This is a true vintage, 1947 cabin makeover that captures the essence of early McCall and combines it with the flavor of today. A tasteful mix of old with new makes for a delightful summer getaway or winter hideout. A solid wall of glass across the front opens onto a large deck area with stainless steel cable railing that allows for amazing views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Winter sunrises and sunsets paint the mountains in shaded colors that are vividly different to the bold strong ones of summer.
Earthy interior details include a radiant heated floor, a cozy gas fireplace, Mr Steam shower for two, and the original combed plywood kitchen cabinets and wall treatment.
Walk outdoors from the lower covered deck area which opens directly onto the sandy beach just 10' from the water. This deck is perfect for hanging out to watch the kids or play cards with no sunburn..... :) The large upper deck opens from the living room and the views are spectacular. Views of the sunrise and sunset are breathtaking. The colors that spread across the mountains and across the lake are endless. Bring your camera for some great photos.
Bring your boat or rent one for the private dock. Dine on either of the 2 decks or on the covered side porch.
Furnishings combine the original bamboo period pieces with contempory European ones for the best in comfort. 3 bedrooms are appointed with pillow-top mattress pads and snuggly duvets for a wonderful sleeping experience (king, 2 queen, double sleeper sofa, and an extra 2 person futon in the bunk house).
The kitchen has new appliances (including a commercial Viking cooktop), a farm sink, and a large butcher block island that seats 6 (great for indoor brunches and light dining). A modern office in the back has DSL wireless and workspace. There is a new Sundance hot tub on the lower deck that seats four. The billiards room (with a full-size pool table) has vintage slot machines, a flat screen television, and photos of a 1965-66 Corvair Turbo Convertible showcar (belongs to our son who collects them - currently has 23).
The house is located just one mile N on Warren Wagon Road. You can easily boat, bicycle, or hike to town. There are great restaurants, several hot springs, and excellent golf courses from which to choose. Winter allows for great snowmobile forays, or if you're inclined to ice-skating, clear a swatch of ice on the frozen lake for your own private rink.
HAVE MORE PEOPLE? You can rent our nearby Gladys House for an extended family get-away, reunion, or come with your friends. The Gladys House (#83144) will sleep 8. Within easy walking distance of the lakefront house.
Only 17 minutes to Brundage! Ask about ski packages. And don't forget Bergdorf Hot Springs!

Adored the rustic modern house with its simple grace and beauty. Waking up to the vast tranquil lake surrounded by white snowy mountains and just a great deal of peace being served with your cup of coffee. And each night a sweet red fox showed up curious at our window attracted by the scents inside, we refrained from offering snacks, but were tempted! Thank you for such a lovely way to open up to the New Year. Looking forward to a return visit!Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

The lake front cabin is the best we have found and the owners are a pleasure. We spent a week at the cabin during fall with all the leaves changing colors. It was perfect for the kids. Amazing sunrises over the lake and perfect views of the beautiful east mountains through sunset. Bonfires at the waters edge are a must. I had to work while I was up there and the office upstairs with WiFi met all of my needs and kept me close to the family and a part of the action. At night, the kids streamed Netflix movies as the parents took in the moonrise with a final glass of wine. This place is perfect and reasonably priced given all that comes with the property. Enjoy!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with young children, families with teenagers, pet owners, adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

This couldn't have been a better place to stay for our first trip to Idaho. As soon as we walked through the door we knew we had picked the right cabin for our long weekend escape. With a welcoming and comfortable interior, the cabin has a great mix of old cabin charm and modern conveniences. We used the gas fireplace daily and enjoyed some good movies on the big screen TV at night. The view of the lake and mountains from the kitchen and family room makes you want to pinch yourself. The spacious deck provides a pleasant way to take it all in and the well contained beach is perfect for kids. Honestly though, for us the most remarkable part of the house was our bed! It was the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in while on vacation. It made us rethink our bed at home! Our kids slept really well too, which is always a bonus. Overall, it was a joy to stay here and we hope to come back in the not too distant future for a longer visit.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Thank you so much, Vickie & Robert. Your home was everything described and much much more. We came to McCall for my sons wedding at the Shore Lodge and wanted to rent a home more intimate for family members, some who travelled a great distance. The kitchen was perfect for entertaining family and the barbecue well used. The wireless was a big plus with the last minute wedding details. he cabin is close to town and most main attractions, if your new to McCall be sure to take the boat tour of Payette lake..The Yatch club has the best prices and a great boat. We celebrated the 4th of July and watched the fireworks from your dock. The morning sunrise and sunsets were spectacular...my favorite coffee spot. I have several beautiful pictures for you. The beach was perfect and our family spent most of our time visiting outside on the deck and beach..... The wedding at the Shore Lodge went off without a hitch, was beautiful and we were blessed with perfect weather. My favorite luxury was the big comfortable bed I climbed into nightly, and the Mr Steam in the morning. Thank you again, The HumphreysRecommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I would absolutely recommend staying at this property. It was beautiful! The beach was great, the hot-tub and steam room were extremely relaxing after a long day, and the pool / game room was perfect. The description and photo's of the property were 100% accurate. The cabin was extremely clean and provides for a great getaway hideout. The owners were very easy to work with and timely with all responses and exchange of money. I plan on returning sometime this summer with my boat! Thank you!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I knew that we had found a gem after reading all the wonderful reviews and viewing all the beautiful photos of this amazing home, but when I corresponded with Vicki I was more than convinced. We were practically screaming for joy when we entered the cabin~it became even more evident that the owners were very passionate about this home and we were so grateful to be able to share their love of this cabin & location. The views are breathtaking...as we looked out over the upper deck at the mountains and lake, we were silenced in a reverent awe of the visual gifts we were presented to us. The cabin is immaculate and very well appointed with high quality bedding, appliances and kitchenware~ all adding to the complementary design of cabin and contemporary living. We utilized and enjoyed all the amenities including the steam shower in the master bedroom and the hot tub on the lower level deck. We had a blast in the billards room while watching football (mandatory). I would recommend contacting the wonderful folks at Cheap Thrills to schedule a day trip by snowmobile to the Bergdorf Hot Springs (not accessible by car in the winter) as it was an amazing experience! We skied at Tamarack and Brundage and really enjoyed both! We miss our daily visit from the Ginger Fox that graced us with his presence in the backyard and on the lakefront! He was so much fun to watch! We now have new family holiday memories that we will share forever! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Needless to say~we shall return!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We were there 10 days in mid September and had the whole area to ourselves (almost). Clean, spacious, and great veiws of the lake and mountains. Watched the full Moon rise up over the Lake, Wow. Enjoyed the private dock especially at cocktail time! Really liked the town of McCall: Bistro 45, McCall Jewelry Store & Paul's Market. The best part of all was sitting on the beautiful deck reading, visiting and staring. Would come back in heartbeat!! -Retired Couple from Henderson, NevadaRecommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, pet owners, adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Ohhhh...it was fantastic! The house, beach, weather and lake were perfect! From the moment we opened the door we were "in heaven" and although we returned to our everyday lives weeks ago I can close my eyes and hear the breeze in the trees and see the morning sun just peeking over the hills and kissing the lake. The "cabin" was even better than it was represented. Each room of the house had everything we could want with an abundance of function and charm. The kitchen was well equipped for shared cooking duties and good meals. Being right on the lake is the best and earned us big-time kudos from our family. We played on the beach, swam, boated, jet skied, fished, hot tubbed, sat around the fire, and drank in the view from the dock each day. The entire experience was restorative and memory-making! Our thanks to the owners and property manager for making it happen. We hope to return again and again and will tell all our friends!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
