The Segui Apartment is simply adorable and located in a very nice area! It was very clean with plenty of storage for our luggage and belongings. The fully functioning kitchen and dishwasher gave us the ability to buy food at the nearby Jumbo and prepare some of our own meals. Silvia made our visit very enjoyable and made arrangements to have us picked up and brought back to the airport. On our arrival, we found a nice surprise of wine, dulce de leche, and other treats on the kitchen counter to add to the warm welcome. Our daughter, who is studying in BA, stayed with us in the upper bedroom and had plenty of privacy, her own separate bathroom, and terrace. We took every opportunity to open the doors and windows in the apt so we could enjoy the sights and sounds of the city. The air conditioning worked well on those warmer nights with high humidity and each room had a separate control to regulate the temperature. The apartment was well-secured with a locked front entry. We took advantage of the large park nearby for morning walks and used the subway, which is within walking distance, to explore the city. The subway system is very user-friendly in BA. Our favorite restaurant in the neighborhood was Coco Café. However, there are coffee shops and restaurants galore to experience in BA! Thank you Silvia, Marcela, Santiago, and Ernesto for your kindness during our stay in BA! It was a wonderful trip!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, sightseeing, adventure seekers.

We enjoyed our week at this great location. A bright apartment with a nice patio upstairs, windows and doors for lots of fresh air. A large supermarket and mall was a short walk, for everything one could need. One block away is a small market, and a superb small bistro. We would definitely return to this location. The owner and local property manager were easy to work with, and everything went without any surprises.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thks very much Bob and family for your lovely review

My wife and I stayed here with our seven year-old daughter. The apartment is even nicer than it appears in the photos, and the bookshelf full of good novels and guide books was a very welcome touch. There was also a binder with some nice (older) articles about Buenos Aires. We agree with everything the other reviewers have said. We came here in winter time, and the heat worked really well. Unfortunately, we didn't get to take advantage of one of the best features of the apartment -- the appealing terrace on the top floor of this duplex apartment. The location is in a quiet and affluent part of Palermo, right next to Parque de Tres Febrero. We found it to be a very convenient location -- the subway is close by and many bus lines are even closer. The giant supermarket is just a few blocks away, a small grocery store is only a block away, and a restaurant/market across the street (La Fondue) sells cheese, cured meats, and dried fruit (among other things). There are a couple of restaurants that are very close, and if you don't mind a 15 to 20 minute walk, there are dozens of restaurants within walking distance. Silvia is an extremely pleasant host, checking in with us by phone to make sure we had everything we needed. The property manager who met us was very professional and responsible. She also arranged for us to be picked up at the airport by a friendly and reliable driver (for just a little more than the cost of a taxi). We would definitely recommend this apartment to any of our friends.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Thks you so much for your lovely review.

My family stayed at this wonderful bright, sun-drenched property for one week, and the apartment was even more lovely than the description and photographs. The well equipped kitchen was perfect for making breakfast and lunch and for bringing home and storing leftovers from dinner. We loved the space, the three bathrooms, (even the tiny one), the lovely windows and doors that opened, and the upstairs patio made up feel like we were in a treehouse. The apartment had privacy, the beds were comfortable, everything was perfectly clean. (The stairway upstairs of the duplex is a little hard to navigate at first if you are exceptionally tall, but our sons got the hang of it.) We especially appreciated the helpful, prompt, and clear emails and responses from the owners. They arranged for what we needed, and for even what we didn’t know we needed, and helped us with arrangements from and to the airport. We would recommend this property to our closest friends and to others. We LOVED the location, near wonderful cafes, restaurants, the park, transportation, shops, small markets, and one major store that had everything! (Jumbo!) Wonderful restaurant for lunch or dinner, La Fondue, the cafe on the corner for breakfast or a light snack. You can just walk around and discover your own favorite places. We had contact information if we had any trouble with the apartment, including a super who lives in the building. Closet and drawer space, books and maps on Argentina were plentiful. The three modern TVs were great to have but were never even turned on, since we were so busy touring the city and relaxing when we were at “home" Wireless internet connection worked well enough for us to check in on line and even do work. Instructions and suggestions were clearly typed, as well as restaurant and sightseeing recommendations. You will LOVE your adventures in Buenos Aires when you have this gem of a property to come home to each evening, and you will thank and appreciate your hosts, Silvia and Juan, and anyone they recommend to help you during your stay. We look forward to returning to "our treehouse” apartment in Buenos Aires! Thank you so much, Silvia and JuanRecommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

We stayed in this apartment during our honeymoon this year and it was perfect. The location is the best in BA -- close to the great shops and restaurants in Palermo Soho but nice enough to look like Recoleta. The apartment is very comfortable and tastefully furnished, and the kitchen is well equipped. We were greeted upon arrival with fresh flowers and a complimentary bottle of wine. The owners were prompt and helpful in responding to my emails. We would definitely stay in this apartment again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

My husband and 11-month old daughter stayed in this apartment for just under a month and absolutely loved it. The apartment is beautiful - high end finishes, tasteful decoration and lighting, sumptuous king-size bed, 2.5 bathrooms, gorgeous sunny terrace, etc. The kitchen is excellent and well-equipped. One big bedroom and a den upstairs. The owners are from Buenos Aires and live here part-time, and the quality of the furnishings in the apartment reflect this - they have impeccable taste, and it is all modern and well-cared for. Finally, the apartment is on the top two floors of the building, which is great for those times that you don't want to go out but don't want to be tripping over each other! The walls are thick - we never heard any of the other tenants outside of the hallway. The location of this property is excellent. It is a short bus or cab ride from Palermo Viejo or Recoleta with all the shops, restaurants and bars that you might want. But this part of Palermo, we think, is much better. There are great restaurants here - our favourites included Elisabetta and a Mexican place nearby. A block from the apartment is Buenos Aires' answer to NYC's Central Park - the green lungs of the city, complete with man-made lakes and the Rosedal, a beautiful manicured garden of flowers. Don't miss the weekend rollerskate/bike/skateboard/tightrope walking/drumming/etc communities that converge in this park - amazing. We went for a daily evening stroll in this park and just loved it. The owners were a delight to deal with. From the first email exchange, the owner was not only quick to respond, but her kindness and love of her city and willingness to share it with us was incredible. They were a wealth of information with great suggestions for both BA and Uruguay and truly went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. In the apartment you will find all kinds of tips on restaurants to try, places to go, etc. in a binder of clipped articles and reviews, plus guidebooks. They also have a great staff: the property manager was very reliable and helpful. The driver they work with, though he speaks little English, is kind (he even stopped to buy my mother something to drink when picking her up) and a great driver. The maid is lovely and very thorough. I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to anyone who would enjoy a beautiful place to stay in a central, residential location as a base for exploring all that BA and beyond has to offer. We loved it!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.
