Enjoy the SLO-life in the 1906 Chapek House located about 5 blocks from the heart of San Luis Obispo with its renowned Thursday Night Farmers' Market, historic downtown and shopping. No car necessary for much of your stay with twelve restaurants/delicatessens within three blocks and downtown so near!
Surrounded by almost 200 wineries; eight miles to Avila Beach and mineral hot springs; twelve miles to Pismo Beach, Morro Bay, and Montana de Oro State Park, there are endless places to visit. Drive North up our beautiful Coastal Highway One 45 minutes to the Hearst Castle and our elephant seal refuge; another hour to breathtaking Big Sur. One and a half hours South to Santa Barbara. Great golf courses nearby.
The 1700 square foot, two-story, three-bedroom home is consistently described as comfortable with an eclectic mix of furnishings and warm colors reflecting the owner’s belief that a home is a place to relax and enjoy.
The downstairs features the Rose Room with a full-sized bed; tv room with DVD/VCR player, books, videos, and DVDs; living/sitting room for non-distracted "real" visiting; bright fully-equipped kitchen with dining nook overlooking backyard; three-quarter bath with large shower; and laundry room.
Upstairs, enjoy your morning coffee sitting on the balcony overlooking the foothills and Cerro San Luis (San Luis Mountain)off the Kelrik suite featuring a king-sized bed, loveseat, TV with DVD/VCR. The third bedroom, Maggie's Room is bright and cheery with a double bed, desk, TV with VCR and a closet of toddler and baby toys. Enjoy a bubble bath in the claw foot tub to finish your day (no shower in upstairs bath).
A beautiful flowering yard, fountains and deck provide areas for reading, eating, or just being quiet. The backyard is private, feeling miles away and yet right downtown. Begin or end your day in the Hot Tub. The deck is suitable for small gatherings. We are located in a lovely residential neighborhood so parking is limited, no loud parties or groups larger than 20 and sorry, no pets. Quiet time after 10pm.
