Near the end of a private road, high on a ridgetop between Tomales Bay and the Point Reyes National Seashore, Sea Ridge Cottage is nestled among Bishop Pines and Oaks. From all windows it's just you and nature. Hike directly from the property to nearby Shell Beach, Hearts Desire Beach or Chicken Ranch Beach. Discover hiking trails known only to locals just down the road. You don’t even need to get in your car. Conveniently located minutes away from both the Point Reyes Seashore and the shops/galleries in Inverness, you'll have more time to spend playing or relaxing.
Sleeping arrangements include a queen bed and a full-size loft bed. A daybed, two deep reading chairs, and a large window seat provide comfortable lounging areas to read, or just enjoy the views. Sea Ridge Cottage is an ideal spot for writers. Wireless internet is provided. Enjoy the antiques as well as art from local artists. A charming wood burning stove in the living room provides warmth and atmosphere. Peet's caff & decaf coffee provided, as well as comfy bathrobes, flowers from the garden, field guides, and maps for exploring. Sit on the deck in our rocking chairs or read a good book on our loungers. Listen to nature, identify birds and butterflies, or just enjoy the stars in the evening sky. This is a Smoke-Free cottage. Feel free to bring your well behaved dog.

My husband and I had 5 fabulous nights in this magical cottage. Completely private and quiet. Felt like we were sleeping in a treehouse, on most comfortable bed ever. Great location for hundreds of miles of Pt. Reyes hiking trails: just a few minutes drive to trail heads in National Park. We did a long hike (8 to 10 miles) most days, and barely scratched the surface. We hiked to beaches on Tomales bay right from cottage---local beaches with rafts and protected swimming areas. Kitchen has everything you'd need for cooking dinner, but instead we drove just minutes to excellent restaurants in the area. Next time we'll rent kayaks, just down the road. We can't wait to go back. Thank you Wendy!

Thank you for this wonderful getaway and hide away! We did feel cozy being 'Nestled in the Woods'. Hiking from the Cottage to Hearts Desire Beach was a special treat. Window seat was a perfect perch from where to do crossword puzzles and read books. We ate good foods and listened to great music. Next time we'll bring our daughter. She'll love it here.

Charming and cozy. Perfect place for a place to consider what it means to be 40 years old. The view into the forest from the window seat, the blazing fire in the evening. All the amenities needed were here for the perfect 'fabulous forty' experience.

Many thanks for sharing your beautiful cottage! I had a fantastic relaxing quiet 2 days here. Saw a lot of the park and had 2 much needed 12 hour sleeps!! I appreciate the small touches like the IPOD player, preset fire in the stove, coffee, warm bathrobe. This is exactly what I needed. Hope I can return someday with my son. This place brings out the exclamation point in me!!
