Property description

A charming Victorian Portland stone cottage located in the conservation area of Easton Village, Portland, within a very short walking distance to the local shops, cafés and pubs. The property been thoroughly renovated but still has many character features including a solid wood burner, stripped wooden floors and exposed stone walls. It includes a luxury bathroom with roll top bath and large ‘walk in’ shower. In addition both double bedrooms have en-suites.


The Isle of Portland is south of Weymouth and is the most southerly point in Dorset. Famous for its stone and Chesil Beach, today the island is also renowned for its wildlife and water sports. Portland Harbour is the location for the National Sailing Academy and hosted the 2012 Olympic Games Sailing events. It is one of the Gateway Towns on the Jurassic Coast World Heritage site.

Easton Village, situated at the top of the island, is the main hub of the Island’s activities. There is a village square with a children’s play area, a variety of shops, cafés, pubs and art galleries. Seafood is a speciality in many of the restaurants and cafés on the isle. Traditional home cooked pub food can be found a short walk from the house and elsewhere on the island.
