Clean and comfortable and very convenient (2 blocks) to best San Diego area beach and downtown. Well equipped kitchen, but could use a colander and some better charcoal grill utensils. Great for up to 5 individuals - we had a great time visiting with our new grandchild here and taking him for strolls along nearby beach. Wonderful neighborhood. As advertised and nicer than pictured. Owner was very accomodating and easy to deal with. Ideal if you are looking for comfortable and quiet digs and easyaccess to great beach or nearby Torrey Pines park. Highly recommend this rental.

This cottage not only has a perfect location (a very short walk to a fabulous beach), but also is a lovely, well-appointed house, with many thoughtful touches including toys for the children. All of the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The owner is easy to work with and prompt and thoughtful in answering questions. We would definitely return!

We just spent a great week in this charming beach cottage. It was very comfortable and homey, with a great location. I love all the shell decorations, just the right amount. There were only the two of us, but it would accommodate four or five easily. We will return.

I think the best compliment I can give about this lovely beach cottage is that my family and I can’t wait to return! Having lived in the North County beach area for 30 years before moving to the SF Bay Area, we chose Del Mar for a return visit because of its fantastic beaches and proximity to everything. The cottage was clean, inviting, well appointed, and carefully maintained. We were particularly happy that the kitchen had every dish, tool, and appliance we needed such that all we had to purchase was our food to feel right at home. We BBQ’d every evening and particularly enjoyed the fenced yard with its private garden area and patio, perfect for dining and relaxing. The beach is steps away, and quaint Del Mar is a short walk. The owner is obviously very caring, and our email correspondence was a pleasure. I highly recommend the cottage to anyone thinking about visiting San Diego North County, you will not be disappointed!

Absolutely amazing location, close (2 blocks) from beaches and about a 5 minute walk to restaurants, caffes and shops in Midtown Del Mar. Cottage itself is perfectly clean and convenient, carries everything (and even more) you will need for a perfectly relaxing vacation on the beach. We stayed with our 2 small kids and enjoyed the fenced yard with the nice garden where we had BBQs almost every night. 100% recommendable!!

I have been going to San Diego for many years, and by far this is my favorite place. I know I will be going back to this adorable cottage for many years. It is clean, roomy, I absolutely love the yard with the flower gardens....the carport is a huge plus, and it is so close to the beach. THe location is in perfect walking distance to many upscale shops and restaurants. Believe me, you will not be disappointed!!

Our stay in this home was fantastic. I was truly impressed with the location and cleanliness. Walking distance to the sand. The cottage is well maintained with current appliances. The laundry room is a definite plus. The carport is a plus as well. We are looking forward to staying it again next year.

This Del Mar Beach cottage is full of personality! Home was clean, well equipped and a short walk to beach and town of Del Mar. The fenced yard not only had a beautiful flowering garden, but also had a nice lawn to play on with dogs or kids. Having two bedrooms and two baths was a big plus. Rooms are large and the cottage is full of beach ambiance! Loved our stay there.

Wonderful beach cottage in fabulous location in Beach Colony. Great walking access to Del Mar beach, beautiful Seagrove park, restaurants (Jake's, Poseidon), Dog Beach and even 2 public tennis courts! Downtown Del Mar is a beautiful 10 minute walk. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay. The listing is accurate and the cottage is clean, well-equipped and well-maintained. The carport off-street parking is nice to have on busy weekends when street parking is jammed.

This little cottage was just perfect. The listing was very accurate and exceeded our expectations. The home was in outstanding condition, great beach decor, and everything you would need. I would definitely recommend this to friends and family and we would definitely stay there on another visit to San Diego. It is located a block from the beach and very near to a wonderful park area overlooking the ocean. It is within walking distance to many great restaurants and shopping. It is also close to many attractions such as Legoland and Sea World. We had a terrific visit and stay in this home and area.

very nice location, quick walk to the pacific ocean and very nice restaurants on the ocean. parking excellent no hassles or jockeying vehicles. Quiet and relaxing. Clean and kitchen is well equipped.Would easily stay ther again if opportunity comes again. full size washer & dryer which is handy if you have a couple of kids. nice experience all around

We had a great time at the Sand Dollar Cottage. This was our second stay at the cottage and our family enjoyed everything about this classic beach cottage. Incredible location- we never got in the car all week- walked to beach, parks, restaurants. The interior is immaculate and the kitchen welll equipped. This property is everything it is advertised to be and more. Hopefully we can return soon.

We had a wonderful time at this amazing beach cottage! The decor, ambiance and location of this historic cottage was better than we expected. Our children loved the sandy beach and the owner provides a wagon full of toys, chairs and umbrellas. The patio and private yard were fun for our evening barbeques and relaxing. It is a 5 minute walk to great restaurants and downtown Del Mar. We can't wait to return!

We had a great week at the cottage! Everything in walkingdistance, restaurants, shops, a little grocery store. Al the things that you could need in the kitchen are there. In the backyard there is a lemontree full with lemons. We made our own homemade lemonade. Having 2 bathrooms when you are with 5 people is great. The washing machine and tumble-dryer come in real handy. All in all we had a great week in a really nice beach house. If we come to Del Mar again we know which house we want to rent.
