  We chose this home because of the reviews that said it was family friendly. I am so glad we did! We traveled to Kauai with 3 small children, a 4 yr old and 2 yr old and a 1 yr old. This home was clean, it was safe (no sharp corners) and it even came with a barely used pac-n-play (like new) and a booster seat for the table, and some great baby and toddler toys. They even had beach toys, beach chairs, boogie boards, snorkeling equipment for all shapes and sizes and great beach towels and blankets! The place was obviously well taken care of, the yard was beautiful and the inside of the house was spacious, clean and comfortable. The kitchen was so big and easy and fun to cook in, with all the cooking tools you would need. The our door BBQ grill was A-mazing! It was big, it was hot and I grill fish, burgers and chicken along with great tasting veggies at the same time. The location of this place is perfect. It is in a great little spot that easy to get both to Princeville quickly and easily and just as easy to get down to Kapaa and Lihue and the South Shore. The Anahola Beach that is like 2 minutes away, is perfect for kids, virtually empty and does have some nice snorkeling. I loved that we could go down to the beach, swim and play in the morning, come back clean up have lunch and put the kids down for a nap by 1 pm! The owner was so easy to work with, even when we realized that we had our departure date wrong. I will recommend this house to anyone and everyone I know that is going to Kauai. It really felt like our home away from home and that's saying a lot when traveling with little ones!

  The house is beautiful, but located so close to the main road that traffic noise is a constant irritant. This aspect of the home's location is not mentioned in the description. The property as a whole is well maintained, but the bathrooms were not as clean as I have come to expect from VRBO rental owners. In addition, all the bath towels were bleach stained and smelled of mildew. When I tried to wash a load of these towels the washer was already full of wet towels that also needed rewashing. The bed in the Master bedroom was very comfortable, but the beds and sheets in the guest rooms were of very low-quality. The mattresses were very hard, stained, and squeaky. I believe the owner needs to upgrade the guest beds and hire a better housekeeper.

This is our home away from home as well. We ask our guests to feel free to call us any time before or during their stay if they have any issues or short comings. The house was just furnished a few months ago with a full line of brand new bath linens. I’ll check with our house keeper, who’s been with us for years and as shown from our many other guest comments, does a Great Job Cleaning /Keeping our home. I’m shocked to hear that All of our bath towels have bleach stains on them and we haven’t been informed of it by other guests or our staff. We will look into it and make the necessary corrections. We are very up-front in answering any and all questions our guests have about our home. I wish we were aware of your comments when you arrived.   This is a hidden and affordable gem. The grounds are very well kept, the caretaker is very friendly, and the outside shower and view of the mountains is fantastic. We had a great time cooking and grilling on the large lanai out back. Andy the owner was great, you get the feeling he really wants you to relax and have a great time in his home. That is pretty easy to do when all the amenities are there for you. The location is just a few miles from Kapaa with lots of shopping and restaurants, and there are numerous secluded beaches within 5-15 minutes of the house. What a great home and a wonderful vacation, we will be back, hopefully soon!!!

  The home was easy to find and in a great location. We were close to some beautiful east side beaches and the town of Kapaa. Kapaa had stores and restaurants that had everything we could need. The Kongs were literally outside our back door and we loved to wake to them each morning. We enjoyed coffee on the front porch in the morning and cocktails on the back deck in the evening. The house had everything we could need with two bathrooms and a fully stocked kitchen. We were out most of the days sightseeing or at the beach so it was a great haven for us to come home to at the end of the day and grill or cook dinner. The open living area was a great place to relax and hang out together. Thanks to Steve for stopping by and making sure we were comfortable. Andy thanks for the use of your home and all the beach stuff we would love to come back again soon.

  This comfortable, well-equipped house in Anahola was *perfect* for our family's two-week Christmas visit to Kauai. It looks beautiful in the pictures, but they don't begin to do it or the views justice. The house was easy to find, and in a great location for exploring the island. It was clean and very well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including plenty of toys for our grandson and gear to take along to the beach. The rooms looked just as they did in the photos and were very comfortable. We appreciated the outdoor shower for cleaning up after trips to the beach, and the indoor rain showers were wonderful as well. We used the grill out on the deck quite a bit, but the kitchen has everything needed to prepare wonderful meals as well. Lots of great places to eat are nearby - favorites were Duane's Ono Char-burger, Moloa'a Fruit Stand and Banana Joe's for frosties, Ono Family Restaurant in Kapa'a for breakfast, and the Beach House restaurant in Poipu for a special treat. Just sitting out back or on the front lanai relaxing with a cup of coffee while taking in the views was lovely as well. Anahola Beach was a favorite hangout, and we got a chance to see whales during our visit to the Kilauea lighthouse! Andy was super friendly and helpful when we set up our reservation, and when we wanted to add some time, and Steve was also around while we were here to answer questions. Would we stay here again? YES! We'll definitely be recommending the property to friends and relatives who ask where we stayed.

  Great location for the bringing together the family from the multiple locations on the mainland, Japan and Afghanistan. It was convienient for sightseeing, hiking, and the beaches. With several children in our party, the availability of washer/dryer and dishwasher was a definite plus. Andy was most helpful in all aspects and was responsive to all questions and request. Would recommend this property and would consider it for another large group visit to Kauai. Highlights for our malihini family members were the Luau at Kilohana and deep sea fishing off the Waimea coast.

  This vacation rental was beautiful and accommodated our family wonderfully. This house is centrally located as it was easy to access the entire Island. The custom bathrooms, kitchen, and high ceilings make this home one of a kind. The kitchen has everything you need to cook or bake and the deck, outdoor shower, and watching the hang gliders made the evenings truly relaxing. The beaches were 2 minutes away and a general store down the road made it easy to relax and stay nearby. Games, toys, books, and movies were plentiful and CD players around the house made it easy to enjoy our music. Andy made the reservations seamless and the Steve answered all our questions when we arrived. There were boogie boards, mats, sand toys, and snorkel gear for all of us. The hair dryer was a bonus amenity we found when we arrived. Thank you to Andy and all the previous guests who made our vacation amazing and enjoyable.

  Our family enjoyed the house very much: it is spacious and comfortable with three large bedroom and an open living room/kitchen area. We are a family of four but the house can accomodate a much larger group very comfortably. The location is great -- a central location with an easy access to the north and south areas of the island.

  Our family stayed in this house for 20 days. We all loved it from the first time we came in. Its an amazing place that fit our needs perfectly. All the little details were taking care of. The house is in good location on the island. Close to Na Pali Coast and close to Kapa'a and Pop'u where there is sun if raining everywhere else. The caretaker was also very helpful and provided everything we needed. Will definitely come again very soon!!!

  This is an amazing home. Anahola itself is amazing, but after long days at the beach, farmers markets and going on hikes it was so nice to come home to the Anahola house. 1st, everyones takes a warm rinse on the outdoor shower, then maybe a proper shower in the "family shower" to get the kids really clean. 2nd. Everyone gathers around the kitchen/bar/dining room and has a snack , 3rd. fire up the huge grill and cook some fresh Ahi Tuna! There were 8 of us with plenty of room. Games to play, bunk beds for my girls....perfect! We would wake up the next day ad do it all over again. The house has 4 boogie boards and TONS of snorkel gear. Kauai is so exciting, there is so much to do all day. It was really nice to come home and relax. The place is nice, but not so nice that you worry about breaking something of walk on egg shells. You can tell this family has kids and loves living Aloha.
