A very warm welcome to our tranquil, spotless and well decorated Parisian studio. The main room is 45 square meters. As the photos are showing, a lot of light comes through the large French doors which open on your private garden.
A feature RARE in the center of Paris!

In a very central location nearby Place de la Bastille and the old Marais, you will be near all the attractions, but far from the noisy main streets and in a very safe and secure neighbourhood.

The kitchen is fully equipped and its window opens on the patio and garden. In the main room you will find a comfortable double bed in an alcove, a dining table with its four chairs, a loveseat that can be open as a double futon, two armchairs, a coffee table, a flat screen television, a DVD and CD players and different choices of lighting. The large bathroom has a full bath, shower and a laundry machine.

Our neighborhood: La Bastille has a vivid nightlife, lots of cafés, and many affordable ethnic restaurants and French bistros. But better still, it is virtually tourist free, so you will experience the real Parisian life, the one most tourists never see.

You will also find many types of stores that sell cheese, wine, fresh bread and pastries, vegetables and fruits as well as pharmacies and banks.

In 12 minutes you can walk to Le Marais where you will discover Place des Vosges, often cited as the most beautiful place in Europe. Le Marais is full of activities and you will enjoy the buildings (16th and 17th centuries) it also offer a mix of boutiques, gay restaurants and Jewish stores.

From the Bastille Métro (an eight minute walk) line no.1 goes directly to all major museums and monuments (Notre Dame, Louvre, Concorde, Champs-Elysées, etc).

From the Voltaire Métro (a one minute walk) line no.9 brings you directly to two of the major department stores: the Galeries LaFayette and The Printemps, the Opera Garnier and the Grand Boulevards, where you will find some of the finest shopping in Paris.

And to top it off, a bottle of wine will be waiting for you as a welcoming gesture.

We are simply Paris obsessed, so even if you don’t choose us don’t hesitate to send us your questions. We love to talk about the most beautiful city in the world!

NEW : we now have a laptop computer with high speed internet, accessed by Wi-Fi in either the studio or the garden .
NEW : Free telephones to 70 countries including US, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, China, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany etc.

We stayed in this wonderful apartment from May 9 to May 20, 2012 with our grandson. We usually stay in the Marais, so I was a little worried that we would be too far from everything. My fears were put at ease the very first day ~ you are so close to everything you could possibly need here, including bakeries (3 in a 1 block radius), cheese shops, butchers, supermarkets (loved the Simply half a block away), wine stores, cafes, restaurants, tabac (1/2 a block away where you can buy your metro tickets), and fantastic public transportation options ~ the 69 bus and the Voltaire metro station literally a block from the apartment and the Bastille metro station about a 10 minute walk away. The garden is to die for ~ your own little oasis in the middle of Paris where you can have a glass of champagne and just hear the birds chirping away. After 8 trips to Paris, believe me when I say this is a very rare feature to have in any Paris apartment, especially one at this price level. We found the apartment very spacious for the 3 of us ~ the double bed in the alcove and the fold out futon were both very comfortable. There is lots of space to spread out, eat, relax and plan your days in Paris! Having a tub/shower is also rare in Paris and the water pressure and temperature were both great. The washing machine worked well and much faster than the combos we usually have ~ we put our laundry out in the garden to dry completely in the sun. The large closet was also a bonus ~ we stored our luggage there, as well as our clothes on the build in shelves and any shopping bags we accumulated during our stay. There is even one of those great rolling carts provided for your shopping ~ the great Bastille market is just 10 minutes away. The kitchen is small but very efficiently equipped with a dishwasher, ceramic cooktop, microwave and fridge. There's also a nice window out to the garden that lets in the light and air. Vanessa was there to meet us and answer any questions we had,and provided us with her contact info if we needed her. The free wifi worked seamlessly with both our mac laptop and our iPad and we also loved having the free calling to Canada to keep in touch with Seb's mom. We absolutely loved this apartment and would rent it again in a minute and would recommend it to friends and family without hesitation.

Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We had a fabulous stay in this apartment. Great location - close to the Metro, the Marais and other unique neighborhoods. The garden was a welcome sight at the end of each busy "Paris" day. Vanessa's smile and helpfulness were welcome additions to our stay. Thank you so much Jeffery and Luc for sharing your special place. We would stay here again in a heartbeat - and without reservation recommend it to those of you out there who are looking for a special place to stay. You can feel like a tourist - and a 'local' at the same time.

This is a wonderful apartment! It's location is perfect for either walking to the fascinating old districts of the city or taking the excellent public transport options (including the velib cycle system we tried on the last day!) Having such a peaceful garden to sit out in after adventures in the city is extraordinary. The neighbours are very friendly, especially Vanessa - very helpful - and the local shops are wonderful. A local boulanger was so amused that I got the gender of brioche incorrect - she gave me an extra baguette!

My wife and I stayed in this apartment during our trip to Paris from 1-8 May. I highly recommend this apartment to anyone thinking of visiting Paris. It was so nice to walk out the front door and be in a midst of a real Paris community. Leon Blum park is a couple of hundred yards away. The Voltaire metro stop is right there. We went to the Bastille market Sunday and Thursday and bought wine, produce, bread so fresh I couldn't believe it. Thanks to Vanessa for her patience with our poor French language skills. She is a gem. The apartment itself is awesome. The wireless laptop kept us connected to our children and friends back home and let us plan our activities for the next day's site seeing. It is in an ideal location and the garden was so peaceful at the end of a long day of metros and walking. I am looking forward to our next visit.

I have just returned from my first visit to Paris and wish to recommend this apartment to anyone visiting this wonderful city. Safety, quiet, location and convenience are always on the top of my list when I have only a minimum knowledge of my destination. This apartment had each of these covered in full. In my twelve days of staying there, I had no issue with noise and always felt secure. Because of its location within the building, you have zero street noise and the private patio garden offers a retreat to enjoy a meal or just sit, read and relax. This was welcoming after a busy day of touring and served as an extended living space. As for location and convenience you have only to walk 3 or 4 minutes to the neighbourhood square to find a multitude of must have amenities: metro, taxi cabs, pharmacy, restaurants, corner stores and two self-serve grocery stores. Also, in this square there are a number of shops with take-away prepared foods along with shops that specialize in pastries, breads, cheeses and meats. I found this to be a real cost saver and a convenience if I did not feel like dining alone in a restaurant. You can have fresh out-of-the-oven croissant every morning! Do not hesitate on renting this one. In the properties that I researched for the same price, it is far ahead of others in terms of safety, convenience and location. Needed amenities are at your feet and the metro will quickly connect you to the rest of Paris. You are greeted with friendly staff. You also have long distance telephone connection free of charge to 70 countries. This was a real plus to keep in touch with friends and relatives back home. There is so much to see and do in this city that I am already planning my next visit and will definitely stay here. I already miss the morning jaunt to get fresh baked bread.

Spent 10 days in Paris in late May/early June 08 using this wonderful studio as a home base. There's nothing like sitting in the garden and eating a "pain au chocolat" still warm from the corner bakery for breakfast. The apartment is very comfortable and the neighbourhood has everything you need: fresh fruit vendors, a great cheese shop, great bakeries and a range of take-out food shops for those nights when you don't really want to be in a restaurant. Can't wait to go back!

My husband and I spent 10 days in Paris last May/08. The appartment was just perfect and so quiet and a wonderful in every way. The private garden right through the patio doors is the perfect place to sit and relax after a busy day exploring this magnificent city. You also get a real "feel" of what it would be like living here that you will never experience in an hotel. The appartment is on street level but at the back of the building so that you dont hear any traffic noise. Finally a full kitchen allows you to cook light meal and to prepare that all important fist coffee of the day. I strongly recommend staying there while in Paris and I am certain to return.

We stayed for a week in July. The apartment is wonderful and relaxing - on a quiet street with quiet neighbors. The back terrace is beautiful. The apartment is larger than the photos make it appear. There is a walk-in closet and a large bathroom with washing machine. It is 2 min from Voltaire metro, 10 min from Bastille metro and 10 min from Père Lachaise metro; 3 different and useful metro lines. Vanessa, who lives in the building and takes care of the apartment, is helpful and intelligent. This is a gem of an apartment.

My Wife and I spent a week in Paris in late April 2007 and were priviledged to stay at this tastefully decorated and very well appointed apartment. We were blessed with perfect weather and as a result made extensive use of the outdoor patio and garden where the only sounds were singing birds; no street or other city noises intruded. It is conveniently located to bus and Metro transportation with many good restaurants nearby. A supermarket,a butcher shop/deli, a seafood shop, a fruit stand and 2 bakeries are within a 4 to 6 minute walk. We hope for a return visit to Paris within 2 years and equally hope this great accommodation will be available for us.
