The condo in Grand Summit hotel was exactly as described in the listing - spacious and with a beautiful view. We really enjoyed the true ski-in / ski-out location. Just walk down one flight of stairs and you were right in front of the Orange Bubble Express lift and steps from the ski school and Red Pine Gondola. Communications with the condo owner were excellent. The condo was clean and in great condition. I highly recommend this condo to any family considering a stay in this area. Our timing was perfect as the mountain received over 20 inches of snow the two days before we arrived and another 18 inches during our stay, so we had powder conditions every day. This was our first time skiing in Utah. The snow was excellent and the mountain was very inviting. Despite the powder conditions, the weekend was not too crowded and the lifts seldom had a line once the morning rush cleared. The Canyons is not particularly geared for beginner skiers. The is one section that is idea for beginners to comfortably learn to ski, but the rest of the mountain caters to intermediate and advanced skiers. Try Flippin' Burgers for a traditional lunch time meal or Maxwell's for pasta and pizza by the slice. Both restaurants are only a couple miles away by car or free bus ride.

Perfect location and great amenities

We really enjoyed the amenities of the Grand Summit and it’s close proximity to the Orange Bubble lift. We counted 185 steps from the unit to the chairlift. It was a perfect destination for my girls’ first mountain skiing experience. The owner's customer service and timely communication made booking the property a breeze.

Recommended for:Families with teenagers, families with young children.

We have stayed at Grand Summit twice in the past. The property is great, location, service, staff... We arrived for a short vacation, intended to stay for four days. First night we could not sleep due to steady wibrating noise probably from air conditioning (?). Front desk confirmed history of such complains in the past. We decided to move next door to another hotel since Grand Summit was not responsible for this unit, therefore any exchange within the hotel would mean new arrangement and new bill anyway. We did not come to sit and watch the maintenance crew fixing the room. We already spend one day from our short stay dealing with this problem...and will spend few more days trying to get our refund. Beware, that "managed by owner" means severe limitations: If you rent a car and it does not start, you just get your money back and go to next counter rather than watching it towed to the shop. Same for condo rental: If the condition is not acceptable you should not spend hours on the phone with the owner! ... The noise was reportedly fixed next day = it was real. It may be back, but we won't.

I was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful this property was. Although only (1) bedroom - there is plenty of room for at least (6-8) to sleep. It was very clean and well kept. You can walk right thru the lobby and prime skiing awaits you. I have stayed at different properties throughout Park City and this is my favorite. I will not hesitate to return. The location is ideal - Main Street is just a short drive and there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby - unless you choose to stay in and dine within the Grand Summit with plenty of choices - even an organix restaurant. The property is well maintained and any issues or needs are a phone call away. I hated to come back.

Thank you, thank you so much for helping us with the Condo rental in January. We had an AMAZING time, and the condo/Grand Summit could not have been more perfect. Our toddler acclimated to the condo/resort perfectly fine (we found there was plenty to do with a toddler around the area), and we had such a lovely and memorable vacation!! Thank you for being so responsive with all of my questions on the front end, and for providing us with such a lovely place to stay!!

We had a fabulous time staying at the Summit. The place was as you described...beautiful, clean, spacious and perfect for us. When we arrived around 3:30, the small room was ready but the big condo needed inspection. That seemed to take a while and I had to check twice with the front desk to let us in. When we opened the adjoining door, we were delighted with the accommodations! Everything was spotless and there was nothing you hadn't provided for our stay. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful living arrangement and if our youngest is in PC next summer, we would definitely do a repeat trip and stay in your condos. I am glad that you convinced me to take both units...the girls were happy in their huge queen beds and I reveled in the huge MB with jacuzzi! We were crazy busy withe the NAC open house Saturday, an outdoor concert at the Summit Saturday night, the Silly Market Sunday, spa treatments downstairs and shopping on PC Monday. We sat by the pool between events...gorgeous! Thanks for your wonderful assistance, prompt responses to my emails and professional (yet personal) touch. You made our stay memorable, easy and so very comfortable. Ate at Yuki Arashi and Chimayo. Fabulous restaurants. Thanks again, Thea.

Owner response:Park City is truly a year-round destination as you discovered and enjoyed to the max! Summer can be as lively as winter at the Grand Summit with the AAA 4-diamond service preparing rooms for new guests as speedily as possible. Housekeeping makes all efforts to provide condo access as early as possible. Regular check in time is 4 pm. However, as an owner I can request an earlier check in for my guests and most often it can be accommodated. So I encourage guests to let me know their arrival plans. The 2 bedroom/3 bath condo for this stay is especially stunning with panoramic views in multiple directions from the over sized windows and balcony. As owner-renter, I'm delighted to guarantee the location and exact layout for you every time you stay with me. When you reserve with me I will also guarantee the exact floor plan, number and size of bathrooms...a considerable advantage when you need to know the number, size and location of beds. Great place to stay

My family stayed here and had a great time. The condo was tastefully decorated, convenient to some nice hiking, and convenient to most of Park City. The condo owner was very nice and helpful in highlighting nearby things to do and places to eat. The hotel management did charge us for some services and beverages that we did not use. Also, we had issues with the key cards not working everything that we were supposed to be able to access. I managed to work the key card issues out with a quick trip to the front desk. However, the condo owner contacted the hotel to ensure everything was straightened out. The hotel has a lot of things...nice pool, steam room, sauna, etc. All the things one might expect at a resort. The entire hotel staff were extremely courteous. One thing to keep in mind is that the cleaning staff does not speak English. When you asked for something they were not able to accommodate. We had asked for a clean dishtowel twice but for some reason we could not communicate that and received, "No hablo Ingles." Ehhh. We used paper towels. The condo itself had three nice televisions, was quiet, and had enough comfortable seating, with a couch, a smaller couch, and a pub chair along with some window benches that may be used as beds. We did not notice other neighbors at all. The master had a balcony that we used. The views of surrounding Park City were nice and we enjoyed moonrises on the balcony. The slight annoyance with the balcony was that sometimes the air handling unit outside was noisy but it is not heard inside the condo unit. It was only when using the balcony that this was noticed. If you are an early riser, the sunrises on the balcony are wonderful, too. Folks who like to sleep in longer may not appreciate the east view. The sun came into the master bedroom at around 5:30AM. The unit had 2 lock boxes in each of the bedrooms. If you go to Mirror Lake, in the summertime, make sure to bring mosquito repellent. Many go up to do a picnic. Most mountainous places are like that, though. If you do decide to go up to Mirror Lake, you will be rewarded with some spectacular scenery. You may even be able to see moose. When not picnicking, Park City itself has so many eateries. Main Street is crowded all the time but you have many other places to choose that are not nearly as crowded. We hated to leave.

Yes, as with all large resort hotels/conference centers it's a good practice to review the charges to the room before checking out to ensure that it's 100% accurate. The front desk is accommodating and helpful if a key card demagnetizes.....it has happened to my own key on occasion and I've also found that it's pretty quick to get a duplicate made at the 24-hour front desk. Correct....the hard working men and women who service the rooms and keep them in lovely condition speak Spanish as their first language. For that reason, every phone in the condos has a button to call directly to the front desk and to the Housekeeping Manager. Calling either of those will bring replacement or specialty items. Thanks for the reminder so I can be sure guests that all guests are aware of that process. There are additional items like cookie sheets ,blenders and extra wine glasses that are brought up to you with a call to housekeeping. Glad you noticed that it's quite private and that the building construction is excellent..... so you don't ever hear your neighbors. That truly helps with making it a private getaway. At certain times of the day, especially in summer, Main Street in historic old town Park City is busy. Now that Redstone and Newpark neighborhoods are fully established there are even more regions to explore and enjoy. Some delightful restaurants are tucked away in Prospector Square as well.....for your next trip!

Our family of 5 stayed at the Grand Summit from 12/29 - 1/3. This condo is great. So close to the gondola and easy access to everything. Couldn't have been better. Thea was the best and so easy to work with. Will definitely rent again!!

Great condo with a wonderful location! We were pleasantly surprised with the lovely accommodations and easy access to the gondola out the back door. Daily maid service with modern spacious accommodations made for a great vacation. We had 2 separate bedrooms with a large kitchen/living area and 3 full bathrooms. Owner was very easy to work with making the entire process very pleasant.

My family and I stayed in the 2 bedroom condo last December. We had 10 people in our group and had plenty of room. The room has a great veiw of the mountains. The Grand Summit is Awesome. It is a ski in/ski out property which is very nice. The restraunts are all excellent! We had a great time and will be renting again.

HELLO! Well Sundance went down as a huge success for my company. Your accommodations were incredible and better than we could have even dreamed of. Even though we were a little outside of town, the Grand Summit still had a tremendous infrastructure and we got everywhere we needed to be on time and within budget. Thank you, thank you, thank you. The Grand Summit was great. The whole trip was great. Not only was there new snow before we arrived, Monday and Monday night it snowed 18" - 24". The Canyons' lift operators said Tuesday was the best skiing of the year. The was an additional couple inches of snow each night. Saturday and Sunday were great spring skiing days -- sunny, mid 40's. We took off Monday. Tuesday was sunny most of the day and fantastic skiing, even the groomed runs had several inches. The bowls were by far the best. Wednesday and Thursday were also good -- plenty of snow and sun. We skied 3 days at the Canyons and two at Deer Valley. We had some great meals too. Lunch Thursday at the Lookout Cabin was very good. Also an Asian restaurant in town called Wahso was incredible. Thanks for the tip on the Family Search location in Park City. I did not have time to go to Salt Lake for the library, but the Park City site gave me tips on how to get the info from here in Maryland. We really liked the place too. The room was perfect. The Grand Summit has everything you need and great customer service. I'm now a big fan of the Grand Summit and The Canyon's. Thanks for everything.

We had a wonderful time and the Hotel was great. The studio was just right for the two of us. We enjoyed Docs and also had dinner at the Cabin restaurant. The hotel was hopping with lots of families, which made it fun even though we were without our little one. It also snowed constantly. About 26 inches during the time we were there. All in all, it was a great week. Thanks for making it possible

Rating: 5 out of 5 Great Place with all amenities. Beautiful setting. Awesome skiing (especially in Deer Valley..no snowboarders). Just loved it.
