Bear's Den is a privately owned and managed upscale, yet cozy, mountain vacation home. It is nestled high in the treetops of Cherry Log Mountain, with a magnificent view of the Cohutta Mountains. Over an acre, it offers a full wooded retreat, making it great for exploring or watching the deer go by.
While quiet and secluded, Bear's Den is a new A-frame cabin, which features a stacked, floor-to-ceiling, river rock fireplace with log mantel, knotty pine floors, along with a soaring knotty pine ceiling. With nearly 1100 square feet, Bear's Den boasts two bedroom, one of which is a loft, two full bathrooms, dining area, and a covered back deck with ceiling fans.
The open deck offers a Jacuzzi hot tub and a gas barbecue grill. You can watch a movie while the kids are watching Nick at Night on the two flat screen televisions that are connected to Direct TV. A third flat screen can be used for watching rental movies.
Bear's Den is a perfect getaway, just 90 miles from Atlanta, and only four miles from historic downtown Blue Ridge which offers dining, antiques, art galleries, ice cream parlors, and home-made fudge. You can even take the old-fashioned Scenic Railway to Tennessee.
This is truly a nature lover's paradise. Aska Adventure Area on the Toccoa River offers hiking, biking, fishing, white-water rafting, tubing, boating, and horseback riding. The famous Benton-McKaye hiking trail passes directly onto Bear's Den, and you are just minutes from Amicolola Falls.
After looking for some time for a mountain cabin, my family and I knew Bear's Den was where we wanted to buy. Crossing over the single covered bridge, the stress of every day life just melted away.
Come and experience what our family experiences every time we visit, that is, starry nights, quiet lazy days, and a tranquil feeling for your soul. |
