A group of my friends and I stayed here for a ladies weekend and loved this place! I organized the trip and once we got there a couple of the girls asked me about reserving it for other occasions they had coming up! It is just gorgeous and the layout is just perfect for a larger group of people. The house is so clean and everything is so bright and open. It rained the entire time we were there so we were mostly confined to the house all weekend but we didn't mind. Although we did drive down to the beach at one point and it took no time at all (apparently you can walk but it was raining). The kitchen is VERY large and a great place to mingle over wine and appetizers and the downstairs with the spa, pool table and view is a great place to have some fun!

The pictures don't do this home justice -- It was absolutely gorgeous. The view is amazing, what a sunset.... Our group consisted of mainly younger couples (mid 20s) and we all had a great time at the house. Not sure what else to say.... quit looking around and just book this place!!

Thank you for the use of your beautiful home! We were nine of us and we could spread out in all your spaciousness without feeling on top of each other. We so enjoyed the common area. We had many singers in our group and had a fabulous concert one night. You have so many amenities, what a lot of thought you put into the comfort of your guests. Things our family appreciated about your special home: Jeff- I liked the blue & white towels by the hot tub Jana- Lots of windows and the light Huey - The view! Owl's Nest Resort was a perfect home for my family to stay here. The living room is a perfect place to gather and tell stories, and we brought two guitars and we all sang. The view of the ocean is amazing. My brother and his two daughters loved playing ping pong and pool downstairs where they stayed and loved that their room is next to the spa. We all especially enjoyed daily time in the spa...ahhhh... Stacy's home had so many windows to see the ocean and the trail down to the ocean was 1/2 mile and the trail is in such good condition. What impresses me about how the house is decorated. I could tell that Stacy took special care to put beautiful art on the walls, lovely comforters in each room, lovely other decorative items. Also Stacy sent us a great list of places to visit. This home was a special gather for my parents, brother, sister, spouses, and nieces. Wow... We love it!

First of all, working with HomeAway to book this perfect home was easy and painless. Communications from start to finish were as good as they could be....and so was this beautiful home. We booked this home for three couples on the weekend of the Bodega Bay Seafood, Art and Wine Festival...great friends, good times..... From the moment we opened the front door this home hits you with beauty, light (even in the fog) and open space. Even when looking out the windows to a blanket of coastal fog...it was beautiful and peaceful. The kitchen had all the dishes and pots and pans you could ever need. From coffee pot to expresso machine, to blender it was all there. The only thing we found it lacking was some cleaning supplies, i.e., windex. With the glass dinning tables and end tables it would have been nice to have some windex handy for cleaning. Also bring foil, plastic wrap and so on. We have rented homes before that have those items and assumed(which we should not have done) there would be some in the pantry... The master bedroom and bath are beautiful..with new carpet throughout (not pink like in photo)...my wife enjoyed the jetted tub and I found a wonderful hidden treasure in the master bath shower...it is also a "steam room". After my run in the morning, it was wonderful to sit and have a nice steam. The other two bedrooms upstairs share a bathroom (Jack and Jill) and were perfect as well. Downstairs you can play pool, sit in the hot tub, watch some T.V. or step outside to the firepit.....perfect again. This home is very well maintained and clean in every corner. Would we rent this home again.....YES....and hope to again in the near future!! There are very few things in this world that are perfect....and this home is one of them.

We stayed in Owl's nest last year for a week and my apologies for writing this review after an year, but in any case I had to write this review. My family was visiting from India and Belgium, we wanted a secluded place where we could spend quality time together and believe me there's no place like "Owl's nest".. We simply loved this house, from the moment you open your eyes in the morning every corner of the house will make you fall in love with this place. I loved lazing in the breakfast nook with my parents and siblings, we could just sit there for hours talking and admiring the ocean. The master bedroom is amazing, very well planned. Kitchen is so incredible that you will be forced to cook, bathrooms are exceptionally well maintained and clean ( which was very important for me). There's something about this house each time I look at my photo albums the time I've spent with my family here has been the best one. it just kind of brings you closer to your family. I really want to thank the owner for sharing this house, cannot wait to get back.... Would love if you guys set up a hammock in your backyard, will be amazing lying and reading there... If one is planning a trip to Bode bay you can blindly book this one, there's absolutely no doubt there isn't a better property than this one...Believe me I have very high expectations, thats's what my husband says!!! Our family has rented a number of vacation rentals over years, typically through a realty company so when my brother-in-law suggested we try a rental through VRBO, I was skeptical. Although I can’t speak for all VRBO’s, our experience with the Owl’s Nest was nothing but flawless. The pictures on the website really don’t do the place justice. The home is much more spacious and views are much more specular. We found the property and amenities clean and perfect in every way. The entire family agrees that we will highly recommend the Owl’s Nest property to all our friends.

Dear Stacey, We found Owl's Nest Retreat to be breathtakingly beautiful and very relaxing and enjoyable. We loved all the windows and angles and skylights and beam ceilings. We enjoyed the window seat, the glassed in balcony and barbecue - where we barbecued oysters from Hog Island. We enjoyed nearby beaches and Fort Ross and clam chowder at the Tides. I just wanted to tell you what a wonderful time we had at your beautiful beach retreat. It is such a special place. I have to say that part of what makes it so wonderful is your energy. This home is beautiful! From the moment you walk through the doors you feel at home. It is very, very spacious. We had the privilege of a family get-a-way after our son's wedding in August. We would love to return again someday. The kids all said it was their favorite home to rent yet! The only thing we wish was different..is ...we wish the hot tub was outdoor so you could enjoy the sights and sounds of the ocean. The views from the home are spectacular. It is a real "hike" to the beach...fine going down...it is the coming back that will get you...so after hiking it once we drove to the Harbor's private beach area near the club house and enjoyed the beach from there. If you rent this home...you will not be disappointed!
