We are fast approaching the 2010-11 vacation season in Belize. We hope that the information provided on the VRBO site will give you a good overview of our resort - The Green Parrot Beach Houses. So, just keep reading and find out more about us.
We have 8 charming beachfront cabanas located at Maya Beach, in Southern Belize. 6 of our beach houses are two story and will sleep 2 adults and 2 children. 2 of our beach cabanas have thatched roof, and will sleep 2 adults.
This is an idea location for honeymoons and anniversaries. Also, it is a wonderful location for touring Belize. You will have access to both water and land based activities. We can also book your air to and from Placencia and Belize City. What to do? Fishing, boating, snorkeling, diving, Monkey River tour, Mayan ruins, Jungle Preserve, Guatemala shopping, or just reading a book and sitting in your hammock.
We have our own library with books and games for your use. Belize has no libraries. So if you bring a book - leave one with us. We often lend to local residents that do not have access to reading material.
The resort has its own restaurant, bar, gift shop and we can arrange all of your tours while in Belize. The staff will make sure that your stay in Belize is a memorable experience.
This is a great wedding location. We will work with you to prepare the kind of wedding that suits your desires and budget.
If you are planning a trip from December to April --book as early as possible, as this is our high season and we get very busy.

Why the Owner Chose Placencia Village
We purchased the Green Parrot in 1999. So we have been in this location for 11 years. It is a dream spot - great beach, wonderful tropic plants, our green parrots, and a great staff. This is an ideal location to live and work. We just returned from a trip to Guatemala with our daughter (Stephany) and son-in-law (Brian). Had a great time in Antigua. We traveled by boat, bus and cab. Grand trip - wonderful food and sights in Guatemala. Lots to do in this area - if you are up for an adventure.
Hey! They are paving the road behind the resort --1st time ever. We are now at the 2010-11 travel season - and the road has been completed! This will be a great time saver and will make driving from Belize City much easier. Still, we recommend that you not drive after dark - there are only limited service stations and the roads are not well lit.
The Unique Benefits at this Bed & Breakfast
The key is focused service - on you the customer. We have a great bar and wonderful restaurant. The units are kept very clean as is the property. By the time you are here a day or so we will know your name and make this a special experience. We have local people working at the resort. Belizeans, Mayans, and management from Honduras --we do speak both English and Spanish - sorry no Korean spoken at this location.
