"Retreat at the Marsh" is a completely remodeled marshview condo on beautiful St. Simon's Island. This 1200 square foot professionally decorated retreat exudes southern charm, warmth and vitality. Pamper yourself and enjoy peace, relaxation, and adventure, in luxury. Everything is "top of the line"!
Designer furnishings, custom made linens, duvets, plush pillows, designer sheets, towels and blankets. Our home is fully equipped with lovely amenities throughout including a gourmet kitchen with granite countertop, new stove with convection bake oven, microwave, new cookware, flatware for eight, toaster, blender and coffee maker. This is a 5 star property. Both bathrooms were remodeled in 2010. The master bath is outfitted with a beautiful walk-in travertine shower. Very sharp! Our home is a wonderful place to create lasting family memories.
Retreat at the Marsh's convenient location is within a short walk of restaurants, shops, nightlife and full supermarket and beverage stores. Several wide, beautiful and breathtaking beaches (with plenty of free parking) are only a short 2 mile drive away. Pack a cooler or two, grab the beach towels, umbrella, chairs and beach toys(all provided) before heading out for a terrific day of fun in the sun!
Besides enjoying a perfect south central location close to beaches, restaurants, bike path and stores, the Retreat at the Marsh has a secluded partially covered 20-foot deck overlooking the ever-changing spectacular marsh and Dunbar Creek only a few feet away. The Western exposure makes it a great place to watch a sunset, enjoy a margarita and take in the rainbow of colors in the marsh. Birds and wildlife abound. Your own private spot to read a book, relax and enjoy the solitude...
The swimming pool is lit for evening usage and has a gazebo that is great for poolside picnics. Take a leisurely stroll through the grounds around the duck pond surrounded by graceful weeping willows.
Our condo is on the second, and top floor in a small quiet condo complex,"Skiff Landing". The unit has an open split floor plan with a master bedroom with a queen bed, television and ceiling fan and full luxury bath on one side of the villa and two bedrooms and a full bath on the other side.
One of these bedrooms has 2 twin beds, a television/DVD and new plantation blinds. The other bedroom offers a complete office set up with a computer, High Speed Internet access with Wi-Fi, monitor, fax, and copier. A deluxe concealed queen size Murphy bed easily drops from the wall equipped with a top of the line queen mattress.
This arrangement provides the best of 2 worlds: a complete office away from home and an extremely comfortable bed to relax and to dream about your next day of fun on St. Simons Island. No hide-a-bed back aches here!.
The vaulted ceilings in the living room and master bedroom with ceiling fans, make for an airy, relaxing environment to enjoy wonderful times with your family and friends. Open the new sliding doors from the livingroom or master bedroom to the deck and enjoy the tranquility of the sounds of the crickets and birds.
If you're in the mood for your DVDs, CDs or VCR tapes, there is a new 42-inch HD Sharp flat panel television to enjoy in the living room along with built in stereo speakers in the living room and outside on the deck. There is also another DVD player in the twin bedroom and a new 42 inch Sony HDTV and a DVD Player in the master. Better than a resort...
We have fallen in love with the relaxed, carefree lifestyle and friendly people at St. Simons. The climate, ocean, and atmosphere make it truly unique. It is a funky place a bit off the beaten path. Come and spend a bit of time at the "Retreat at the Marsh" and you too will become hooked by all its character and charm!

We can't imagine a better equipped or nicer place to stay. First class throughout! We spent a lot of time enjoying the deck and terrific marsh view. Your Condo is much nicer than the place we rented on SSI last year.Your Condo has it all...We want to reserve the same month next year.
