We had a fabulous stay in this apartment. Great location - close to the Metro, the Marais and other unique neighborhoods. The garden was a welcome sight at the end of each busy "Paris" day. Vanessa's smile and helpfulness were welcome additions to our stay. Thank you so much Jeffery and Luc for sharing your special place. We would stay here again in a heartbeat - and without reservation recommend it to those of you out there who are looking for a special place to stay. You can feel like a tourist - and a 'local' at the same time.

This is a wonderful apartment! It's location is perfect for either walking to the fascinating old districts of the city or taking the excellent public transport options (including the velib cycle system we tried on the last day!) Having such a peaceful garden to sit out in after adventures in the city is extraordinary. The neighbours are very friendly, especially Vanessa - very helpful - and the local shops are wonderful. A local boulanger was so amused that I got the gender of brioche incorrect - she gave me an extra baguette!

My wife and I stayed in this apartment during our trip to Paris from 1-8 May. I highly recommend this apartment to anyone thinking of visiting Paris. It was so nice to walk out the front door and be in a midst of a real Paris community. Leon Blum park is a couple of hundred yards away. The Voltaire metro stop is right there. We went to the Bastille market Sunday and Thursday and bought wine, produce, bread so fresh I couldn't believe it. Thanks to Vanessa for her patience with our poor French language skills. She is a gem. The apartment itself is awesome. The wireless laptop kept us connected to our children and friends back home and let us plan our activities for the next day's site seeing. It is in an ideal location and the garden was so peaceful at the end of a long day of metros and walking. I am looking forward to our next visit.

I have just returned from my first visit to Paris and wish to recommend this apartment to anyone visiting this wonderful city. Safety, quiet, location and convenience are always on the top of my list when I have only a minimum knowledge of my destination. This apartment had each of these covered in full. In my twelve days of staying there, I had no issue with noise and always felt secure. Because of its location within the building, you have zero street noise and the private patio garden offers a retreat to enjoy a meal or just sit, read and relax. This was welcoming after a busy day of touring and served as an extended living space. As for location and convenience you have only to walk 3 or 4 minutes to the neighbourhood square to find a multitude of must have amenities: metro, taxi cabs, pharmacy, restaurants, corner stores and two self-serve grocery stores. Also, in this square there are a number of shops with take-away prepared foods along with shops that specialize in pastries, breads, cheeses and meats. I found this to be a real cost saver and a convenience if I did not feel like dining alone in a restaurant. You can have fresh out-of-the-oven croissant every morning! Do not hesitate on renting this one. In the properties that I researched for the same price, it is far ahead of others in terms of safety, convenience and location. Needed amenities are at your feet and the metro will quickly connect you to the rest of Paris. You are greeted with friendly staff. You also have long distance telephone connection free of charge to 70 countries. This was a real plus to keep in touch with friends and relatives back home. There is so much to see and do in this city that I am already planning my next visit and will definitely stay here. I already miss the morning jaunt to get fresh baked bread.

Spent 10 days in Paris in late May/early June 08 using this wonderful studio as a home base. There's nothing like sitting in the garden and eating a "pain au chocolat" still warm from the corner bakery for breakfast. The apartment is very comfortable and the neighbourhood has everything you need: fresh fruit vendors, a great cheese shop, great bakeries and a range of take-out food shops for those nights when you don't really want to be in a restaurant. Can't wait to go back!

My husband and I spent 10 days in Paris last May/08. The appartment was just perfect and so quiet and a wonderful in every way. The private garden right through the patio doors is the perfect place to sit and relax after a busy day exploring this magnificent city. You also get a real "feel" of what it would be like living here that you will never experience in an hotel. The appartment is on street level but at the back of the building so that you dont hear any traffic noise. Finally a full kitchen allows you to cook light meal and to prepare that all important fist coffee of the day. I strongly recommend staying there while in Paris and I am certain to return.

We stayed for a week in July. The apartment is wonderful and relaxing - on a quiet street with quiet neighbors. The back terrace is beautiful. The apartment is larger than the photos make it appear. There is a walk-in closet and a large bathroom with washing machine. It is 2 min from Voltaire metro, 10 min from Bastille metro and 10 min from Père Lachaise metro; 3 different and useful metro lines. Vanessa, who lives in the building and takes care of the apartment, is helpful and intelligent. This is a gem of an apartment.

My Wife and I spent a week in Paris in late April 2007 and were priviledged to stay at this tastefully decorated and very well appointed apartment. We were blessed with perfect weather and as a result made extensive use of the outdoor patio and garden where the only sounds were singing birds; no street or other city noises intruded. It is conveniently located to bus and Metro transportation with many good restaurants nearby. A supermarket,a butcher shop/deli, a seafood shop, a fruit stand and 2 bakeries are within a 4 to 6 minute walk. We hope for a return visit to Paris within 2 years and equally hope this great accommodation will be available for us.

My wife and I spent 6 nights at this beautiful appartment in April 2007 when we travelled to Paris as part of our honeymoon. We travelled for nearly 7 weeks throughout Europe but by far our fondest memories were of this appartment and our time in Paris. It is very close to everything you could need or want - groceries, restaurants and some key landmarks and was suprisingly very quiet and private. I will never forget walking to the local patisserie, buying a fresh croissant and eating breakfast in our own private garden courtyard in the heart of Paris on our honeymoon. I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone this appartment and I can't wait for the opportunity to travel to Paris and stay there again in the future.

We stayed in this studio from March 13 to March 20th 2007 and it was just perfect. Although it is located in the heart of Paris, it is very peaceful and quiet witch is really amazing. Metro, groceries stores, restaurants and stores are all located within 5 minutes. The studio has everything and I mean everything, even a garden. It is the ideal place form a vacation to the city of lights. I recommend it to everyone !!!

A very warm place in a corner of Paris I really appreciate. This apartment, with it'a private little garden, remains a stunning highly peaceful place in the heat of Paris. You feel much at home and the nights in this apartment are quieter than those at my county hometown in Bedford, even with the windows fully opened! For those who are fond of delicacies, the immediate environment is full of every culinary dreams (wines, cheese, pastries) and there is plenty of restaurants and cafés.Rent this apartement and you won't regret it!

I am a Frenchman, living in Canada. I was probably one of the first guests in this lovely apartment. I stayed two weeks and enjoyed every minute of my stay. The apartment is great, very comfortable and the terrace and garden are a definite plus. The neighbours are charming and helpful. I was surprised and thrilled to be greeted by a bottle of champagne and some fresh fruit in a crystal bowl. The apartment is close to everything. In Rue de la Roquette, Boulevard voltaire, Avenue Parmentier there are plenty of excellent restaurants, French and Ethnic. The buses and metro lines are most convenient. Even for non- speaking- French guests there is no problem being understood. The only slight inconvenience is the lack of telephone( I was told that the owner had problems with former guests using the phone to call the U.S. without paying one cent!). But it is easy to rent a cellular phone at the airport (generally at Car rentals offices). With no hesitation, I will rent this apartment again on my next trip to Paris.... if available!

My spouse and I recently spent a month in this apartment and loved it! It is in an excellent location - just a short walk to the Bastille Opera and on the edge of the Marais. The area around Place Leon Blum (a block from the apartment) is on the edge of a new very trendy section of Paris with lots of restaurants, clubs and shops. The apartment has everything - very spacious too - and it is very quiet - yes, I mean it! - very quiet in Paris! In addition it has a lovely garden that is a delight throughout the year and a comfortable terrace if one wishes to eat outdoors. This is an ideal location for those who love the Marais and the new "chic" of the area around the Bastille. We will rent it again many times in the future I am sure!We were 150% happy with this studio-apartment. John-Paul

This comment is a bit overdue, but we really had to let you know how much we appreciated our 12 days stay at your apartment. At our arrival we could not believe the light and space coming from the private garden. What a truly luxury to have a garden in the center of Paris. The amount of space we had in the studio is amazing, compared to some of the hotels that we have stayed in Paris at comparable prices. Plus we were able to do our laundry, and cooked bacon and eggs for breakfast. It was beautiful, clean, well appointed and we had everything we could possibly need.We also really like the location. How great it was to have a bakery, a supermarket and good restaurants so close by. The neighborhood offers every possible amenity and we found it completely delightful. The Marais was our favorite at 15 minutes walk and with the subway and the bus so nearby all Paris was at our feet. The internet café just 5 minutes down Boulevard Voltaire was extremely useful, and it was easy to buy a French SIM card for our cell phone. Therefore keeping contact was easy and cheap
