFE!
- Washer: We have a LAUNDRY ROOM in our condo with a MAYTAG washer and dryer.
- Dryer: Yes, you can dry those wet swimsuits!
- Linens Provided: I bring wonderful 400+ THREAD COUNT SHEETS. Our mattress pads are cozy and the mattress itself is just right: not too hard, not too soft. WE SLEEP GREAT AND EVERYONE LOVES OUR BEDS!
- Covered Parking: We are #28 in the tile-roofed parking ramada.
- Off Street Parking: We have a large parking lot.
- Elevator: Since we are a 'LOWER PENTHOUSE' and are six floors up, we have an elevator.
- Beds
- King Bed (2) : Both beds are SEALY POSTUREPEDIC king-sized beds of the best quality. I regularly bring HIGH QUALITY pads and linens from the U.S. to keep the beds fresh. The pillows are cozy DOWN AND FEATHER pillows, but we can supply hypo-allergenic foam pillows to those with allergies.
- Convertible Bed: I have an extra inflatable single bed with linens in case you need one.

- Cable/Satellite TV (2) : Both bedrooms have COMPLIMENTARY SATELLITE TV and DVD players: the kids can watch 'UP' while you watch 'THE SHAWSHANK REDMPTION.'

I have the kitchen stocked with all the spices and herbs (soy sauce, salt and pepper mills, herbs, mustards, vinegars, oil, sugar, etc) and Williams-Sonoma KITCHEN GADGETS you need to make your favorite meals. The pots and pans are CUISINART,the knives are WUSTHOF, the pottery is colorful Mexican TALAVERA, the glassware is hand-made. We have large supply to PLASTIC CONTAINERS that you can take to the Mercado Central in your shopping bag and bring back filled with chile rellenos and chicken mole!

- Beach View: You can see the breakers on LA ROPA BEACH. You look right at the mouth of the bay for amazing sunset shows.
- Ocean View: We are located above ZIHUATANEJO BAY, on a hill and then six floors up: the VIEWS are jaw dropping. The first things anyone says upon entering Sueño del Mar is, "WOW! LOOK AT THE VIEW!" It is great to watch their faces.
- Mountain View: LA SELVA BEDROOM (Jungle) faces the dedicated open space on the hills behind us. It is very quiet except for the sound of birds.

Ron and Harriet have a strong belief in education and environmental action as ways to help heal the world.
With that in mind, for every guest that stays with us, we donate to The Netza Project, a school that educates indigenous, non-Spanish speaking children, as well as giving small business loans and teaching Spanish to the parents.
We also give to S.O.S. Bahia for the rescue and preservation of Zihuatanejo Bay, to raise awareness of the bay as a natural and tourist resource that we should preserve and enjoy in a sustainable manner.

Owner's Map of Zihuatanejo
Harriet Garfinkle is a former dancer, a painter and the owner and director of Woodside Pilates.
Ron is Neuro-psychiatrist specializing in treatment of severe brain disorder and schizophrenia who has hidden talents as an artist.
Harriet and Ron went to Zihuatanejo on their first date in 1978. Back then it was a sleepy fishing village, where you could lie on the beach all day under a palapa. You could take an occasional plunge in the gentle surf, sip a piña colada, dine on the freshest fish, and take a nighttime stroll under more stars than you could ever dream up.
That was almost thirty years ago, and hardly anything has changed. It is waking up a little and has more comforts and conveniences, but the construction of Ixtapa twenty minutes away corralled all the high-rise hotels, trendy discos and deconstruction of natural splendor.
Zihuatanejo has kept all of its old world charm and remains one of the most beautiful beaches and bays in the world. They have traveled a lot since then, but Zihuatanejo is the place they always go back to, and finally in 2006 they bought property there.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. The minute we opened the front door it felt as though we were home. We enjoyed the open air living and dining area. Your boogie boards were used daily and the waves were perfect for riding on. We had some great times and look forward to coming back again some day. This is the nicest architectural detail and interior design of anywhere we have stayed in Mexico. I felt like I was on a “best of Mexico” artesania /art tour as well. We would go back in a second!
