A wonderful part of our vacation

We were lucky enough to stay at this beautiful condo at the beginning of April 2011. Everything is even more beautiful than the pictures. I'll admit never having been to Hawaii before we were worried about whether or not we were choosing a good place to stay on our dream vacation and Menehune shores was perfect. It was in a great location between Lahaina and Wailea - beaches, shopping, everything we needed was nearby or a short drive. The property itself is very quiet and nothing beat falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean at night. Mike and Laylia were the best - great to work with. I'm not sure when we'll be able to get back to Maui but when we do I hope we can stay here again.

Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

Great Condo - Great location

March 2011 We were lucky to be able to spend 14 days in this great condo with amazing views and yes, you can see the whales from the lanai. The mom popping her head out of the water to take a look at us was one of my favorite memories - and happened in full view right in front of our lanai!. The condo was beautifully decorated and upgraded. You open the door and you feel like you are right on top of the ocean. We stayed with another couple and we never felt like we didn't have our own personal space. After sightseeing all day it was a wondeful relaxing space to come home to or even just to wait out a tsunami! The visitors and full time residents were all quiet making a very peaceful get away. The pool and chairs were cleaned every morning. Laylia & Mike were very prompt and professional with all of our inquiries and gave us personal tips on where to eat locally and great activities to take in - all great recommondations and appreciated. Perfect Family Vacation

This review is long overdue. We rented this condo in September 2010 for 10 nights and had the best family vacation. We traveled with good friends and their son. After a long plane ride with a 2 year old and a 4 year old, any jet lag we had was immediately washed away upon walking into the condo. The view is truly breathtaking. The pictures do not do the view justice. I felt immediately refreshed. The condo was clean, newly remodeled, comfortable, well stocked and had a great lay out for two families traveling together. My favorite part was the location to the beach and pool. It was literally a 5 minute walk to the pool and 2 more minutes to a small uncrowded beach. You could not ask for a better location for children. Also the beach has a rock wall that stops the waves from crashing on to shore; which is perfect for toddlers. Both falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the ocean was the most relaxing. Followed by a cup of coffee on the deck with the gorgeous view equaled perfection! We did not want to go home and will definitely rent this again. The owners were very helpful and accommodating. Ranks up there with our top 5 vacations. Thank you Laylia & Mike!

Aloha Mike and Laylia.After talking on the phone and e-mailing I feel like I'm talking to one of my adult kids.Besides being so caring and thoughtful we had an absoulutely wonderful time at your condo.We didn't want for anything.The weather could have been a little better but it was still warm and still Maui.The month of Feb.went really fast.We have been to Maui 5 times and always stayed at a smaller complex so staying here was going to be a huge change,I thought.What a treat.It was quiet,the area around the pool was never crowded and we met some great people,as always.My favourite pastime was watching the whales from the lanai.What an awesome view.Swam in the fishpond every day and walked Sugar Beach.I could go on and on but you get the message.Thank-you again and Mahalo.Fred,Lyn and Brenda

Mike and Laylia, We wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful time staying at your condo in Maui. The condo was spacious, the view spectacular, and the location was perfect. We brought our 2 girls with us and it was one of the most relaxing trips we've had together. The beach adjacent to the condo was tremendous- the water was warm by 9 0'clock in the morning and the cove was so calm that the kids felt comfortable at the beach all day. It was the first time we stayed in a condo and the experience was great. We will definitely keep your condo in mind for future trips to Maui and we will highly recommend it to our family and friends. My husband and I were fortunate enough to stay at this gorgeous condo for 10 days and we both had a great time. The first thing you will notice is the unbelievable view when you open the door, it is absolutely breath taking. We met a couple on the roof top BBQ and they came down to see our place and were amazed at how clean, new and tastefully decorated it was. Whoever decorated the condo did an amazing job, it did not feel like a rental it felt more like someone's brand new home in Maui. We stayed at the Westin for 6 days prior to coming here and I must say the view here was MUCH BETTER, beautiful sunsets every night! We will make this our new yearly rental. PS the restaurant downstairs has great food but the service takes a while so order a Mai Tai. Mahalo for the five star treatment, Carol McCormac
