This is a true vintage, 1947 cabin makeover that captures the essence of early McCall and combines it with the flavor of today. A tasteful mix of old with new makes for a delightful summer getaway or winter hideout. A solid wall of glass across the front opens onto a large deck area with stainless steel cable railing that allows for amazing views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Winter sunrises and sunsets paint the mountains in shaded colors that are vividly different to the bold strong ones of summer.

Earthy interior details include a radiant heated floor, a cozy fireplace, Mr Steam shower for two, and the original combed plywood kitchen cabinets and wall treatment.

Walk outdoors from the lower covered deck area which opens directly onto the sandy beach just 10' from the water. This deck is perfect for hanging out to watch the kids or play cards with no sunburn..... :) The large upper deck opens from the living room and the views are spectacular. Views of the sunrise and sunset are breathtaking. The colors that spread across the mountains across the lake are unbelievable. Bring your camera for some truly great photos.

Bring your boat or rent one for the private dock. Dine on either of the 2 decks or under the covered side porch.

Furnishings combine the original bamboo period pieces with contempory European ones for the best in comfort. 3 bedrooms are appointed with pillow-top mattress pads and snuggly duvets for a wonderful sleeping experience (king, 2 queen, double sleeper sofa, and an extra 2 person futon in the bunk house).

The kitchen has new appliances (including a commercial Viking cooktop), a farm sink, and a large butcher block island that seats 6 (great for indoor brunches and light dining). A modern office in the back has DSL wireless and workspace. There is a new Sundance hot tub on the lower deck that seats four. The billiards room (with a full-size pool table) has vintage slot machines, a flat screen television, and photos of a 1965-66 Corvair Turbo Convertible showcar (belongs to our son who collects them - currently has 23).

The house is located just one mile N on Warren Wagon Road. You can easily boat, bicycle, or hike to town. There are great restaurants, several hot springs, and excellent golf courses from which to choose. Winter allows for great snowmobile forays, or if you're inclined to ice-skating, clear a swatch of ice on the frozen lake for your own private rink.

LARGE GROUPS: You can rent one or two of our adjoining houses for a family reunion, several family get-aways, or just about any occasion. The Meadow House (#82533) is directly behind the Lake House, and will sleep 8. The Gladys House (#83144) will also sleep 8. All are within easy walking distance of the lakefront house.

  • What a Find! We just returned from a weeks stay at this lovely home. It looks just like the pictures do maybe even better. So comfortable and charming we can't wait to go back next year. The view is spectacular, comfy beds great dock and beach, perfect for anyone. The owners was great to deal with and property manager took care of everything we needed. Make sure you have pizza at Crusty's and Sandwiches and treats at Evening Rise two great restaurants. What can I say other than a GREAT TRIP!! We will return.

  • We had a great time!! We stayed in July. It was a wonderfully relaxing 5 days wished we could have stayed a bit longer; maybe next time. The weather was perfect for the majority of the time. We had a tiny bit of rain right when we arrived, and a brief strong wind storm. It seemed to be windy in the early eves. We liked it though, it was nice and cool. We go to McCall almost every summer. It only takes an hour and a half to two hours from where we live. My kids had a blast and my oldest son (14yrs) told me that this has been his favorite place to stay, out of all the years we have gone there. He loved the private sandy area, the dock, and the pool room. He also loved waking up in the morning in the living room looking out at the lake. The sunrises and sunsets were gorgeous. My son and his friend rode their bikes into town everyday. It seemed like the perfect distance for a good ride. My little guy (7yrs) loved the water and jumping off the dock and the "big rock". Also, he loved roasting marshmallows every night in the fire pit.I don't think I have played as much pool in the past 15 years as we did those 5 days.

  • We had a fabulous "4 sisters" weekend at the cabin. Gorgeous lake view from two decks, a hot tub and all the comforts of home. The cabin was welcoming and relaxing. I would reccomend this cabin highly, and plan to rent it again.

  • We spent the last weekend of spring break at the lakehouse with our four kids. Even after three days, we couldn't get over the amazing view. The house was great, and the pool table room and hot tub were nice bonuses.

  • We stayed at the Lambert's lake house for a week of snowboarding in early March, and had a wonderful time. The hot tub, pool table, and furnishings were great, but the views of the lake and mountains from almost every room were the best part. I would definitely stay here again, and would recommend it to anyone.

  • My husband and I exchanged our wedding vows on the deck of this home on February 14, 2009. We wanted a very intimate ceremony with our parents and the setting could not have been better. We spent a long weekend at the Lambert's home and found everything from the cleanliness to amenities perfect. The most lasting impression that this home has is the breathtaking view of the lake from the home. Large, picturesque windows in the main living room and master bedroom downstairs are amazing in the early morning, and I am sure stunning in the summer months as well. The Lamberts and their property management team were a pleasure to work with and we look forward to coming back soon.

  • I chose the Lakeside Cabin for my husband's 50th birthday get-away as a surprise. I was the one surprised when we got there! Perfectly renovated, perfect view, close to town, wonderful decks, hot tub, beds and steam shower. We enjoyed the fire pit, the white sandy beach and we caught two trout from the dock (on a worm). It was the end of October, in the 70's. The snow geese were floating by and the fox was friendly. Couldn't have been nicer. I thank the owners for this great opportunity and we will definately be back.

  • WOW... My wife and I had a great time while spoiling her with a surprise 30th birthday party. The views in the morning where perfect. Fresh ground coffee sitting on the deck at 7 AM ...You would have never thought we would have 70 degree weather in the Middle of October..... The cabin was everything we where looking for....All the amenites you could ask for, Top notch appliances, great BBQ, wireless, W/D along with a private hot tub... and yes the steam shower.... . Mc Call is only about three hrs.away, with us being able to stay at the first class Lambert Lake House it will be a annual trip.. Thanks for sharing your home with us.... See you soon. The Jackson's

  • This was a wonderful and well-deserved trip and the location could not have been better. We loved the steam shower (every night) and the outdoor jacuzzi. We were visited by a 6 point Buck and a beautiful fox with a tail as long as his body. The September weather was perfect and we caught our limit of trout every day. Thank you for the perfect vacation!

  • July, 2008 As a family, we spend at least a little time in McCall every summer. The Lambert's Lakeside cabin is our most comfortable accommodation yet and a prime example of getting what you pay for. There was plenty of room for everybody, the beds were comfortable, and there were lots of well functioning bathrooms. The deck was a great place to admire the view and drink a little vacation wine, and the dock provided prime early morning fishing opportunities for two small boys and their dad. The beach was the right size for digging holes and building levees and the swimming area had a sloping sandy bottom good for children. This house is charming and we greatly enjoyed our stay.
