Our family of 9 enjoyed our stay. Cabin is set among some beautiful trees, and we really enjoyed waking up to the birds singing and listening to them during the late afternoon/early evenings. We had ample room and never felt cramped. The living area had lots of room. I felt like the owners accurately described the cabin. The pool table and ping pong table were a hit. The kitchen was well stocked except for silverware and drinking glasses. Granted, our party was larger than some, but the information sheet stated the cabin sleeps 12-14. I felt like there should have been enough silverware and glasses to accomodate that many should they stay there at one time. There isn't a pantry in the cabin. The last 3 homes we stayed at all had one and I guess I have become spoiled. We brought along alot of food, and it was difficult finding places to store it or keep it out of the way. On the other hand, though, it was so nice finding a crockpot and tortilla warmer at the cabin. I wasn't expecting to find these. My other complaint would be the showers. The info sheet said 3 full baths and one half. Two baths are downstairs. We discovered the day we arrived that one of the showers was broken (water turned off and no handle to turn on the shower). Granted there were 2 other tub/showers, but one thing that attracted me to this cabin was the 3rd full bath. Kind of a let down. Enjoyed the hot tub our first night. After that, we seemed to have problems with the water temperature. We were told that the drive way is steep and the entrance onto CR4 when travelling south is a very sharp turn. It is. Not a problem, just something to be aware of. My parents were with us and had to park their travel trailer at the cabin. Turning onto CR4 and getting out the driveway was a bit tricky, but we were told ahead of time it would be. Susan was very gracious and helpful. Quickly answered any question we had. We fished at a pond on the south side of Alma and caught many, many fish. Loads of fun. Great hiking in the area. Seemed very close to Breckenridge. It was easy to get to wherever we wanted to go. This is a cabin I think anyone would enjoy.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

We loved the cabin. It is not a fancy or luxury type cabin, but it is very functional, has great views, and lots of room. We enjoyed the ping pong table, the pool table, and comfortably watched lots of football. We also cooked/grilled several times at the cabin. It's a great location if you like to be truly in the mountains and away from all the traffic and crowds. If you like to hike, WOW...great hikes all within minutes of the cabin. Alma is close by and it's a very cool little mountain town. If you want to do 14ers, well, there are several right there. Great place to stay.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.
