Casa LaMorena - 'The Moorish One.' The villa is located in the up and coming Mexican Riviera resort of Manzanillo Colima. It is situated on the highest point of beautiful Peninsula de Santiago, also known as Peninsula de Las Hadas, after the world-famous resort and golf club Las Hadas. The villa sits high above the Las Hadas Resort, facing west, enjoying the awesome view of Santiago and Audienca bays and fabulous sunset views.
This cliff house has been in my family since it was built in the early 1980s. I recently updated many of the living areas with new furniture, new TVs, computers, music systems, washer, kitchen appliances, paint, etc. You will have a local house manager taking care of you while you are there and will be treated like family by us and our manager.
Casa LaMorena is four bedrooms, four-and-one-half bathrooms, and over 6500 square feet of living space. Architecturally designed in Moorish and Mediterranean style. Every bedroom is a suite with its own bathroom and balcony or terrace. They all enjoy the bay and ocean views. A fully-equipped 'pleasant to be in' kitchen also overlooking the bay. A pool, patio, and ample terrace space, where you can relax and enjoy the view. You will be met at the airport by our bilingual villa manager, who will take you to the villa and explain the services and amenities provided for you (including maid service).
In addition to the easily accessible beaches to enjoy, you will find available, water sports, boating, sailing, water skiing, jet skiing, surfing, fishing, and more. Golf, tennis, fitness center also available. For a small fee, house guests may use the pools, beaches, and other amenities of Las Hadas Resort at any time. Enjoy surfing, scuba diving, snorkeling, deep-sea fishing, shopping, and dining. The La Hadas Golf Club is located nearby Villa LaMorena.
Nearby cities driving times: Mexico City - ten hours, Guadalajara - three-and-one-half hours, Puerto Vallarta - four hours, and Colima - one hour.
Golf Information:
* La Hadas Golf Club - this golf course, located nearby Villa LaMorena; it is noted for a hole with a sand trap located in the middle of the green and a par three, man-made island built out in the ocean.
* Club Santiago is located less than 15 minutes from the villa; it is a semi-private golf course with nine holes that is well worth a visit.
* Isla Navidad is less than an hour drive, offers 27 holes of ocean and bay front fairways; Golf Magazine awarded this golf course one of only two Gold Medals in Mexico; the mounds and views are abundantly striking.
* El Tamarindo rated as one of the ten best golf courses in Mexico; carved into the jungle, it features tall trees, ocean views, and undulating terrain; the course is not crowded and is extremely unusual for a number of reasons, not the least of which are the monkeys often seen on the course! This golf course is a 90-minute drive from the villa.
