The cabin was beautiful and just perfect for our recent trip to Blue Ridge. This was our 3rd trip to the North GA Mountains and Solitude was by far the best cabin we have stayed in. We do this trip to Blue Ridge once a year for the sole purpose of having quality family time. With 2 teenagers and 2 younger children, this cabin povided things for all ages from the nintendo 2 system and the pool table to of course the hot tub. The cabin was beautifully decorated, had great views, was very clean and still had that new wood smell to it whcih we really loved! We will definately be back.Did you find this review helpful? What a privilege to stay in this beautiful cabin with fabulous mountain views! We had a wonderful vacation and one we will long remember - I especially liked the hot tub, my children enjoyed the game room and my husband loved the pool table! We all loved hanging out together around the firepit! The owner was delightful to work with and the cabin was extremely clean and professionally decorated. We loved the location with lots of activities available nearby. We will definitely plan another stay here.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Beautiful, peaceful, clean. Spectacular view from the deck. Had everything we needed and then some. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to other. My husband and I stayed at "Serenity" for 5 days, and it was absolutely wonderful! We were looking to get away from our regular hectic, stressful lives - to unplug and unwind. Barbara was very friendly and easy to work with, even after I called her on a Sunday to tell her that I was concerned about bears getting into the trash bins (thankfully, we only ever saw their paw prints). The cabin's decor and amenities are great, and actually made me feel a bit at home. Views are breathtaking and relaxing, even from the hot-tub on the lower deck. The Ingles in Blue Ridge is really nice, and even had a surprisingly nice wine section. It was very convenient to get groceries there and then grill out some steaks, etc. - So, you really don't need to bring much with you. Blue Ridge is a warm and lovely town, with lots of shops and restaurants. We found out the hard way that a lot of restaurants are not open on Sunday evenings, so if you're staying that night, definitely plan to cook in. You can visit the Chamber of Commerce Welcome center for brochures and hiking maps, etc. One word of caution though is that the driveway to the house is pretty steep and is gravel, so just be sure that you're in a car that can handle it. We didn't need 4wheel drive, but I feel like our SUV helped. My husband and I wouldn't think twice about the opportunity to stay there, again! It truly was exactly what we were hoping for.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+.

My daughters and I went up for a pre-mothers day week-end. You can never tell by the pictures what you are going to see when you get there, but this place (Solitude) is much more than you expect. It is a beautiful cabin with loads of room. I have stayed in many cabins and I would recommend this one to you. This was our first trip to Blue Ridge and I was glad I choose this cabin because it is close to everything. The owner was very nice to work with. Take a chance.
